I think Jay1980 has is right. What do you really want to discuss?
He was talking about the Harvard ex-President.
This thread is about the Diversity Officer.
They are not the same person.
Totally different topic.
He was dead wrong.
And now ... since you think they are the same person ... so are you.
Claudine Gay (born 1970)[2][3] is an American political scientist and academic administrator who was the 30th president of Harvard University, and is the Wilbur A. Cowett Professor of Government and of African and African-American Studies at Harvard.

People in her position or prestige pay others to make sure they do not make mistakes.
Stop defending her, she is a piece of crap.

Sorry to say this, but in your ignorance of defending what this woman in her prestigious position has done you are completely lost in the sauce, my friend.
Her diversity and skin color is not an excuse for her deplorable behavior on stealing other people's intellectual properties.
Diversity my latino butt, she is a liar and an opportunist no giving credit to others or maybe the intellectual work she has stolen belong to a white person and is all good.
An independent panel found she made citing mistakes nothing more. The only deplorable behaviour is from those on this thread that spew hate for the diversity paradigm change.
An independent panel found otherwise...sorry.
It also found that a third paper, written by Gay during her first year in graduate school, contained “identical language to that previously published by others."
The corporation initially rallied behind Gay, saying a review of her scholarly work turned up “a few instances of inadequate citation” but no evidence of research misconduct. The allegations of plagiarism continued to surface through December and Gay resigned this month.

explain the sighting mistakes. IN YOUR OWN WORDS so that we know you aren't borrowing someone elses ideas. And look into the definition of plagiarism so you fully grasp the straws you are grasping at.

So we got her title wrong, let's move on to the real issue. I see many of the usual members have already broached the real topic of this thread. Diversity and why we hate it, everywhere.

ha, this from your link tells me Havard is covering hers and their ass by saying their is no evidence.
It also found that a third paper, written by Gay during her first year in graduate school, contained “identical language to that previously published by others."
identical language, i guess as time went on she got better.
then this from your link,
The corporation initially rallied behind Gay, saying a review of her scholarly work turned up “a few instances of inadequate citation” but no evidence of research misconduct. The allegations of plagiarism continued to surface through December and Gay resigned this month.
when congress got involved it was time to cut bait, can't loose all those govt funds.
first allowing her to correct her papers, then congress gets involved and she resigned. you can bet they gave her the choice resign or be fired.
if it was me and i was innocent, i would have fought harder to clear my name.

and because you eluded to racism, everyone should shut up and accept your flawed reasoning. How about no.

No. It's not just 'her title' that got wrong. You both went went on yammering thinking this was about the ex-president of Harvard when in fact it's about the Diversity Officer who was ALSO caught plagiarizing. You didn't even read the opening post, or you did and got confused.
let's move on to the real issue.
Getting the facts straight about the entire topic of this thread IS a real issue.
I see many of the usual members have already broached the real topic of this thread. Diversity and why we hate it, everywhere.
That's crap. Are you going to try to claim people are talking about this because those women are black females and that if they were white males it wouldn't be a problem?? Racism and sexism? Bull. People here don't 'hate diversity'. People here hate that the elite at Harvard are getting promoted when they do not deserve it. Students get kicked out of Harvard for doing exactly what these elites have done. People here hate that the elite at Harvard are trying to cover for the bad behavior of other elites. People here hate that Harvard refuses to acknowledge that it is hiring people who do not deserve the jobs they are getting.

Where did an independent panel investigate the Diversity Officer of Harvard and show that she didn't plagiarize?
Do you have a link to that?

YOU said people hate diversity.
So it's YOU insinuating people are racist and sexist because they want justice.
