I've read the article.. and it's entirely based off the manifesto.
Is this another Jordan Peterson vrs. Zizek moment?
From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs
You? WW1 and leading up to WW2 was arguably because of workers standing up for their rights and colonialist capitalist powers attempting to squash peasant revolts, worker uprisings left massive power vacuums worldwide.
The workers movements from the 1860s - 1930s weren't a joke, in Chicago all the rich industrialists were so scared of unions and workers they threw money at the federal government to build a military barracks between where they lived and the factories.

So, should everyone just not have ideas that lead to no where?
Christians believe Jesus will return one day, people naively believe they'll live forever at some point in their lives.
A philosophy needs to have a sort of end goal, in Marxism the end goal was loosely tied to a future of communism of sorts, marx never really gave an in depth description beyond one saying:
From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs
Which can literally be translated to people just simply holding the door open for you or someone agreeing to be paid for painting your fence.
The final publication was just loose interpretations of Marx and engels works, and even still marx didn't even finish most of his works, he was too drunk arguing in pubs and angry writing for tabloid papers. His works weren't finished until after he died.

I’ll be honest I don’t understand the purpose of this question or why you asked it of me.
But I would guess they wouldn’t start by advocating for and implementing policy based on ideas that are pretty much the polar opposite of Marxism. Seems counter-productive.
Marxism is about class. Not race, gender, LGBTQLMNOP or the myriad other manufactured causes Neoliberals push under the banner of Identity Politics.

Identity Politics is the furthest thing from Marxist social philosophy as possible with the exception of lunacy like Nazism.

Take back power?
Decentralization of power?
Give workers more say in the means of production?
