Did you know that in the original Cinderella, the stepsisters, each at their turn with the glass slipper, cut of their heels and toes off to make the glass slipper fit. The blood trail, on their way to castle, caused the birds to sing a warning to the prince once, and dead cow's head, hung on the town's archway warned him of the deceit the second time.

Thankfully, the film did break even. The Little Mermaid needed at least $500 million to be considered a success, and as of now, the film currently sits at $523.8 at the box office. The only question is how far it will go.

The original version will be considered inappropriate, racist, sexist, transphobic. We still don't know if any of the dwarfs is trans.

And mostly outdated for todays world.

Since they are targeted mostly at young girls — they definitely need to be updated and progressed.
