To begin with, my friend, please explain how mentioning the law of a country adopted in another country violates the law of a third country?

I never said it did. You're the one who demanded, after I posted a Russian banned Pussy riot protest video, that I show respect for Russian law.

I do not offend US law in any way. Are you against Freedom of Speech as proclaimed in the US Constitution???

You are confused. I am allowed to criticize your speech. I can boycott and protest against you and what causes you speak of. The US Government, on the other hand, may not.

Then the US intelligence services will have questions not for me, but for you, my friend)))))

LOL

Wonder who's next on the list?

I just smile at your assumptions)))

If you are for Freedom, then learn to respect the opinions and choices of other people, peoples and countries. Otherwise, you are not for freedom, but for dictatorship. And this is the opposite of Freedom.

Persecution of the majority is a violation of the key principles of Democracy.

It leads to Dictatorship.

If you respect the Law in the USA, then please respect the Law in Russia.

I'm not in Russia. I'm in the USA and that video isn't banned here. I'm free to post it in this thread of yours, bragging about Russia's treatment of LGBT, like Pussy Riot, whose members were jailed for their speech and their defense of self-expression.

How can I respect the laws of a country that celebrates silencing their people and taking their people's basic free speech rights away? I can't. I won't.

That is, you consider your laws to have priority over the laws of countries throughout the rest of the world?
My friend, this is pure Nazism.

In this case, our laws have more freedom. That’s the opposite of authoritarian as you tried to imply.

Did I understand correctly that you are now trying to justify Adolf Hitler and his Nazism?

Clearly not.

Only one of us have even brought up the word Nazi or Hitler, and usually it’s the one that has run out of arguments.

Like how you respect my opinions and my support for the opinions expressed by the members of Pussy Riot? You first, my friend.

Persecution?

Letting LGBTQ+ have equal rights (to be who they were born to be) is persecution?

Really?

Who is persecuting who?

By the way, and I hate to break it to an old friend, but you are actually already living under a de facto dictatorship .

I guess Russia will miss out on making comedy...

Lady Ballers | Official Trailer

Though,
Russia must be commended for their actions in banning an extremist organization. 🏆

Thank you. I do not accept LGBT people, but I had many acquaintances, especially when I was engaged in antiques, who were gay colleagues. They were visiting me, causing my daughter and her friends to giggle, but I respected their choice if they didn’t start showing me their...hmm, how to put it tolerantly...excessive attention with suggestions. But the overwhelming majority of Russian citizens are against the aggressive imposition of LGBT ideology. Hence the laws adopted in Russia. And this must also be respected.

Good job for them. To bad we didnt do that over here in the states.

Well, we here in the United States have a Constitution that forbids government impingement on the right to assemble, free speech/expression and the freedom of religion and religious expression.

So LGBT is a religion? MAkes sense.

Separation of Church and state, get it out of our schools now!

Must we also respect Putin's laws about banning protests and criticism of his War (don't mention the War, or is Gulag for you) etc?

You can do anything that is not prohibited by the laws of your country.

What are you on about?

I’ve been arguing that freedom of religion is a good part of the constitution.

You’ve eluded to governance under a single religion possibly being a good thing.

Please remind me how my argument could lead to a Nazi Germany type situation, or how I could even be perceived as supporting such.

One thing leads to authoritarianism, and that’s Dogma. The antithesis to dogma is allowing all ideology so long as it doesn’t infringe on someone else’s.

You’re off your game today.

But when the laws of a country are made by a Dictator who crushes all political opposition then that is a Very Bad Thing.

When laws are used to crush dissent.

That sort of thing?
