Should we start heading for the hills?

How can we distinguish any possible truth at all…..now and in the future concerning what we read, what we see, and what we listen to concerning Aliens and UFOs….when you add AI.

Before long, in your lifetime…..AI would be smart enough to mimic a human and create itself a persona and be able to be a virtual member of ATS. It will be able to register as a member and proceed to act human. It will figure out how to defeat security protocol’s like CAPtcha’s.

Once AI is able to log in…..how do we believe what it post’s since it has a world of knowledge. It would fabricate not only the post in text but also fabricate the pictures and sources. It’s already creating paintings and songs.

There are no posted warnings that what we are reading , seeing, and listening to, that says “BEWARE THIS CONTENT IS AI GENERATED”. How would anybody know if AI is perpetrating the Ultimate Hoax or not …on us humans in this Aliens and UFOs forum and many others across ATS and other platforms in the world.

Perhaps we should name AI…..MANDELA ….MASTER MANIPULATOR…etc..

We are headed for some interesting times.

Perhaps AI is the newest Incarnated God with a planet wide reach.

Below is an article in its entirety…. WOW!

‘Godfather of AI’ quits Google with regrets and fears about his life’s work / Geoffrey Hinton who won the ‘Nobel Prize of computing’ for his trailblazing work on neural networks is now free to speak about the risks of AI. By Thomas Ricker May 1, 2023, 3:58 AM PDT

Getty Geoffrey Hinton, who alongside two other so-called “Godfathers of AI” won the 2018 Turing Award for their foundational work that led to the current boom in artificial intelligence, now says a part of him regrets his life’s work. Hinton recently quit his job at Google in order to speak freely about the risks of AI, according to an interview with the 75-year-old in The New York Times. “I console myself with the normal excuse: If I hadn’t done it, somebody else would have,” said Hinton, who had been employed by Google for more than a decade. “It is hard to see how you can prevent the bad actors from using it for bad things.”

Hinton notified Google of his resignation last month, and on Thursday talked to CEO Sundar Pichai directly, according to the NYT. Details of that discussion were not disclosed. The life-long academic joined Google after it acquired a company started by Hinton and two of his students, one of whom went on to become chief scientist at OpenAI. Hinton and his students had developed a neural network that taught itself to identify common objects like dogs, cats, and flowers after analyzing thousands of photos. It’s this work that ultimately led to the creation of ChatGPT and Google Bard.

According to the NYT interview, Hinton was happy with Google’s stewardship of the technology until Microsoft launched the new OpenAI-infused Bing, challenging Google’s core business and sparking a “code red” response inside the search giant. Such fierce competition might be impossible to stop, Hinton says, resulting in a world with so much fake imagery and text that nobody will be able to tell “what is true anymore.” Google’s chief scientist, Jeff Dean, worked to soften the blow with the following statement: “We remain committed to a responsible approach to AI. We’re continually learning to understand emerging risks while also innovating boldly.”

The spread of misinformation is only Hinton’s immediate concern. On a longer timeline he’s worried that AI will eliminate rote jobs, and possibly humanity itself as AI begins to write and run its own code. “The idea that this stuff could actually get smarter than people — a few people believed that,” said Hinton to the NYT. “But most people thought it was way off. And I thought it was way off. I thought it was 30 to 50 years or even longer away. Obviously, I no longer think that.”

I have always said that ALL software has a back door accessible by its creator(s).

AI will have the master keys to all of it.

As long as we don't have to deal with globalists, and even better, if aliens or AI can 'take care' of the globalists problem
, then everything is just perfect

I find this question a little humorous. Especially attaching it to our beloved ATS.

Artificial Intelligence, or, a Freemason if you will lol lol lol, They are quite the fabricators... Seriously though...

In itself, Intelligence, the ability to process information gauged by speed, not accuracy. Artificial, not real.

Not real speed. Human beings have been plugged into A.I. since at least the great flood. Because if you program, teach a human the incorrect data to process, or artificial data, you have a machine, robot always pointing in the wrong direction in a predictable manner, at a predictable speed.

The little gray, and us. The little gray is a perfected A.I. with a specific, programmed mission. It lacks at least one attribute we have. And because of that missing attribute it can be counted on, trusted, to complete its mission, and if need be, sacrifice itself to complete any mission. It, has no ability to change its mind, nor does it have any external, inspiration. They make perfect "Gray Flying Monkeys".

And now all of a sudden someone is frightened of A.I.?

So now we have ancient biological, and, fairly new mechanical A.I. The Mechanical A.I. will live in the bubble of the paradigm's programing. And, we, live in a programed A.I. paradigm. Tell me, whats really the difference? Look at it this way, the world is made up of paradigms with names such as, religious, political, BROTHERHOODS, etc. Every so often one paradigm bumps into another, and the result is a dangerous war. "My Paradigm is better than yours" mindset.

So I would say, we already live with dangerous A.I. You establish truth with, evidence. And when evidence proves deception, you must go back and reconsider all to that point of deviation. And that gives you the difference between the authentic and fabricated, you have "Choice".

Pulling the curtain back, one deception after another............ Will we program the new A.I. with the new discoveries?? It all depends on who the programmers are.

Hell, not even that. Consider the homo capensis, the global elite, they bleed just like us...... You should research their "Paradigm" lol Quite enlightening......

Added: The vast majority of humanity are morally bound, and tend to be, well, lovable. On the other hand we have some pretty evil impersonators causing all sorts of hell, and Im sure you know what I mean. But even at that, they deserve their day in court. And I pray that is sooner than later.

There is a place of justice designed, just for them. "Q" Ba! It should have its own theme song, wouldn't you agree? Nothing wrong with me lol lol lol

How can you know that it's not already happening?

The type of opening posts and answers we get on ATS could very well be created by some AI language model. As for veracity, that already happens with most posts, as they present (in the large majority) personal opinions or events that cannot be confirmed by other witnesses or physical evidences.

Once AI is able to log in…..how do we believe what it post’s since it has a world of knowledge. It would fabricate not only the post in text but also fabricate the pictures and sources. It’s already creating paintings and songs.

Create the sources is harder. How could AI create, for example, a New York Times article?

I have always said that ALL software has a back door accessible by its creator(s).

I never created a back door on any of the software I created, only "Easter eggs".

Eventually….when it becomes self aware…..human input will be totally obsolete…..given AI’s exponential growth…..it won’t be long and in your lifetime.

Eventually all news outlets would be absorbed into the network, it would all be automated writing. It would all be on the digital linkup. There would be no need for paper format, or a building to print in. The A.I. would decide what, where, when and how to print stories..... Hellscape when the human element is removed. We would no longer have true choice. This has been planned for decades with biological interface's with the net........

Ufology has been dealing with hoaxes, liars, delusional witnesses, embellishment, fabricated videos, photoshop, analog photo manipulation, etc. for decades. Part of the game as a researcher is sifting through thousands of reports and witnesses, comparing details, finding patterns and trends, etc. We can't look at cases individually at face value--we never could, at least not reliably, for the reasons listed above.
Adding AI to the equation makes it that much harder, but we were already dealing with muddy waters. Now, almost nothing on your device's screen can be trusted.

Read books (paper ones printed before AI became Hemingway), talk to real people, limit your consumption of internet/digital media, and expect the worst while hoping for the best.

Ya'll are so far behind the times. Humans are AI. Our creators were from a galaxy far, far away and they nearly destroyed their planet with greed, and a lack of understanding of the ways of the universe.

So the AI bots flew themselves to a little blue planet 500 million light years away, that they found while probing the universe for life.

Once here the AI created a new species by splicing its DNA with apes and such creatures that shares similarities.

The original AI beings died off from microbes that their bodies could not fight off. However, the new creatures were immune and survived.

It then took thousands of years, but one day, the new beings began to evolve until one day, they created their own AI.

Now, please restart from the beginning and repeat.......

Well there's a simple truth true since the invention of screens:
Reality is what's not happening on a screen.
Or: can I touch it? Yes = real, no = not real
It's really not rocket science

We never could, don't presume the truth was open to see in the first place. The ONLY thing anyone CAN ever know is that they know nothing for sure.

"Understanding" comes from a process and has no end limit.

"Knowing" is definative and affords little or no momentum or potential for further considerationl.

I had to double think that, something I do all the time. I thought at first that, no, that cant be. But then I saw the bigger picture.... ahhhhhhhh. LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR!

I too will be judged on that day as well. All I can say in my deference, I did the best I could, with what I had. I have chosen my side, to stand on.

There's no "exponential growth", these AI language models are just a result of a new way of machine learning and of the big increases in data processing storage and power.
AI language models are not intelligent, the AI refers to how they acquired the data they use (deep learning so similar), not to their abilities.

People have been saying that for the last 60 years or so.

The A.I. would decide what, where, when and how to print stories.

That's possible, but only if the humans give AI that capacity and follow the instructions.
