I know the circumstances of the case being reopened. The point is that by DOJ policy a step-up in an investigation involving a candidate is not supposed to happen within two months of an election, and even more to the point, public statements aren't supposed to be made about investigations in that time period. Yet Comey did so.

Whereas the Crossfire Hurricane investigation began on July 31, 2016, and I am not clear on when it was publicly disclosed, but I am certain that it wasn't before the election.

Don't know what Obama has to do with any of this, particularly Trump's current legal woes. He and his AG certainly didn't stop Comey from issuing a public statement about the re-opening of the HRC investigation so close to the election, even though it went against DOJ policy.

Dept policy isn't law. Personally, I think they should disclose the truth to the American people, I don't care WHEN it becomes blaring.

The FBI was correct in announcing the Weiner laptop investigation. They were WRONG in covering up the Hunter Biden laptop and lying about it.

See the difference in how this supposed 'policy' is applied. And that is the damn problem with policy. Pass a law that says you can hide the truth during election season.

Don't understand what you're getting at. As for this target letter and possible charges, no they haven't been filed yet. Or are you suggesting something to the effect that Barack Obama, HRC and Joe Biden have gotten together and already decided what charges are to be filed?

Didn't say policy was law, but policy is policy, and not following policy suggests having a double standard and perhaps a political agenda. Comey influenced the election by breaking policy. You asked what I remembered of the event and I told, along with my analysis of it.

Policy in the executive is set by the head of the executive. The POTUS. It can clearly be changed by the next POTUS via an executive order. THAT is the difference between the dems being able to interfere with an election now, and when Obama was in. The FBI under Trump apparently set their own policy not to interfere.

I don't really believe there is a policy. I think there is an excuse. And a flim-flam.

No policy in the world can stop that sort of truth from leaking out. Comey had to deal with it and he did so very badly.

But it IS "Bad Judgement" when the United States Attorney General tells protestors to spill the blood of Trump supporters in the streets, as President Obama's Attorney General did, after Trump beat Hillary Clinton!

He most certainly did have a choice. He didn't have to make the public announcement that the investigation was being reopened less than a month before the election.

Huma wasn't charged for the same reason no one else was charged in that case. The FBI/DOJ didn't believe anyone involved had intentionally done so, so no one was charged with a crime, although disciplinary actions were taken against some persons in the State Department. As I have already discussed the matter and provided a news link in one of these related threads, I'm not going to waste my time doing so again. Google the matter yourself or look for my post on the subject if you're really that interested.

Also as far as I know, Huma, HRC and others didn't lie to the FBI or withhold the emails in question from the FBI. In other words they didn't obstruct justice or in any other way hinder the investigation.

Your claim about this video is an outright lie, the most egregious and despicable one I have yet seen from you. Loretta Lynch was not talking about spilling other people's blood, she was talking about people who have campaigned for civil and political rights before and the sacrifices they made. Clearly she is talking about documented events in the history of the Civil Rights Movement.

No, policies in the various departments are set by their department heads and staff, not by POTUS.
