Yeah, sounds like Biden. It's a progressive thing to right the wrongs of exploitation. Like Jeep with the Grand Cherokee. Anything European or colonial must feel shame for their victorious displays. Even historical artifacts that bring culture to life.

His administration has been mostly well-meaning attempts to make it an inclusive, prejudice free world. Where injustices of the past, and a culture of discrimination is righted. All paved in the best intentions.

And honestly, that's his deal with the border too. He wanted to be the anti-Trump beacon of hope. Instead of "putting Mexican kids in kennels" he wanted to a bit of PR against the "Xenophobia" equated with Trump. This is a lite version of that.

And it has proven to be a hell of a point for EVERYONE to exploit. This is more well-meaning good guy badge stuff. It's good to prioritize.

Do you really think the boarder is wide open because the Democrats have good intentions? That they are just misguided? Don't be fooled. They know exactly what they are doing.

And while I will concede that you may be right on this subject of the thread, they may have just not thought it through, you must realize that the end result is effectively getting rid of native American exhibits. ...and that seems to be in line with the historic principles of the democratic party. Don't forget, this is the party of slavery. This is the party of Jim crowe. This is the party of the KKK.

Don't put it past them to use your feelings and sympathy and compassion as an excuse to wipe out non white cultures. they are devilishly manipulative and deceptive.

This is the party that recently supported the "anti racist" protesters who tore down a statue of Lincoln that was paid for by freed slaves.

This is the party that supports antifa. A group that under the guise of being anti racist beat up a gay Asian man with a lead pipe to the head smashing his skull and beating him to the edge of death for filming their "mostly peaceful" protest.

We are talking free votes... There have been more illegals that came in this year than the population in 33 states, so how do you turn red states blue... Either with illegals or Californians' mass exit to other states. Colorado used to be very Red, as did AZ, go to Austin and you see little CA there now.

The interesting part is this is biting them right back in the butt as even liberals are saying WTF!!!

It seems every time the liberals pull a stunt it backfires on them.

Don't forget the #metoo movement that went after Conservatives and then they just started eating their own. Let's not mention BLM...holy hell, the biggest scam in 50 years and they dumped their money into it rioting on its behalf now we have a few rich Black people to show for it all, and the inner cities still burned.

Then, of course, we had the homeless-friendly, sanctuary cities, and progressive prosecutors and that all added up to the death of cities, some don't know it yet, but has anyone been to Portland recently...holy hell...geez.

The most fun is called the Trump curse in that everyone who attacks him ends up either in jail instead or their careers are ruined. The latest cursed is Fani Willis who is going to be impeached and might even do time, but whatever career she had is over.

You have to look past their words and judge them on their actions.

They don't care about brown people and never have.

They don't care about human trafficking. They don't care about rape trees. They don't care that under age girls are routinely coming across the boarder and given birth control because it's not not a chance but a guarantee that they will be raped.

Look at what they do and disregard what they say.

This is the party that when asked why we need illegals would routinely say "well, if we don't have illegals, who is going to clean your toilet?"

That sounds like they look down on Latinos to me. I think they only recently realized how racist statements like that sound / are.

Yeah, well you've heard Joe. He wants to make MAGA the enemy of progress. And maybe they are, and will admit they don't like the progress Joe represents, and it's a willful regress to shove change up a liberal ass.

That progress going around is an imprint of California, so while I don't care, and 60% of California doesn't care because it already is that way for us, Arkansas really isn't on board. And California can't make Arkansas get on board.

What I consider most Amazing is conspiracy isn't anymore. And there is legitimate attempt to suppress the evangelical reclamation that piggy-backs Trump.

The danger is the "Deep State conspiracy". No ifs ands or buts. And Trump capitalizes on his place in that with such effectiveness they deemed his most hard-core followers threats. And in the process of trying to suppress it they gave it credence which increased its appeal and made it hard to ignore. It's like a parasitic symbiosis now. A feedback loop.

And what it boils down to, if I'm to use generalizations for both sides.

Things most important to:

Democrats - Diversity, equality, meddling, openness, coexistence, reparations, atonement, transhumanism, science.

Republicans - Rifles, economy, parents, unsecured border, LGBT interdiction, christ, abortions, national security.

It's all about those two being at odds.

I've heard tales of the Californication of Austin from a recent returnee. It was a lateral move in cost of living (even without income tax) that gets hot as sh*t in the summer.

They left for shangri-la and came back 4 years later.

It starts to load the article then pops up a window asking me to subascribe. It (the NYT website) has done this for as long as I can remember. I do seem to recall that itw would allow you a very limited number of 'free reads' per month or something, so...

Either they still offer some number of free reads per month and I've exceeded mine and you haven't, or you're a paid subscriber, or you're on some kind of free trial or something.

This may be accurate. I may have at some time clicked a "continue with Google" button, but I have never paid for content.

Sad that so much "news" is paywalled today. Most of the articles I found on the subject of the thread, copied and pasted from the article I linked to but conveniently edited out the sentences that would give you something to think about.

On a side note I've noticed that Fox News web site is basically useless as every time I try and read an article there it asks me to pay for it.

Isn't Ralph Northram (sp?) Still in office? This is a guy who is/was a governor who said he might not be the guy in the photo wearing black face. In fact he might be the other guy in the photo wearing the klansman outfit. He's done it so much he can't remember. And he stayed in office!!!!
