IMHO The realization of the truth is often over the top and why the accountability the same truth can be so brutal.

Doesnt change the reality that socialism and communism lead to oppression by taking your free will. Jesus wanted people to have free will.

We use these terms politically nowadays - as both weapons and propaganda. There's almost no way we can use them in this conversation unless you want to have a little talk about what they actually mean to each of us - without the spin

Humans are born sinners. Without Jesus and forgiveness humans will always self preserve to a fault. Whether its greed, glutton, lust etc

We are born sinners - with free will. We will always choose self preservation

Is this accurate though? Do we always choose to protect our own interests? Sometimes we save others

Human nature will calculate the risk/reward of saving others. Beyond that empathy and compassion comes from your conscience or spiritual wisdom.

I think its just stating the obvious about human nature. Some people are more like the ant and others are more like the grasshopper.

There's a little bit of synchronicity. I've had old Aesop on my mind a lot lately - this fable specifically

I don't see Jesus as being an ant kind of guy. Or a grasshopper kind of guy for that matter. Maybe lilies of the field is closer

What I'm wondering is why you won't answer the question about why Jesus chose to preach. Maybe you believe you have answered it, and I'm just not hearing you?

And then, where did Jesus say he believes in free will? I have it on good authority that free will doesn't exist. So. There's a monkey wrench. But whatever - I just am wanting to understand why you believe Jesus actually wants for us to have it
