There used to be a little independent Indian gas station by where i lived when I was way younger. When EBT first started the owner would pay 25 cents on the dollar and sell for 50-75 on the dollar. He retired in 3 years and sold the place.

They will eventually find more than enough evidence to convict Trump of every law they claim he's broken, even if they have to manufacture it.

Other than the Doughboy/Stormy case, "They" are not able to get any meaningful trials started. But, as you said, they'll keep trying. But time is running out. In 12 months, Donald Trump will be U.S. President again.

Doubtful anyone will read this, but in the DOJ filing yesterday to rebut claims in a Trump filing regarding discovery and that various agencies within the government are part of the prosecution there is more detail about everything leading up to the search at MAL. They do have all the emails of the contact NARA had with Trump's record Keepers at MAL starting early in 2021, they provided recorded interviews with witnesses to the defense, they provided the CCTV footage to the defense, they address each and every claim made, etc. It's around 70 pages on pdf format.

the documents case is the silliest of all. He has admitted to everything, he had the documents, the only question left is, was he allowed to have them. He believes he was, the government claims he was not. Had he only stored them in the garage, none of this would even be a problem.

I liked the part where Trump tried to claim they didn't turn over the CCTV footage but it turns out Trump and his team just didn't know how to use the video player.

I don't see how having thousands of pages of classified information scattered across a very public place that has been documented to have been breached by foreign spies on a number of occasions and then trying to cover it up when called out on it is silly.

Yeah that was pretty classic. I had a giggle at that. "It was a user error that was resolved."

And that his defense didn't realize that the government had the emails that went back and forth between his team and NARA?
Nor that they do not know that NARA itself can't legally compel them with a subpoena and other legal processes? NARA is an archive.

Or that because the government had to go to the departments that handle NATSEC and the intelligence depts to get info on the docs that were found, just as they would go to any victim in a crime, does not mean they are part of the prosecutions "team".

If Trump is still in possession of classified documents, why shouldn't they be recovered?

Maybe the FBI should have done a complete job the first time instead of coming back a year and half later and saying ... 'oops, we might have missed something'.

As I've said, I'm not a Trump fan, but coming back a year and a half later and trying to say they missed a closet ... that's lame.

I'm sure you think it's a national emergency if Trump does it, but it's an honest mistake when Joetato steals documents from a SCIF. See, it's the part where you are intellectually dishonest that makes this so fun.

Trump admitted to having the documents, so the outrage over this is comical. (that's the silly part) He thinks he can have them, and the government says he cannot. And apparently the government hasn't a clue what he has, had, or may have. Which makes this even funnier. He had them for a while, but when he has them beyond Jan 20, 2021, all of the sudden he's going to sell them to Russia. (since he's hurting for cash and all)

I wonder if you folks have the ability to see how the rest of the world sees you.

I wonder if you are aware that if Trump is elected again, he will have access to and may even keep some classified documents. Will you want him arrested then as well? (don't answer, I know, OMB)

He was subpoenaed by the court to hand over all documents with classified markings. Instead of complying, he hid documents, and then had his lawyers lie and say that all documents were turned over.

I'm all for the FBI looking lame if it means they're able to recover sensitive documents relating to national security.
