Why would you start talking about killing cats.

because: "Heaven is now and what you make of it."

That is part of what I've made off it.
plus, I was thinking about your Freedom thread,
and the difference between having or not having money.

Your experience of your hell doesn't depend on what we think of it.

Easy…B!

The world is a horrible place and I’m the Bible, we learn that the God of planet Earth is the devil. So you can’t be surprised when our free will leads us to do horrible things. But this life only has one goal. To find faith and with that faith, to be invited to live eternally in a higher dimension.

The thief on the cross proves to us that a man who becomes Christian even in his last seconds of life, will be welcomed into God’s kingdom as will a man who believed all his life.

Jesus tells us too that faith the size of the mustard seed is all you need to carry with you and you will be saved.

Jesus has the power of grace. We don’t have to understand how he wields it but we know that he does, and with it, he is able to love a man who murdered 100 babies or Adolph Hitler just as much as he loves his own mother. If that person turns to him and accepts his gift of salvation with a sincere heart.

When Jesus is in the marketplace and the woman bleeding from her…parts…touched him, she is healed after bleeding for a decade. He asks, “who touched me!!” She finally answers that she did and apologised saying that she needed to touch him to be healed. He tells her though, it wasn’t he who healed her…it was her faith that healed her.

For it is by GRACE alone thru faith you have been saved. And THAT, not of yourself, is the gift of God.

Mosaic law was impossible. Hundreds of rules upon rules and living sacrifices…nobody could hope for salvation.

But when Jesus came, he replaced the mosaic law with the new covenant. No performances, no rituals, no prayers, no church, simply believe that Christ has chosen you and prepared you a place beside him, and you’re already saved.

So who cares what man B did. It would be faith which saved him. And in the end, it may be that all these characters we are will be like characters in a play who all stand up at the end even if dead or the bad guy, and they all come together and bow but in heaven it will be faith that brings good and evil WORKS and DEEDS and ACTIONS together. It is FAITH which answers the riddle. Not works, not at all. How EASY could Christ make it to move onto our true forms.

You have people that tell a very similar success story but dont belive in God....

To me it seems as if God is just another of those spirits we can connect to and have a beneficial relationship with...

That's why the Bible warns against trying to worship angels and other spirits . A third of God's angels have been kicked out of heaven and sent to earth because they deceived people. The Bible specifically tells us that Satan has the ability to disguise himself as an angel of light, and so do the other third of the angels who chose to betray God and follow Satan instead. It is their mission to drive people away from God and into the arms of the deceivers.

As for your insinuation about my feelings towards Christians, there are mostly good people, and unfortunately for all ideology driven social constructs the assholes are the loudest.

Thats why I stay away from those social constructs.

The problem is, when none of his peers call them out for being idiots and using stupid rhetorics, or worse all fall for the same logical fallacy.

Well i stay away because i don't want to be guilty by association, because some idiot had to use stupid rhetoric.

It should be called out by more on all sides, so here is a medal for you

My point was that you focus the negativity onto Christianity, and not other religions, in your posts.
That was all.
I think it’s logical to assume that you have a problem with Christianity, otherwise you’d have said “religions”.

Person B, They have raped and murdered many people and show no remorse or care for their actions. They do not care for people and doing anything positive or good. But they do believe in God, They love God and read the Bible every single day and go to Church.

Such a person would be a religious fraud and they would not truly love God even if they might claim otherwise, after all: “This is what the love of God means, that we observe his commandments.”—1 JOHN 5:3

These religious frauds are also described as “false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.” The Bible goes on to say: “Their end shall be according to their works.”—2 Corinthians 11:13-15.

So, are posts just disappearing without even the obligatory penalty PM, and shame-box for all to see, where the post used to be ?

Terpene said something about Jesus being 2000 years late, and I responded with something from Bishop Barron, about a group of biblical characters.

Poof, gone. Or, somebody tell me where I lost my mind between threads or something.

So is this accurate ? Nobody showed me where I was confused ….. are mods removing stuff that they don’t like, even if it’s not breaking any rules ?
That would be unfortunate.

You can try checking your posting history, then check Terpene's posting history by clicking the little man icon. Check which threads you were on together. The more recent, the easier it is.

Many years ago, some posts of mine disappeared. A couple of months later a mod got kicked off. It's possible. This is all off topic and discussions of the forum usually get deleted.

The karma mirror is what all beings deserve. Beings who do not follow karma are hypocrites. Do not matter if they call themselves Jesus, God or anything else.

You cannot be divine/righteous at the same time as you are an hypocrite. That is why Christianity is a spiritual deception. An anointed chosen (christos) with logic enabled will easily see thru the deception and understand the hidden test.

Wolf in sheep skin will not get it and believe they are safe by saying "Jesus is my savior". Jesus never existed. Yehoshua was an chosen (christos). But most of the bible is the word of Paul the deceiver. The free ride "Jesus is my savior" is Pauls invention.

I should explain the cat thing a bit more.

Many people have pets as family members.
To those the contrast of joy and grief are more evident.

So it isn't about killing animals. It's about terrible mercy.

I have no memory having said any of what you claim I said...

I think you're confusing it with another thread, and it wasn't me that interacted with you...

Be very sure you are 100% sure about what you claim before you start making a drama and accusing mods of being corrupt.

I do believe in God but don’t really understand certain parts of the Bible and Christianity and this kind of question has always been interesting to me.

I'll try another stab at this.

There is the Old Testament and the New Testament. The New Testament was written starting in the very late 1st thru 3rd Century. New ideas in philosophy and World views had arisen.

These new ideas, mostly Neo-platonism, included ideas like immortality. I'm not sure about Stoicism though, I'll have to look that up. Also, mystery religions promised immortality to certain people after induction.

Christianity is probably a winner in that it survives to this day. I may attribute that to the work of evangelism which took it mainstream, exoteric, available to all.

But in the old days, these ideas hadn't been thought of as available to all. Kings, Pharaohs, Emperors, and such big people were immortalized, not the common folk.

If you read Epic of Gilgamesh, even he, descended from the gods, gave up on immortality.

So the idea of heaven as a possible destination, is sort of new (300 bc-ish)

The promise to Abraham was many descendants, not some personal immortality for himself.

I would have loved more Zoroastrianism and less good vs evil, to be honest. What I liked is that virtue was basically synonymous with 'God's Grace', if your ruler didn't live up to expectations he lost his right to rule.

I wonder if the keeping of the Cults would have been beneficial or it could have led to a Kaste system probably.

The promise to Abraham was many descendants

Your Clan will survive, basically. Yes.
But I mean people are curious what happens after death and with the invention of money in the long ago Lybia I believe family ties started their decline.
So more selfish people asking different questions: But what happens to me?
It is legitimate I think. I don't know how one would want to answer that.
But just recently there was a fellow who got suicided or so because he wanted to explore the afterworld.
A fixation on it is obviously a Darwin Exam one passes or not. lol
I am curious too though. Aren't you?

Not really.

Money. Rise of merchant class. Those might be interesting areas to think about. A few years ago I read someone saying that Islam is for a merchant class, maybe because Mohamad was in that environment. 600s ACE. Different from 100s-400s.

I mean we're overdue actually. Thankfully those with enough God Complex to attempt such a thing aren't the brightest and always copy Jesus instead of doing their own contemporary thing.

Jesus did not come to abolish the law but fulfill it. With Jesus they did not have to walk the straight and narrow by study of law and morals, but they changed and lived like it because of the life he gave them. He made them free and that's the way of freedom; righteouss and peacemaking.

He did though. His main mission was to end Roman rule (the Law) over the Jewish people, he is basically the inventor of antinomianism.

Person A, They are the most purest soul around and super friendly beyond measure. They do charity work and help people and don’t do much wrong against others. But they don’t believe in God and are not religious.

Person B, They have raped and murdered many people and show no remorse or care for their actions. They do not care for people and doing anything positive or good. But they do believe in God, They love God and read the Bible every single day and go to Church.

This probably isn’t a proper realistic scenario and it’s not meant to be. I’d just like to see what other people’s thoughts and opinions are about this. I do believe in God but don’t really understand certain parts of the Bible and Christianity and this kind of question has always been interesting to me.
If person B truly believed in god and the bible why would he not behave as god asked? Isnt he defying god? If person A did what god wanted haphazzerdly wouldnt that be enough for god then?. He would likely get into heaven and find all those good things he did cuz he wanted to, its just god was there to great him and say, see there is a god after all, and I was watching. Nice reward.
