Good luck getting them to answer that or any other legitimate question.
This event was a complete farce.

This should have been reported a long time ago...

I think you should look into why women and girls do not report sexual assault as quickly as you'd like. If you're honest with yourself you'd understand their reluctance.

Did you see how the women who reported Clinton were mocked? Was that cool? You're doing it now.

That's why I said "even in 2016". That's when they were suddenly coming out of the woodwork and everybody was getting century old assault accusations filed against them. Why not then? Timing wasn't right?

E. Carroll did speak out in 2016 and what did Trump do? He defamed her. Trump is his own worst enemy.

Plenty of women made allegations against Trump then and they were ignored. It's not my place to question her rationale for not going public when you wanted her to.

Did you really expect Trump to get a fair trial in New York City?

If the jury was so unfair, why didn't they hang him out on the rape charge? Looks like they actually took the time to differentiate what they thought he did versus what was alleged.

You don't find it odd that the rape couldn't be proven, but some sort of sexual assault could be?

Sounds like the jury went with hearsay over proof.

No, split decisions are not uncommon.

Sounds like the jury went with hearsay over proof.

Did they? I guess you watched the trial and have specifics.

Sexual abuse within the legal realm is very complicated, nevertheless, it was proven or believed that he did sexually abuse her in some way. That offence usually includes prison time.

Bullhorse. She spoke out the year before the 2020 election (imagine that) and it didn't catch traction because there were enough things floating around about Trump that the left thought they could get him on. Now she speaks out against him a year before the 2024 election when the left doesn't have anything they can currently get him on, imagine that. I guess you think it's all a coincidence.

Indeed it was. Too timely with everything going on with Biden and nothing going on with Trump.

"Dear Annie nag"?

Sounds like you have about as much respect for women as your Boy.

I don't respect men or women like Carroll. While you're preaching about respect for women from your soapbox, tell me how you feel about Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Greene. Come on, let's hear all about your respect for women.

Whataboutisms.

Not the subject.

Let's see how the Appeal works out. When it doesn't you can go on about how unfair it all is.

You don't have to question her rationale, most of us already know why she waited. It's as timely as Christine Blasey Ford's accusations against Brett Kavanaugh.

Ask these same people about the “extension” of the statute of limitations and it’s legality.
The entire event was bull crap.
People who actually understand justice won’t touch this case with a 50” pole.
Interesting to see who here is cheering this.

Yes, it's more difficult to find for rape than these lesser allegations.

Nothing odd about that.

You guys routinely extend statutes of limitations in the Uk?
Cause that is justice, right solicitor?

Wow, the willful ignorance being displayed here is sickening. Guessing non of you are women. Pretty obvious. Let me throw these out there.....she deserved it......she dressed like she wanted it......2 no's mean a yes.....she didn't scream for help so she must have liked it ....she didn't stop him so she must want it bad ....after all, they are just women, right?

Any of you know someone who personally has been raped? You might and not know it. Up to 40% of all rapes go unreported. Women are threatened with violence, death, repeats if they say anything. Intimidations beyond anything you can dream, because men don't like to be raped either, and we all know what happens to rapists in jail. So even if the victim has enough courage and resolve to file a report, it's invasive tests (after just being violated since they have to happen almost immediately for DNA testing), being forced to relive the event over and over as statements are taken, then in court, attacks from the defense questioning your morals and sexual history, dragging the victims name through the mud over and over again in an attempt to paint them as "whores who can't keep their legs shut" or "liers who want money or payment" and of course, the staredown from the rapist during trial as another form of intimidation.

Rape victims are so f'ed up afterwards that they can't have normal relationships anymore, afraid that every man is going to force themselves on them, PTSD, trust issues, the damn list goes on forever. They don't want to relive it, they feel dirty and think no one will believe them (shouldn't be a surprise just based on the responses in this thread) so they hide it, cover their shame because as a society we have convinced women that if a man forces sex on you and you don't want it, it's your fault he had to take it from you. Because most men won't believe them.

I have a daughter, under 14. This is my fear, that some man will do this to her. And she will be unable to fend off her attacker, or is threatened with retaliation if she says something, or killed. I tell you what, if this was my daughter even 30 years later, and I found out the POTUS raped her and then blamed her and called her a lier, I would be in jail for forcibly raping him with various objects of length and width and sharpness and then bleeding him slowly until he was the x POTUS. Make no mistake, your clout or title or net worth mean nothing to a father.

Trump didn't even bother to show, after he said he would to confront her. Couldn't even be in the same room with her. Instead, he hides behind the safety of his phone and shoots out stupid statement after stupid statement. Makes him look scared and week.

I'm super glad that the ones in this thread that don't respect women, or support someone who rapes a woman but is rich or famous, are really vocal about it. At least I haven't been surprised by the responses.

I know, she did it to screw your boy over. The only reasons people say things about him is not because he's a POS but because they just want to be mean to him. It helps with the whole victim mentality he espouses and his supporters gobble up.

With all that long term damage and horribleness, one would assume that date and time would be seared into the victim’s memory?
Guess not in this case?

Study trauma and memory and you will find your answer.

No, but your justice system is a bit of a laughing stock over here so I guess you just have to live with what you've got.

Or, you could just keep whining about it?
