Are you saying you never saw a doctor about your sleep paralysis? Because the newer studies say the condition points to social anxiety, panic disorder and disrupted sleep patterns and other disorders. Anyway, this would have been the first thing I would eliminate from these paranormal investigations.

Correct I never saw a doctor on same. I also didn't have SP my entire life nor in every home I ever lived. Evil neighbors or loved ones can channel the demons in SP.

I currently live in a neighborhood of $1 million dollar homes. Most are one percenters whom believe they are of privilege's. Both adjacent neighbors are pure evil. My contractors said so as they see what I see. Father Morey blurted out child trafficking when I told him the story back in 2021. I finally made my referral to the FBI and DEA in October 2021. Since June 16, 2023 the same neighbor is now becoming aggressive again. I have an open Police Case. It also appear that his lieutenant several doors away died on or about that day. Same day that I approximately began hearing noises in the home.

Oh, the front door lock closing by itself was witnessed by all three of us.

My living room had been where they kept the horse carriage back in the day all they had done was add a porch to the front of this property really , I had a roaring fire going and lights burning everywhere in this narrow sitting room I was lying belly down on the floor watching the television when I got a weird feeling and turned round to see a little lady with a black dress and a white collar but behind her was a big man with a dickens style tall hat , just as i did the dog and cat were on the chesterfield seats either side of this stone arch both instantly woke up and fled , that was the trigger for the cat it never would enter the house again it went totally ferral after that living off rabbits in the garden , I did try and get it back in a few times but to no avail , it would go crazy to get back out .

After watching a movie long ago called the entity and reading one of the scientists involved on its comments about going into the project as a unbeliever and coming out convinced there was something there .

We have no idea what is under our feet most times and what may be attracted to us our eyes and senses do not pick up on

All I am saying is that I would look for a logical explanation first and I hope the paranormal group you contacted will help you with your camera needs. Why not ask them to drop by to have a look at the lock?

It stands to reason that your stress level with the neighbors must be very high, which may be a factor, but hey, just ignore all that and 'evil' spirits.

Correct as in many self proclaimed experts here. especially the PhD types with an axe to grind to sell their books, science or whatever.

IMO they do more harm to the general population than good.

I have been in the CIA "watcher" program for decades and am now retired. I see things that an average person doesn't even pay attention to. I have been on the front page of the AP, WSJ and I appeared on CNN.

Most if not all of me has been wiped from the internet. I still have my evidence box of the papers and CNN video.

I want that mutt next door to go into the big house. Nature will take its course from there. My work here is done and we are moving

I had a one year period where I experienced sleep paralysis every single night-to the point I was afraid to go to sleep.
I had no idea what it was at the time and, like you, thought demons were after me. It wasn't until decades later I learned of the scientific research on the syndrome.

The whole time I was experiencing these events was a very troubled time in my life, and I can't honestly say I didn't create my own reality somewhere in my subconscious mind.

I respect your opinions on the subject and enjoy reading about them, as I also held pretty much the same at one time. I'm always open to new ideas and change, thus our differing views-which is usually good for discussion purposes.

@ TDDA- Makes complete sense to me. The only thing I would add is there are people who use this force/conduit without being aware that's what they're tapping into.

I'm not sure what exactly sleep paralysis would be for me, yes, sometimes I seem half awake and also feel paralyzed but go right back to sleep. And by the way it's not me, per se, that is giving answers to the science behind SP, it's the doctors who study people with SP, so don't confuse the two sources.

If I were in your position, I'd ask the paranormal investigators to determine if it could be paranormal happenings along with perhaps a non-pathological alteration in waking experience, i.e., an individual’s state of “ease” becomes notably imbalanced or disrupted. Studies suggest that anomalous experiences attributed to ghosts or poltergeists are often idioms of distress or broader disease. Then throw in the problem with the neighbors and the religious aspect with that too and I'd like to learn what the investigators would determine in your case.

But I did not start my part of the discussion on SP, I was commenting specifically on the noises and door lock and how the catholic faith does not do paranormal. As for the potential physical manifestations my comments were to look for a logical explanation first and to do that a lock smith would be my go to person.

I chased it down for four several years as this subject is still relatively unknown. I never knew what I had was called Sleep Paralysis. That was the result of ATS via my PM with SLED735 beginning December 2018.

Then in October 2022 I learned that the 7' faceless hooded thing was called "the Guardian of the Threshold" by speaking with Dr. Brooks.

On this one I wont trust the science. I read much on science when I first found out that what I have is called Sleep Paralysis. Most articles on it are all the same regurgitated carp REM blah blah blah.

Ok, for me to trust the science on Sleep Paralysis I would like just one PhD conduct a DNA study on a group of at lease 200 SP experiencers and determine if exists a common DNA trait.

Actually from the source link I provided above they do mention that SP runs in family genes.

All I am saying is that a thorough investigation requires one to bring in the paranormal researchers too and to think and deduce like Sherlock Holmes. At least, that is how I would tackle something like you are experiencing.

When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?

I would most definitely set up security cameras, they are so cheap now that if you set up like 4 you could cover a good deal of your house. First, it would be cool to see what is going on while you sleep, and second, to validate it's not just in your mind. The door bolt part helps, but I would really work to validate that it is an external event in your house. It sounds like you live alone so you do not have the external validation of others living with you.

My neighbor who was in banking came over and told me he had weird stuff going on in his house. His wife who was from Nicaragua 25 years his junior moved in and almost the first day all this stuff started. He did have a lot of stuff from his mother that passed, so who knows what started it all off, but after he moved away the next person had nothing, and the next couple also had nothing. What he experienced was loud walking upstairs and on the stairs with only him in the house. All the kitchen cupboards, drawers, etc. would be open downstairs on some mornings, and a radio and a TV would turn on all by themselves in the middle of the night. I also told him to setup cameras, but he didn't.

I would move. You need to feel happy and relaxed in your home space. I would have taped over the dead bolt on the door when the painters were working. You will probably make a profit from your rehab repairs to sell the home. Save your receipts for taxes.

I have mentioned it a few times over the years with other members here that had similar experiences, it really is something you need to see to believe back then I thought I was loosing it big time and put it down to me smoking a couple of joints a week while walking the dog on the beech .

I have seen this quite a few times in my life, my wife has too…. Both of us were catholic in our younger years(until we read the Bible and found what the church really was)
When my wife was 8, she used to visit with her grandma after she died. She used to climb up into her lap and talk to her… this happened for several months during the 1st year after she died. My wife wasn’t the only one she appears to, her 10y/o cousin also was present during many of these “visits” and while I heard this story when they were in their 20’s, she corroborated the story only the cousin always wondered why the “grandma” stopped coming. Well, that part of the story only happened to my wife. On the last visit the thing pretending to be her grandma said something out of character… and my wife being the young girl she was at the time, called “it” out on it and shouted “your not my grandma”…. The thing pretending to be her tried several times to reaffirm she was… but my wife would not have any of it and raised her voice and repeated herself saying “you’re not my grandma”… at this point “it” realized the gig was up, and “it” got a wicked smile on its face, changed into a dark shadow and flew out of the room.

This is only one of numerous stories that confirm what you’re dealing with.

You were on the right track when you prayed to God directly as HE is the only one who can remove the demons. You did this once and they left you alone for a few years.

The catholic priest nor the praying the rosary will do you any good… praying to a false god where you pray 10 times to Mary for every time you pray to God is just gonna stoke his anger.
Remember the 1st commandment is to not have other Gods…. Mary is dead and awaiting the 2nd coming like everyone else. The Vatican works on the same side as the demons (why does no one bother to read 2thessalonians chapter 2 and see what Paul told them when he was with them… hint- Paul warned when the Roman Empire fell the man of sin would take his seat in the church until he is destroyed at the 2nd coming… the man of sin is the office of the pope.) so the Vatican witch doctor is just gonna use pagan voodoo to “make the demons go away” and it isn’t gonna work.

After so many years of seeing all strange events like this being attributed to paranormal activity I came to the conclusion there's nothing 'paranormal' about them; it's just a part of our reality we don't understand yet.

The distant voices when I'm trying to fall asleep has been a big one lately, along with an occasional sensation of someone sitting down on the bed, or a very brief touch. I tend to chock it up to my sleepy mind playing the imagination game.

After so many years of seeing all strange events like this being attributed to paranormal activity I came to the conclusion there's nothing 'paranormal' about them; it's just a part of our reality we don't understand yet.

Perhaps our subconscious mind even plays a part in creating unusual activity. Perhaps it's untapped mental power we don't realize we possess being released without our awareness-like a pressure valve or something.

Yogi's were reported to levitate; monks were said to walk on water and through walls. The 'spiritually adept' in so much of the worlds' legends and lore were said to have the powers to do what we now attribute to the paranormal.

Did we lose our ancestorial memory at some point in history? Or, maybe we're all just demon possessed.

I would suggest putting yourself in a "protective light" before attempting to engage in any type of investigative state when it comes to this.

Catholic church only listens to noises made from little boys, so probably no help from them.

Are you using diphenhydramine to sleep, or any other medications? Some medications, even otc, can and will lead to auditory and visual hallucinations, and they are extremely convincing when you experience them. You can even have them as soon as you are awakened, or if you wake up randomly due to poor sleep, poor sleep hygiene or otherwise.

I remain very skeptical that you are experiencing a "spirit" or demon, or whatever else. If there is an afterlife, which is a big if, there's probably or hopefully better things to do than play in Sams litter box, and lock painters out of a door.
