I did not make that claim or even allude to it. Problem being here, as it always has been, is that the removal of an American citizens civil liberties MUST come with due process.

A disqualification isn't a revocation of civil liberties.

A federal judge has dismissed Donald Trump's request for a new trial in a civil case in which a jury found him liable for sexually abusing and defaming columnist E Jean Carroll.

Mr Trump was ordered to pay $5m (£3.9m) in damages, which he argued was excessive based on the jury's verdict.

The jury found Mr Trump guilty of battering the columnist, but stopped short of finding the former president guilty of rape.

Are you saying that due process is not exercised during a civil trial?

Which argument do you think I have lost?
That there was an insurrection, the Maine SOS cited the Jan 6th Committee's evidence in her ruling against Trump, that due process has been followed in every court and congressional case that Trump has been called into, or that a court ruled that Trump is a sexual predator?

I think I nailed all of them!

Okay. So, what are the on-topic empirical facts that you're asserting, that my tangential posts are deflecting from in this thread?

Because all I'm hearing is a bunch of whimpering and whining about unfair poor little Trump is being treated by the mean, mean liberals, debunking your arguments!

You argue like you are just trying to get under people's skin.

The Constitution does not allow for people to be disqualified from running for President based on accusations.
It's that simple.
Trump has never been charged or convicted of insurrection.
Opinions on whether it was an insurrection or not are pretty irrelevant.

SCOTUS will undoubtedly rule the Colorado decision unconstitutional and Trump will be on the ballot.

Oh, but he has been charged, with "inciting an insurrection" and impeached by The House of Representatives. He was not convicted in the Senate,, but his impeachment stands, just like Bill Clinton's impeachment stands.

The Constitution does not allow for people to be disqualified from running for President based on accusations.

Is that the imperial fact that I'm tangentially deflecting from? I'm here to tell you that there are officials in 14 US states that disagree with you, and have pending cases to have Trump removed from their states' ballots as well.

The 14th Amendment doesn't require a criminal conviction. It's being argued, by Maine's SOS, that the case made by the Jan 6th Commitee met the burden of proof to declare that President Trump did engage in conspiracy", which is all the 14th Amendment, Section 3 requires for disqualification. Of course, the framers built in a remedy for an unfair disqualification; a 2/3 vote to remove said disqualification.

That's an argument that the US Supreme Court has to decide, among others, like is a president an officer of the USA and was Trump acting within the scope of his presidential duties.

SCOTUS will undoubtedly rule the Colorado decision unconstitutional and Trump will be on the ballot.

We shall see. Hopefully, sooner than later.

That there was an insurrection There was a large scale riot. Call it what it was. You cannot have an insurrection against yourself. Hew as the sitting POTUS.

The Maine SOS cited the Jan 6th Committee's evidence in her ruling against Trump There is no Jan 6 committee. That was voted down by the Senate. They disbanded with no criminal convictions of Trump

That due process has been followed in every court and congressional case that Trump has been called into All Civil cases ruled by judges before trials....

that a court ruled that Trump is a sexual predator? No, they did not or else he would be on the National Sexual Offender register.

This is all about saying Trump caused an insurrection, has 2 impeachments, is a rapist and has 93 indictments....for the media.

Those who voted for him in 2020 could give two farts less....and more will vote for him in 2024.

The US President is not a king. The President takes an oath to uphold and defend the US Constitution during their 4 year term of office. The insurrection was against the US Constitution

They disbanded with no criminal convictions of Trump

The Senate has no power to vote to convict anyone of a crime. They can only vote that an officer of the USA is guilty of the charges listed in the articles of impeachment, and vote that he must leave office and not run for office again. Only the Judicial Branch can convict a person of a crime. That's why Trump is facing 91 charges and 4 indictments in criminal court.

If only there were a way to prove that what you say is true.......

Some sort of process in which evidence is weighed, testimony given, vetting of information, admissibility and of course adversarial rebuff......
