Again its illegal or its not, there is no if and or maybe.

We have had politicians at all levels go to prison why not a president if he broke the law.

But that requires evidence and the defense would get discovery and that is why he will not see a prison.

Because they all have similar skeletons in the closet.

Finally... you should be up in arms over the pay to play scheme being run by the current presidents family... shame more people cant see both sides.

If a crime was convicted indict put them on trial and if convicted jail, I dont care what their party affiliation is but after 6+ years of investigations by "the best law enforcement" agencies on the planet its time to put up or shut up.

Our Constitution establishes that a person is innocent until proven guilty.

It also establishes our grand jury system.

If Trump wasn't being indicted through a grand jury you'd be out here crying that his civil rights were being trampled.

There's a process and procedure in place and it is currently being followed.

Yet, these are all GOP and people who work closely with him. When it comes down to it, they are not going to lie and go to jail for him. His lawyers had confidentiality pierced by the courts because of evidence of a crime. You really think they will continue to cover for him?

So the grand jury for the documents case has been on hiatus for the past few weeks. It was revealed last night they are scheduled to reconvene this week.

That means Smith is either ready to push for an indictment or he's been working on getting a witness lined up and they're ready to testify.

Either way it should be an interesting week for updates.

Fun fact: Mark Meadows has yet to be subpoenaed to appear before the grand jury.

Other fun fact: The impetus for the search warrant was the DOJ receiving reliable information that Trump didn't comply with his subpoena.

I know there were reports months ago supposedly saying that the team was warning to no longer include Meadows in certain discussions. Then don't forget Meadows has his own few issues, voting from a residence he never lived in, and since they are delving into all of Trumps various "funds", Meadows got over a million from the "Election Defense Fund", which come to find out was never spent on any election defense. And he's been silent for a very long time which is unusual. When it comes down to it people will save their own skin. Not like Trump can pardon him and if he has to wait until a possibility of the next election, I'm thinking the rumor of him flipping is accurate.

Because the President of the United States can declassify documents by waving his hand over them, it's hard to prove that a US president has classified documents at home.. or anywhere else.

Biden though, is in big trouble, if special counsel Hur wants to bring charges.

Actually all the legal pundits, attorneys and apparently Trump on audio lamenting he couldn't share the Iran docs as they were still classified when he was out of office disagree with you. However obstructing the government from obtaining government docs once he was no longer President, and the government is looking at 18 USC 793 in which information relating to the national defense" that "could be used to the injury of the United States or to the advantage of any foreign nation." Regardless of classification.
