The way things are going, I think I'm genuinely gonna celebrate Festivus this year.
I have a lot of stuff to complain about!

Instead of a tree, I'll just print a cutout of Jerry Stiller and tape it to the wall.

That Red and Green, Santa knows who has been naughty or nice. Guess it says it all with no Christmas for you. Maybe next year?

I've yet to meet a single real person who ever celebrated Kwanzaa. LMAO.
Met a lot of white people who talked about it like a real thing, though!

Your thread is too soft.

Enough is enough. This women needs to be scalped like back in the cowboys and indian days. So this clown gets a public service job and is allowed to become a dictator? So she hersef as in I, me and my states that green and red are ................ bad as in NOT inclusive. So is the American flag next on deck?

Wisconsin is a weird state. My lawer grauated from University of Wicsonsin at Madison. His dad was in politics. His thesis was on the amonunt of sex the Wisonson farmers their had with thier livestock. AKA Beastiality so who knows as possoibly this is where shes headed as Christmas is "evil".

F this sheet and these morally corrupted idiots. I wonder if she will do the same for Kwanzaa as thier colors are the same with the addition of black. Oh, is that her hidden adgenda?

They are black, red and green. Black is for the people, red for their struggle, and green for the future and hope that comes from their struggle. It is based on the colors given by the Honorable Marcus Garvey as national colors for African people throughout the world.Dec 21, 2018

It is a very weird state and depending on where you go within the state feels like a completely different state, if you will.
That goes for political ideology too. In one area a liberal is one thing, in another it means something completely different, and I don’t mean name calling etc, I mean what people really believe it means.

I lived up there for about a year. I left because its weird and the lake is contaminated from WWII war munitions. I am also not into cheese heads. The cheese was great along with the canoe portage down the Wiconson river to the Mississippi.

Badger Contamination

Honestly , this individual basically is conducting a racially motivated hate crime against Christians and masqueraded as a inclusivity thing. So wheres the FBI amd dont give the the free speech crap. Its intimidation at its finest on all days that simply want peace.

I hope she goes to hell as her crusade is totally unnessary. Unless shes pushing the anti-christ agenda which should also send her to hell.

Sorry. Not their jurisdiction.

Unless there is a clause hidden somewhere stating the US Government requires the display of red and green lights in all city halls.

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people

10th Amendment, US Constitution

racially motivated hate crime against Christians

I have read very many creeds. None of them require red and green lights for Christian practice.

Even if your particular sect requires the use of red and green lights, Nobody is saying you can't have them at home!!!!

All those pagans should be upset about losing their winter solstice
It’s the new world and most don’t really care, just as long as we get the circus and bread

I mean really, how was this decision arrived at by that City official? Did some anti-Christian anti-Christmas citizens call them up and complain that the display of that religious holiday via using red and green colored decorations made them angry or what? I don't get it. I don't believe in cancel Christmas because that denies Christians their religious cultural freedoms. PERIOD

ETA:

Well the backlash didn't take long.

A national religious freedom litigation non-profit has sent a demand letter to the City of Wauwatosa, calling its “ban on Christmas holiday symbols,” including the colors red and green, unconstitutional and calling for the “immediate retraction” of the “anti-Christmas… purge.”

It's cancel Christmas time again but this time with colors.

Banning the colors red and green and likely anything else associated with the current post-modern version of Christmas I suspect. Good, none of that is in the true spirit of Christmas which is the celebration of Christ's birth, even though I personally believe the Lord was born in June or thereabouts.

I attended a Saturnalia back in my college days and based on the post by Ohanka, It must have been the last day because I missed out on the orgy, but I did some drinking at least. The Christmas of today is more like a St Nicholas celebration with pagan overtones that is used for retail commercialism to boost sales during a slow time of the year.

All that this will do is force people who like christmas spirit to dislike those limited people who are against Christmas. Further division of society. Christmas is not just about consumerism. Now many people do not like consumerism's impact from Christmas, but they still like the pure Christmas spirit of the Holiday. I like Christmas, the family get togethers, the Christmas giving, but I just would rather see people give gifts people really need instead of junk that they really do not need.

Consumerism pushes people towards buying gifts people do not need, that way those people still have to buy what they actually need. That is the bad part about Christmas. It should not be about supplying people's wants, because buying things a person does not really need means everyone has less money to supply their real needs.

your right it wasn't dec 25th two reasons scholars say it wasn't,

one was shepherds weren't known or unlikly to be out in winter grazing herds.
the other is the pope / catholic church used pagan dates to keep the converts happy using dates for the old seasonal festivals as links to Christianity.

i've also read that some think june not so much as in june but for the season near the end of spring is based off Islamic suggestions, and many think it he was born in january and september.

Explanation: I seem to recall the US Constitution eh ...

The First Amendment provides that Congress make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting its free exercise.

Personal Disclosure: Seems that this government attempt to cancel christmas colors is unconstitutional at face value!

Now having read the article it seems it is not a law but a recommendation instead ... however i see no difference between the two ok.

The government should know better and when to butt out of things and its clear that in this case it has overreached on a petty matter to do with personal religious preference.

It makes me suspicious that there is another bigger hidden agenda at play ... such as cancel christianity etc!
