Are you saying you have no proof either?

I'm not saying that i think it's flat, but I personally can't proof that it isn't either...

I can only reiterate 3rd hand knowledge that would indicate it's at least not flat... But that to me is no actual proof, just a theory that best explains my observations.

I say go for the free thoughts and if the though process along the way makes sense to you there is absolutely nothing wrong with it, no matter how diametrically opposed your conclusions are to mine... Now if you start to tell me I'm wrong with mine, because you're right.
Well you can either # off, or take me on your boat ride and I might reconsider in the light of the eventually found firsthand knowledge trough direct observation...

Clouds lit from the bottom at dawn and dusk to me is a very compelling evidence to deduce that it's not flat.

It's ignorant to think we have it all sussed.
we've been more wrong about the shape of earth than right and it wasn't always a sphere so who really knows...

those that don't learn from history are bound to repeat it.
maybe history will be like look at those retards thinking earth is a sphere... How dumb were they, it's obviously a prism

I think the ship has sailed over the horizon on that notion

Think about the logistics of wiring up the buildings, the people involved, the companies involved, the time it would take...

Then think about the variables as in when and where the planes hit the buildings. Who calculated that the plane that hit lower would collapse the building faster and have it start on the variable of where the planes hit each building?

Everything just spirals out of control to calculate the odds of perfection, or just maybe it just happened...lol

on 911 the hijackers almost missed the South Tower as they came in on a screaming dive Only a last second bank allowed the plane to strike the Southeast corner of Tower 2

Then at the Pentagon the "truthers" tied themselves in knots over the fact that plane stuck the recently renovated section of the Pentagon , home to Navy Finance group

The reason plane hit that section is that hijackers came in too high and had to make a descending 270 deg turn to line up back on the building in order to hit it

The conspiracy types often try to attribute  some hidden motives rather than the simple explanation

I always just thought the flat earth thing was a way to learn debate skills. If you can successfully debate that the earth is flat, you can easily win a debate on a topic that isn't bat sh!t crazy.

Attempting to debate these loons is like the old saying about teaching a pig to sing

It annoys the pig and wastes your time

Most of them suffer from mental or personality defects which renders them immune to logical discourse

I've always said that one of the greatest conspiracies is hiding real and genuine conspiracies inside a huge volume of false conspiracies that are promoted with the primary intention of discrediting the 'conspiracy movement'.

Flat earth is a very good example of those false conspiracies.

I've got to say though that flat earth threads can be a great source of humour - some of the nonsense spouted in them have made me literally piss my pants laughing.

I totaly agree with you.

The THEM! spent years discrediting UFOs.
Very odd that now they say they are real?

Yes, SO, I believe it is exactly as you say; propaganda almost always includes a partial truth. This, as you know from your decades of ATS overlook, is a classic straw man logical fallacy. To do so, a person/entity identifies that which is judged to be "wrong" and then aligns other views/people/entities with the "wrongness. In creating the correlation of 'Flat Earthers' and 'Conspiracy Theorists', the inference is that ALL CTers are moonbats.

Really astute view of yours. I hope a lot of people see this thread, especially now, when the "news" appears to be governed by opinions and editorials.

Back after a busy few days. Here some examples of the either outright ignorance from some of the more currently active "flat earth influencers" out there.

If you horizontally compress the bottom image, you can see the curved horizon:

If it's "mainstream," it must be bad:

A reoccurring theme that science is fake:

Someone missed basic high school science, and the simple notion of momentum:

I wonder why early space suits were called "pressure suits:"

Another reoccurring theme that NASA fakes everything:

And finally... well... so much lack of knowledge:

Unfortunately for you numb nutz NASA is way ahead

From the skin out, the Apollo A7LB spacesuit began with an astronaut-worn liquid-cooling garment, similar to a pair of long-johns with a network of spaghetti-like tubing sewn onto the fabric. Cool water, circulating through the tubing, transferred metabolic heat from the Moon explorer's body to the backpack and then to space.

Next came a comfort and donning improvement layer of lightweight nylon,
followed by a gas-tight pressure bladder of Neoprene-coated nylon or bellows-like molded joints components, a nylon restraint layer to prevent the bladder from ballooning,
a lightweight thermal superinsulation of alternating layers of thin Kapton and glass-fiber cloth, several layers of Mylar and spacer material, and finally, protective outer layers of Teflon-coated glass-fiber Beta cloth.

Operative phrase is

followed by a gas-tight pressure bladder of Neoprene-coated nylon or bellows-like molded joints components, a nylon restraint layer to prevent the bladder from ballooning,

Nylon resraint layer ..........

Thats why its called rocket science
