This should only be foranything in NY. This is a case about the State of NY going after Trump and his business dealing in NY. This is part of things going into receivership which is what the order stated. His lawyers are confused because the order is not clear. To go further...this statement is glaring...

During the trial, James’ office won’t need to prove the company’s financial statements are false as they seek to hold him and his sons liable for insurance fraud and false business records. But the trial gives them the opportunity to prove other specific claims brought in the lawsuit, which would allow them to seek a larger penalty from the Trump Organization.

This entire things is about breaking a man and his family and there is no context to. No one should be subject to this. No one.

I just still ask why this was not done when he was donating millions to the left and their causes. Not too hard to figure out.

Then why are you still arguing about values? You know how it works. Closing is the worst thing you can go through even if EVERYTHING is in line.

Just curious. Thanks for the answer..

If the banks are giving out loans at better rates that the Trump Organization's actual assets dictate they should be getting then the banks are losing millions in interest.

and who has the ability to approve or deny those loans?

It seems so.

The judge determined that Mr Trump:

Overvalued Mar-a-Lago by 2,300% in one financial statement
Overvalued his penthouse at Trump Tower in New York by claiming that it was three times its actual size
"Absurdly" argued that calculating the area of the penthouse was subjective, ruling "a discrepancy of this order of magnitude, by a real estate developer sizing up his own living space of decades, can only be considered fraud"

Hmm. A ball club can be work a billion? But a developed golf club /resort in palm beach isn’t worth a billion? Ok.

Wonder how much it would cost to buy property and build a new golf course / club in palm beach….

I guess it be nice to have some clarity. Is it just the Trump house in question. Or was Trump’s appraisal for the house, the resort, and the golf course?

None of those are charges, those are subjective comments from the judge, someone obviously clueless about how valuations are performed and by whom.

Do you want to explain why the judge is handing out orders like that, or do you want to cash in on your fair share of mockery?

If you notice, he's at the stage of emotional dysfunction where Joe Biden was, about 3 years ago. Mostly clear-headed, but saying/doing old-quack stuff.

As I explained in the OP, the borrower can state anything he wishes as the value the property holds for him, but the bank has a fiduciary duty, both to the bank and it's shareholders to value each property using a licensed appraiser. This entire case is sad and pathetic. But since the one judge who seems to be totally on board with the idiot prosecutor who dreamed up this garbage, I'm sure that judge will make some wild lunatic kind of rulings, as he has thus far. The appeal will tell a vastly different story, but I don't doubt that this ends with a bunch of lefties slapping each other on the ass and giggling.

But as I have said and will continue to say, once this road has been traveled, there will be repeat traffic, and newton's third law says it will continue getting bumpier for the other side as that pendulum swings back. It won't be any more right when it's Trump's DOJ targeting democrats, but I'll be sure to be just as vocal about the abuse as y'all are now. K?

so is it your opinion that anyone who does this is committing fraud?

How could I spell this for you... nobody cares about this silly tangent?

Under this New York statute, however, the attorney general did not have to show that there were victims, only that Mr Trump committed ongoing fraud.

Your posts have solidified your position quite well. I am in awe of your intelligence.

By under valuing Trump’s priorities (based on what third party assessments or real estate knowledge), is the judge committing fraud?

Once again, the judge's numbers came from the Palm Beach assessor. And if the Palm Beach assessor was undervaluing the property why did Trump in 2020 argue that it was being overvalued at $26 million?
