Huh, ok. So you're going with, they requested classified marked docs. He for 5 months until the subpoena never once tells his attorneys or anyone that he declassified them. But it's the governments fault they didn't know? And weirdly enough he still isn't claiming this in court.

Interestingly no one asked.
“Investigators” didn’t simply ask.
Just prosecute
As is the style of their weaponization.

It’s gross

I didn't know you were one of the investigators. I mean how else could you know what they did or didn't ask?

By the way, Trump's lawyers were given an opportunity in court to prove Trump had declassified these documents. They instead went crying to Judge Cannon that if they were required to answer that question it would hurt their case.

Had they simply asked none of this would have gone on.

You, questioning legal strategy, is delish.
You have expertise in this area newbie?
Please by all means school us on your legal credentials.
I must have missed that in your introduction post?

What President Trump's lawyers say to judges in closed session is secret.

You may be getting your news from CNN...who uses a lot of those people who wish to remain anonymous, so they can never be exposed as being wrong most of the time.

Interesting how these new accounts pop up and always know so much?
Perhaps they are on the inside?

Trump turned over Fifteen Boxes to NARA in January 2022. Those boxes contained classified documents mixed in with unclassified documents. That is what prompted NARA to reach out to the DOJ.

Between February and June, NARA, the DOJ were all in contact. At no point during that period did Trump's team claim that the classified documents were actually declassified. Don't you think that would have been the first thing said when Trump was notified that he was being investigated for potentially mishandling classified material?

Instead, Trump's team continued to negotiate as if these documents were classified. Because they were.

So Trump lawyers are going to tell the judge something but not claim it in their filings and rebuttals? It would have to be in the filing to be considered as a reason you'd should not go foward with the case. That is what the court reads before they ever show up to court. You think they should not put it in a filing, wait until court and then tell the judge? Or send secret messages to the judge beforehand? He would rip them a new one for not stating their defense in their filing.

They are not very well read up on Presidents and classification declassification authority.

And, they do not realize this discussion has been occurring on ATS ever since the FBI illegally raided President Trump's home last August.

We've posted the president's declassification order in several threads.

Interesting
So you admit he was cooperating.
Interesting you also admit the collusion with the doj.

Interesting the doj never asked.

How American.

So no legal expertise?
Sadly, as most throw away accounts, I’m not surprised.

They are not very well read up on Presidents and classification declassification authority.

They don’t understand the 4th amendment.
They lied to get the warrant.

I hope it goes to a trial.
Watching the machine eat itself will be glorious.

Clearly he was not cooperating as the DOJ required a subpoena, and eventually a search warrant to get any further documents than what was provided to NARA in January.

How in the F"k do ANY of you know what Trumps lawyers think or are doing? Seriously. ALL Of this is about media time and making him look guilty. Not being guilty...looking guilty. This way the media can lead with the following. This is how scared they are all of him and he could give two #s. He is not DC and never was and never will be. He is the last free president we may ever have.

"A former president who has been impeached twice, convicted of sexual misconduct and sent followers to prison because of his lead on January 6th...."

That is all any of this is meanwhile our country is going into the #ter....literally.

As a citizen we should ALL be worried about how leaks occur from Grand Juries, how DC elite are protected and how a former president is being railroaded. This is not even about Trump. I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone who was a past president. Any of them and they ALL did things they could have gotten in trouble for.

We are the United Socialist States of America.

So you just lied?

Which is it?
Make up your mind.

Will know more about this little spat in the near future I believe.

Of greater importance is the current US president accepting bribes in order to affect policy decisions.

And President Barack Obama putting in motion a counterintelligence operation to trap and frame a sitting president Trump.

Those two elephants in the room are huge.

How is turning over a fraction of the documents you are bound by law to turn over to the government cooperating?

If I owe you $100, I give you $10, and then proceed to drag my feet on giving you the other $90 and doing everything I can to stall, would you consider me as being cooperative?

You wouldn't want anyone that's potentially illegally in possession of classified material to be investigated to determine whether they have any right to possess those documents and whether or not they divulged classified material to non-authorized parties?

You also wouldn't want anyone investigated for obstruction of justice if they attempted to hide those classified documents after being subpoenaed to turn them over?

Try that with your mortgage company and let us know how that "cooperating" goes. Just keep asking for extensions to provide the remainder of your payment.

You conflating the two highlights your understanding of this.
Thanks for that.
