Duh, I’m stupid. Obviously didn’t read it properly when I first seen it. Thanks.

The only way a Ukrainian fighter pilot crashed this plane was if he made it break apart in flight.

Why has no one mentioned the other plane that turned around private planes can be equipped with weapons also .

I wonder if the other plane actually had Prigozhin on it and this plane was crashed on purpose to make it look like he’s dead.

Because it’s not as simple as putting a missile on it. It would require pretty extensive modifications, of the kind that would leave evidence to be found.

What a massive coincidence. I'm sure investigators will find no foul play. It's just another person in a long line of Putin's enemies that has died under mysterious circumstances.

This is unsurprising (assuming the Russian state was behind it which seems plausible) and he was always past his time after his little Wagner expedition inside of Russia. How many countries do you think would forgive the leaders of attempted armed insurrection? He probably would have been captured and given the usual fate of those who lead armed opposition against the state at the time if it was practical.

Seems he was already on shaky ground for his exploits in Bakhmut anyway, where he forced military command to change tactics unnecessarily. It seems they wanted an extended period of attrition of Ukrainian forces defending the region, rather than take to the place.

Yevgeny Prigozhin was buried today in his home town of St Petersburg.

In a statement on Telegram, the Wagner chief's press service said: "The farewell to Yevgeny Viktorovich [Prigozhin] took place in a closed format. Those who wish to say goodbye may visit Porokhovskoye cemetery."

Analyst claims Prigozhin is alive and plotting revenge on Putin

A Russian political analyst has claimed warlord Yevgeny Prigozhin is alive after his body double was killed in last week's plane crash - not the Wagner chief himself.

Sooo, my question is, is this "analyst" baiting the honeypot, or could there be some truth to the claims. They do back my own claims that Prigozhin is still alive. Is this a case of just "what I want to hear"?

Prigozhin is now plotting his revenge, says the political analyst, a former professor at Moscow's prestigious Institute of International Relations [MGIMO], a training school for spies and diplomats.

Ben Browder put the odds initially at 95% Prigozhin is dead, 5% he faked it. But I think that was before the FSB came out and said DNA confirms he's dead.

If Russia turns out to be wrong about Prigozhin being dead, it would be a huge source of embarrassment for them. So once they said they confirmed the DNA, I think the chances he's still alive are quite low, though I wouldn't put them at exactly zero.

OTH...

Claiming that the DNA recovered was that of Prigozhin would be a rather effective way of discrediting the actual Prigozhin as a "fake"....

Should he somehow turn up to rally the remaining Wagner troops against their "enemies in the Kremlin".

Who would the Russians be more likely to believe at this point; Putin, or ("maybe"?)Prigozhin?

And the inscription on the grave "dead or alive" will also disturb the masters of conspiracy theories

not saying it possible that it was a double, but my question is how does he know this? does he have contacts inside wanger, someone was is close to Prigozhin, or contacts in the kremlin.

not only that, true or not is this analyst really so stupid to come out saying this. knowing the track record that people that speak out against or cross ol farty have. unless he in a deep rat hole somewhere and don't plan on showing his face until farty is gone, his life expectancy is gonna be long.

I wondered about that as well. The 'analyst' is either stupid or out of Putin's reach somehow.

Cheers

The Russian IAC has announced that they will not be investigating under international rules "at the moment". The flight was considered a domestic flight, so they aren't required to investigate under Annex 13.

SAO PAULO/MONTREAL, Aug 29 (Reuters) - Russia has informed Brazil's aircraft investigation authority that it will not probe the crash of the Brazilian-made Embraer (EMBR3.SA) jet that killed mercenary boss Yevgeny Prigozhin under international rules "at the moment", the Brazilian agency told Reuters on Tuesday.

Prigozhin, two top lieutenants of his Wagner Group and four bodyguards were among 10 people who died when the Embraer Legacy 600 crashed north of Moscow last week.

So in layman's terms does that mean the Russian investigation will not be carried out to the standards and with the scrutiny that the industry would normally expect or that they simply won't be investigating it at all?

In layman's terms, it probably means they won't be admitting his assassination?

Yes.

They're not going to investigate under accepted international practices, but they don't technically have to. Most likely it means that they're not going to investigate at all considering the Kremlin came out and said "deliberate wrongdoing" is a possible cause. In cases of terrorism or deliberate action bringing it down, most countries turn it over to a criminal investigation.

Prigozhin's last known video has surfaced , filmed from a moving vehicle in mid August Prigozhin had a message for those wondering how he was.

“I’m in Africa. So to those who like to spread rumours about wiping me out, my private life, my income or something like that I can say: everything is fine,”

Everything was fine in Africa , in Russia not so much.

The plot thickens

‌A Russian passport was earlier found showing Krasavin’s picture but in Prigozhin’s name.

On a side note, more things should be built like passports
