TSA is about to demand Real ID for most travel, and 32% of Americans don’t even know how to get one

Starting May 7, 2025, passengers will be required to have a Real ID in order to fly in the United States. The problem? Many Americans have no clue how to obtain one.

What is a Real ID?

Real ID is a government-issued identification card or driver’s license that meets enhanced security standards established by the Real ID Act, required for domestic air travel and access to federal facilities. A Real ID can be identified by a gold star in the upper right-hand corner of a driver’s license, driver’s permit, or identification card. Beginning May 7, 2025, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) can only accept a driver’s license or identification card that meets these standards.

Transportation Security Administration seeks comments on proposed regulation regarding mobile driver’s licences and REAL ID-compliant identification

This proposed rule would allow for continued use of mDLs at participating TSA checkpoints after May 7, 2025, when passengers will be required to show REAL ID-compliant identification.

An mDL is a digital representation of a state-issued physical driver’s license that is typically installed through an application on the user’s smartphone and stored in its digital wallet, similar to how many users currently store their physical credit cards on their smartphones. The information from the digital wallet is read after the smartphone is tapped against a reader to establish the validity of the mDL.

TSA fully supports the integration of digital identity technology, including mobile driver’s licenses, as part of our transportation security framework,” said TSA Administrator David Pekoske.

“This incremental approach balances security and passenger experience, encourages digital identity innovation and investment and ensures that we honour the intent of the REAL ID Act. This rule-making will establish a path for states to continue partnering with industry in developing secure digital identity for use at TSA checkpoints.”

Eurostar officially launches SmartCheck biometric gates

Effective July 18th, 2023, the Eurostar “SmartCheck” biometric gates utilizing iProov technology have officially launched for passengers traveling through at London’s St Pancras International Station on premium rail plans, after being in trials since the end of 2021.

The contactless pre-departure gate system eliminates the need for manual passport checks as travelers exit the UK.

Passengers use a phone app to scan their IDs and verify their face using their mobile device, which can be done at home. They then enter designated SmartCheck check-in lanes equipped with iPads, according to The Next Web, and provide a face-scan. Afterwards, travelers need to go through baggage inspection and a passport check through French border control.

In a company statement, Andrew Bud, founder and CEO of iProov, said that the rollout of the technology “demonstrates how facial biometric technology can be used to manage border control in a smarter and more efficient way, to benefit both organizations and passengers at scale,” The biometric corridor is “saving precious time and space at the border, streamlining the boarding process to one that’s far faster, more convenient, less crowded and stressful, yet even more secure,” he says.

The trial will be reviewed and analyzed in autumn before expanding before Eurostar considers extending it to regular passengers, other stations, and border control partners.

Dubai airport to introduce single biometric system for flight check-in, immigration, boarding

Dubai is working on a project whereby a single biometric will be used for check-in, immigration and boarding the aircraft to further facilitate passenger clearance.

While speaking during a press conference on Tuesday, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) officials said Dubai International Airport would fully deploy biometric technology to identify individuals based on their unique physical or behavioural characteristics in the future.

In February 2021, Khaleej Times was given a behind-the-scenes tour of the new contactless smart travel system that enabled passengers to travel without using their identification papers. Major General Obaid said this new technology will be rolled out “very soon.”

Major General Obaid was speaking on the sidelines of a press conference to announce the upcoming International Conference on Policymaking: The Future of Ports. Slated to commence on September 19, the two-day event will take place at Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai, with participants from Asia, Europe, the US and UAE taking part in the forum.

More than 42 million passengers, including transit, used airports and immigration borders, and 37 per cent of them were using smart gates during the January-June period.

“Our target is to achieve 80 per cent of people using smart gates and other technologies. We hope to achieve this target in a couple of years. We believe Dubai airport will completely deploy biometric technology,” said Major General Talal.

Currently, there are 120 smart gates operational at Dubai International, and the aim is to reach 150 by the end of this year or early next year, he added.

US govt monitors trusted travelers even as it removes hurdles with biometric programs

On the same day that the CBP announced a significant upgrade in convenience for its Global Entry program in a Midwest airport, news site Newsweek was pointing out the extent of monitoring that comes with membership.

The government’s Global Entry program provides pre-approved members expedited security clearance on return travel to the United States. Applicants pay $100 to be vetted and biometrically scanned. Those deemed low risk can become members.

Some members, perhaps most, assume that the investigation into their lives ends after approval, but Newsweek has found that it does not.

In fact, some level of scrutiny of Global Entry members continues every 24 hours, according to Newsweek’s reporting, regardless if they are flying or even booked on a flight.

It makes sense to do it because people’s behaviors and associations can change daily. But as with other public and private biometric products and programs, CBP officials don’t emphasize this point with people. Newsweek says details are in the program’s fine print.

Subsequent monitoring includes database searches on a member’s name. The government is looking for ongoing investigations by any level of government law enforcement.

The CBP is more demonstrative with expansions and upgrades of biometric ID programs for travelers.

Last week, the agency said upgraded Global Entry capabilities were part of the opening of Kansas City International Airport’s new terminal.

Members using that terminal do not need paper ticket receipts. Biometrics and “mobile solutions” make tickets moot, according to a statement issued by LaFonda D. Sutton-Burke, director of field operations in Chicago.

Global Entry Begins Touchless, Receipt-less Processing at MCI

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is pleased to announce that with the opening of the new airport terminal at the Kansas City International Airport (MCI), CBP has upgraded its Global Entry processing technology and eliminated the need for paper receipts for Global Entry members. While ensuring the safety and security of personal information, the upgraded process provides a better streamlined, and touchless experience for Global Entry members traveling internationally while protecting the privacy of all travelers.

Receiptless processing technology utilizes facial biometrics and mobile solutions to further secure and streamline the traveler experience by confirming traveler identity and Global Entry eligibility without producing a paper receipt. The new processing technology offers significant benefits including increased accessibility and performance.

Hum???

I wondered if they (the Deep State) was going to try a Zombie Apocalypse stunt.
From:
New York Post

The Kensington neighborhood in northeast Philadelphia, which has become notorious for its open-air drug market, is seen crowded with hordes of drug-addled people — many of them sprawled barefoot on the filthy ground, or slumped over in the video posted on TikTok by thebizzleeffect.

Some of the addicts appear to have no control over their bodies as they are seen hunched over and struggling to remain on their feet.

Others are seen passed out on random stoops, or in one of the many makeshift homeless encampments dotting the crime-ridden neighborhood.

Soon Ivermectin will be to blame. Watch and see.

The alarming new video highlights Democrat-controlled Philadelphia’s apparent failure to get a handle on the rising use of the drug xylazine, better known as “tranq” — a powerful horse and cattle sedative used to enhance the effects of heroin, coc aine and fentanyl.

The wording will be changed to Horse Drug, then Ivermectin will be assumed, finally the media will just refer to both Xyazine and Ivermectin as the Horse drug kids are hopping on.

Why do I think that there is a subplot by the Deep State? Read this part of the article,

Most of Kensington’s zombie-like inhabitants do not have tents and sleep directly on the ground amid clumps of refuse, with their meager possessions stuffed into plastic bags, shopping carts, backpacks or laundry baskets.

and,

People who inject drug mixtures laced with “tranq” also can develop gaping wounds, including necrosis — the rotting of flesh — that may lead to amputation, according to the Drug Enforcement Administration.

So, first we have people mentally shutting off (Robo-Mitch, Biden the Elder, and Feinstein), then we will have drugged out people burning out their brains, and finally the excuse for these people will be that they are just victims of horse sedatives.

Well I guess Steven King must have wrote the Deep States new play book, that's all I got to say.

China preparing for war with US, Air Force secretary says

Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall on Monday warned that China was building up its military to prepare for a potential war with the U.S., and he said America must optimize its forces to counter the rising threat.

Speaking at the Air and Space Forces Association Warfighter Symposium at National Harbor, Md., Kendall said the U.S. must be ready for a “kind of war we have no modern experience with,” though he stressed “war is not inevitable.”

Our job is to deter that war and to be ready to win if it occurs,” Kendall said. “We’re all talking about the fact that the Air and Space Forces must change, or we could fail to prevent and might even lose a war.”

Kendall said it was vital to prepare for war because China is developing its forces at a rapid pace and has created two new military branches: a force designed to counter aircraft carriers, airfields and other critical assets, and a strategic support service that works to achieve information dominance in the space and cyber domains.

China, Russia will use cyber to sow chaos if war starts, Pentagon says

China and Russia are prepared to unleash a flurry of cyberattacks on U.S. critical infrastructure and defense networks should war breakout, according to a Pentagon strategy unveiled this week.

Such tactics, meant to sow chaos, divert precious resources and paralyze military mobilization, were observed in Eastern Europe during Russia’s invasion of neighboring Ukraine, a conflict that colors the Pentagon’s new 2023 Cyber Strategy. An unclassified summary of the document was made public Sept. 12.

The United States is challenged by malicious cyber actors who seek to exploit our technological vulnerabilities and undermine our military’s competitive edge,” its introduction reads. “They target our critical infrastructure and endanger the American people. Defending against and defeating these cyber threats is a Department of Defense imperative.”

Russia’s mobilization plans point to mass conscription of up to 700,000 reservists — General Staff

A massive forced mobilization of the population in Russia and the Russian-occupied parts of Ukraine will begin in the near future due to Russia's heavy losses at the front, the Ukrainian military’s General Staff said in its morning report on Sept. 11.

The Kremlin wants to mobilize from 400,000 to 700,000 people, as well as another 40,000 people from the Chechen Republic.

I wonder if this had something to do with it?
From: Space Weather

An unexpected CME hit Earth's magnetic field on Sept. 12th (1237 UT), sparking a G2-class (Moderate) geomagnetic storm. The storm is subsiding now, but it is not finished. Global magnetometers are still registering off-and-on G1-class (Minor) activity. This means Arctic sky watchers should be alert for auroras after nightfall.

While this event did take places hours ago, the effects on the clocks on-board the satellites might have taken time to shut off for resetting.

Also just noticed that an object is going to pass near the Earth at a distance of half a LD (distance of the Earth and the Moon).

From: MSN News

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy will confront a fractured caucus on Wednesday, with his role as the top Republican in Congress under threat from the far right, despite giving hardline conservatives the impeachment inquiry they wanted.

McCarthy conceded to weeks of pressure from hardliners and allies of former President Donald Trump by launching a formal probe of Democratic President Joe Biden. The move sidestepped as many as 20 House of Representatives Republicans opposed to the action by avoiding a floor vote that would likely have failed.

Wasn't this weakness of action the reason House GOP members didn't want McCarthy as Speaker? Well, it looks like that he's either going to allow the impeachment to take place or ignore the findings of these committees looking into the facts around Biden. I guess we'll find out on Thor's Day.

Will impeachment hearings put the investigation into Biden crimes on the back burner? I expect it will take them out of the spotlight at the very least.

Well, this is always the possibility. If Biden is impeached, then nobody is going to care about the crimes other than the ones he got impeached over. Any other sitting members of Congress will get off scot-free by just putting it all off as a "Biden Crime" and not theirs.

Hell, if the right wants Biden gone badly enough, they might get people like Schumer, Raskin, and others like Romney to vote for Biden to be removed from office just to protect themselves.

I personally believe both parties work in unison, and if one goes down (without unanimous consensus) they all go down-or at least the vast majority.

Trust the plan....Biden has become the sacrificial lamb. Remember Obama saying "Joe, you don't have to do this" before he announced his candicy?

And today on "The Threats Keep Coming".
From: New York Post

President Biden’s White House is planning to send a letter to some of the country’s most prominent news organizations — including CNN, the New York Times and Fox News — urging them to “ramp up their scrutiny” of House Republicans “for opening an impeachment inquiry based on lies.”

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) on Tuesday ordered an impeachment inquiry into the president’s alleged involvement in his son Hunter Biden’s foreign business deals.

“Through our investigations, we have found that President Biden did lie to the American people about his own knowledge of his family’s foreign business dealings,” the speaker charged, claiming that “these allegations paint a picture of a culture of corruption.”

In a draft letter to news executives obtained by CNN Tuesday, Ian Sams, a spokesperson for the White House Counsel’s Office, said the inquiry has no supporting evidence, which “should set off alarm bells for news organizations.”

Now I don't want to play the "But Trump" game, but I do want to remind people that Joe Biden has a habit of threats and actual retaliation against those that bring evidence to the table that paints the Bidens in a bad light.

I wonder how many more News agencies will be barred from the White House press conferces if these media types actually report the findings that we've all known for years. Q-4686 indeed.
