Everyone can see that the end point isn't Hamas. Hamas is used as a means to do whatever they want i.e to destroy Gaza and kill as many Palestinians as possible.

You speak as if 10,000 (or even more by now) dead people and God knows how many wounded and how many missing is a small number trying to downplay the war crimes committed by Israel. Well...that's expectable from you.

The reality is that the public opinion is against the Israeli Government and there are many politicians and lawyers who are openly asking for sanctions against Israel and for those responsible to be held accountable under the ICC

I don't find this unreasonable.
The EU must have a policy where sanctions are considered for all parties that break International Law. For example Belgium's Deputy PM a few days ago argued that there should be sanctions against Israel.

You see the communication war has been lost by Israel. There is no way any sane person will say yes to this massacre of innocent civilians. From Politicians to Lawyers to the topic of this thread i.e a State Department Official who argues clearly that Israel uses US weapons to massacre civilians.

Does anyone believe those responsible will get away with this?

Don't forget this is a thread about one of the State Department Officials who clearly states US weapons are used to massacre civilians. The chase of Hamas doesn't justify war crimes or crimes against humanity and the communication war has been lost by Israel. Whatever propaganda is thrown the picture is clear and demands the intervention of the ICC just as a number of countries have argued.

1) Complete siege of Gaza
2) Incitement to genocide
3) Collective punishment
4) Forced expulsion
5) Disproportional aerial bombardment of the civilian population
6) Attacks on civilian structures, hospitals, and humanitarian workers

Is not wise to try to defend war crimes, crimes against humanity, and the massacre of Palestinians. The information war has been lost I am afraid and the world has now seen what has been happening in Gaza.

I will repeat again what the State Department Official said

1) it's an uncontroversial fact that US Arms should not be used to Massacre civilians and should not be used to result in massive civilian casualties. US Arms should not be used to kill civilians

2) There is no military solution here and we are providing arms to Israel on a path that has not led to peace, has not led to security, neither for Palestinians nor for Israelis. It is a dead end
