Unfortunately, you have no understanding of UK politics, yet you have the sheer gall and arrogance to continue to foist your opinions at us.

Labour is not in Government and their predictable anti Semitic views are an irrelevance.

Sorry, but your abhorrence for lefties is well known on here so the fact that you now have to rely on them to support your case is, indeed, relevant.

Fact is, the majority of our democratically elected representatives tossed your argument.

That's democracy for you.

Shame that you don't agree with democracy.

You obviously prefer mob rule.

A terrible argument.

We should label everyone Anti-Semite so we don't have to deal with their Judas arguments.

Wait! We're doing that already?

"And here in the US

US public support for Israel drops; majority backs a ceasefire, Reuters/Ipsos shows

Pretty much refutes your very weak argument"

Does it?

I thought the topic of this thread was about the revolt in the UK Labour party?

What's that got to do with US politics?

Nothing.

No?

I think I do have a good understanding and it's obvious to me that the UK Politics are in a turmoil over Gaza.

It looks very much that a large number of Brits are against the war and I haven't seen any march in favour of it. And no evidence even in the form of an article that says Brits support war and despite of the claims made in this thread and other.

But at the same time

Huge majority oppose UK Government policy and support Israel/Hamas ceasefire

uk.news.yahoo.com...

And here in the US

US public support for Israel drops; majority backs a ceasefire, Reuters/Ipsos shows

www.reuters.com...

It's clearly refutes your argument.

The Labour party is indeed in turmoil over Gaza but no, you have no understanding of UK politics if you cannot understand that the Labour party is not in Government.

It's a minority party.

What is "the UK politics '?

I think you mean "the Labour party"?

You support Socialists now?

Interesting.

US opinions are irrelevant to the thread topic.

Aaaaah yes I see!
That's another great argument!
Labour is anti-semitic...
You may take it a little further and argue the Brits are anti-semitic who oppose the war i.e the majority in your country.

These are self defeating arguments and it's better not to circulate arguments that have been debunked again and again.

Look at what is happening in your country and don't try to use debunked arguments.

You don't need to be a socialist to argue against the war.

The majority in your country do oppose the war and they are not socialists.

Probably best to ignore your repetitive straw man circular arguments?

Might want to look up Labour's recent problems with anti semitism, which you also have no understanding of.

Google "Jeremy Corbyn".

Labour's last leader.

As I am an expert in UK politics (I once ate beans on toast) I can safely say that the UK is not in turmoil.

I think the threat level at the moment is classified as, "Momentarily miffed".

By the way, the topic of your thread is about our Labour Party.

Who are Socialists.

It's more like: "Am I bovvered"?

You should try sausage rolls.

No, that's not Cockney rhyming slang for some on here.

Perish the thought.

I am not interested in Jeremy Corbyn but the fact there is plenty of support for ceasefire in the UK Parliament but mostly among the British people. I haven't seen any evidence so far that shows Brits support the war and its continuation.

You have insinuated that you need to be some sort of a socialist to oppose the war. But that's a self defeating argument and you know it's untrue

It looks very much that a large number of Brits are against the war and I haven't seen any march in favour of war and disaster and no evidence even in the form of an article that says Brits support war and despite of the claims made in this thread and other threads around.

But at the same time

Huge majority oppose UK Government policy and support Israel/Hamas ceasefire

uk.news.yahoo.com...

And again here in the US

www.reuters.com...

A lot of support for ceasefire and the end of the war. Don't tell all these people are socialists...
Clearly, you don't need to be a socialist to oppose the war. It's a debunked argument.

Take a look at the title of the thread first and then read about the two major political parties. Turmoil is just an understatement.

No, I don’t see anyone parading around the streets for the Uyghurs who are being eliminated by the Chinese government, the same government that just had a nice parade of clean swept streets in San Francisco…

I don’t see anyone up in arms about the genocide happening in Africa.

You did t even see this level of bull# when isis was cornering yazidi (Christian) people in Iraq for extermination a few years ago.

If I’m wrong tell me, just seems like it’s a big ole hate the Jews fest to me.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - a cease fire only helps Hamas, the bloodthirsty, Jewish genocidal rulers of Palestine, who continue to say as much.

You want a ceasefire? Glass Hamas - as someone before me has said - war is hell.

Whataboutism I am afraid.
You can make a thread about the Uyghurs if you want and it's a serious issue. But that doesn't nullify the case we are discussing here.

The Labour Party is indeed in a turmoil over Gaza.

'Your' labour party is in a turmoil as it seems with many disagreeing with the leader and the rest who have absuaned from the vote. Given that this party will probably form the next Government....

But at least 56 Labour MPs and 125 altogether are on the right side of History calling for an immediate ceasefire and many of them have criticised Israel for the mass killings of innocent civilians.

At least they are still sane people around and sane MPs. And they are a lot.
