Somebody somewhere is lying about a housing shortage. Since the 1950s there has been a big decline in the US birth rate. Now think about the 1960s and 1970s, there was no housing crisis then, so with even less people (or should I say less Americans) there should be enough housing to suffice. But through design they have got rid of thousands of houses, demolished, creating a shortage. Food is the same as houses if people can't or wont pay the going price they will have to drop the price ir go under. But in housing if there are conglomerates, ie Blackrock etc., that own the houses they would soon see them demolished than lose money on them as the land can be just as valuable as the housing.

It depends on the area. In Portland OR rent is high because the city isn't allowing large rental buildings so it is a supply/demand thing. We also have a lot of people moving up from CA with a lot of equity. There is not enough housing for families in the 80 to 100k income range.

i technically have three jobs and groceries still wipe most of my money. at least this time around, i managed to snag a bag of frozen chicken breasts for cheap and some frozen cappeletti pasta...actually, the most expensive thing i bought today was ice cream from Argentina, but I deserve it because shark week has come to ol Toasty...i still have to get bread though, but im waiting until next week when i get paid again

Foraging is a lost art. I think people today think foraging is below them and they would sooner starve to death than forage. I also think people think foraging is looking for just their own taste ie. look for ,say, rabbits but not think about eating stinging nettles or certain tree leaves.

I was able to visit Jamestown in Virginia. (Bad vibe there btw)
So many people died there because they starved and there was food all around.
So it’s not a new thing for sure.

Where I live you can’t throw a rock and not hit some source of food.
We have so many plants, mushrooms, animals, even insects.

The answer is yes. Just last night I was out for bday with some friends and one of the elder 80 year old who says he doesn't trust nobody and doesnt like biden would vote for biden because trump is a tyrant.

I asked him can you give me an example of why trump was a tyrant, and he paused and couldn't give 1 example.
He just smiled like I was crazy for not believing he wasnt a tyrant.

Then I said , it was Biden that forced people to get an experimental drug or lose their jobs. It was biden who was working with the 3 letter agency and using the gov to silence people online and to manipulate social media for their narratives.

In the end he said he doesn't care and will not vote for trump under any circumstances. I asked him where he gets his news and he wouldnt say but kep saying he doesnt trust the news.

We are pretty fortunate but I do feel for the families struggling right now as I had been there myself in the past.

Appointed his family for positions they should NOT have had
“Joked” about a third term for himself
Tried to ban Tik Tok
Used his hotels for financial gain during his presidency

There’s a lot more of tyrannical things he has done.
Most leaders will be called Tyrants by one side or the other, so it’s not something unusual.

none of those things makes him a tyrant nor does it make it any different than every other elected official before him including biden. How are they all getting paid 200K-450K and come out worth 100's of millions after office. Hint they all use their presidency for financial gains.
