Seems like we are still waiting for Wagner Group and the rest of the Russian Federation forces to take the entirety of Bakhmut.

It's been a while now, don't you think?

No doubt this attack was planned well by US and Kiev.

So they went after a blogger...lol OK

All that power and we killed a blogger... Maybe look closer to home for who did it... You might be shocked.

Some additional information about the attack.

Authorities have now detained the woman who presented the blogger with the bust/figurine(Darya Trepova) who allegedly fled the scene.

A woman has been detained by Russian police as a suspect in the assassination of a prominent Russian war blogger at a St. Petersburg cafe on April 2 that also injured 32 people. Russia's Investigative Committee, the country's top state criminal investigation agency, said on April 3 that 26-year-old Darya Trepova was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the killing of Vladlen Tatarsky, the pen name of prominent blogger Maksim Fomin.

Now just a thought, but if the attack was planned by US and/or Kiev, one would imagine their security forces would have had a better exit strategy in place regarding their operative other than to be quickly apprehended by authorities.

There is also speculation that the attack could be down to Russian political infighting amongst their own players.

I saw this video on twitter it's says it was before the explosion happened. I give this guy credit for one thing and it's exposing the fact that Russia was involved in Donbas conflict since 2014 even though Russia denied it.

U.S and NATO as a collective group of countries keeps throwing billions of dollars in the furnace against lil ol Russia.

Russia didn’t declare war or fully mobilize. It’s a proxy war.

And it says a lot, that Wagner as little group just keeps taking over towns and cities against the billions of dollars and equipment from the west.

At least 200,000 Russian casualties would suggest otherwise.

On topic: We don't know who was behind the killing yet.
But to assume it was some sort of US/CIA inspired plot seems a bit premature to me. Let's face it, he was a bit of a low-key target. I would have thought - yes, just speculation I know - that if they were going to attack someone within Russia, they would have targeted a more prominent person. Why would the CIA target such an irrelevant and relatively obscure blogger like him?
And it does seem all rather amateurish and not very sophisticated.

Ukraine?
Again, why target someone who poses no threat to them and whose death serves no purpose whatsoever?

Russian anti-war activists in St Petersburg?
Possibly.
Tatarsky was probably more well known locally than nationally or internationally. And he would have been a relatively easy target for any local activists wanting to make a statement.

Or was it the result of some sort of internal dispute as has been reported in some circles?
Quite possibly.
It seems there is growing discord within the pro-war/pro-Putin/Nationalist ranks at the moment which has resulted in one or two suspicious deaths recently.

It has even been suggested that it was a Kremlin/GRU false flag.
Personally, I find that unlikely.
If they were going to do something like that, I would have thought it would have been something a bit grander possibly even eliminating one of Putin's potential replacements or threats.

Again, I know its speculation, but I suspect that whoever is behind this it's more of a localised thing rather than some government/intelligence agency inspired act.

I could easily be wrong.

Do you imagine all those Russian Cruise missiles are cheap as chips?

And what about all those tanks, APC, and other armor, Russia has lost in the field, do you think they come from "Pound Land"?

I think Ukraine might disagree on that score hence all the kerfuffle and the refusal to capitulate to Russian Federation scum that invaded their nation under the guise of hunt the nazi when it was really nothing more than a land grab.

Aye a lot of dead criminals, who are considered to be expendable, that's what it says, same as the rest of their forces are considered to be if we are honest.

Seemingly the woman has ""confessed"" to her part in whatever went down.

Although she's yet to divulge whoever gave her the device to deliver.

You would think she would be wanting to give up such information as soon as possible thus mitigating her part in the murder by my guess.

NATO has been throwing $Billions of dollars and equipment there. NATO didn’t declare war.

And NO, Russia didn’t declare war either.

Some will disagree, but it’s a full blown fact Russia did NOT declare an all out war on Ukraine. Yet.

You’ll know when or if they do.

Whatever your views on Wagner is, they are a small group that’s taking towns and cities against the backing of a collective group of countries (NATO).

How?
When they unleash this highly trained Army with their super-duper hi-tech weaponry that we've been hearing about for over a year now but have been remarkable only in their non-appearance?
You know, the army that could easily have marched straight through Ukraine and achieved all of Putin's alleged objectives in a matter of weeks and saved literally thousands upon thousands of needless deaths on both sides.

Or maybe you are alluding to his repeated threats to fling nuclear weapons around for the simple reason that he can't get his own way?

Please tell me, what are Russia going to do?

Do you mean sane people?

What else do you call striking civilian infrastructure all over the nation of Ukraine with cruise missile and artillery barrages, or occupying parts of the country, if not war?

You’ll know when or if they do.

How so?

Your man Putins ""special military operation"" has lasted over a year now with no end in sight, if that's not war im not quite sure what is.

Whatever your views on Wagner is, they are a small group that’s taking towns and cities against the backing of a collective group of countries (NATO).

They are poorly trained ill-equipped, rapists, murderers, and thieves, that are being used as expendable cannon fodder which is a fact not a view.

How do you think that works out for the people in these towns and cities they attempt to occupy or overcome?

What would you do if they kicked in your front door, emptied your home of any and all possessions of any value, and proceeded to kick in your back door, on the way to do the same to your neighbors, just for good measure?

Coz im apt to think you would not be thanking them for their troubles.

Also, do you have anything of significance to contribute to the thread or are you simply here to praise your lord god Putin?

No. A proxy war would be Russia using a scapegoat to do their dirty work. Much like during the Cold War.

No, this is an actual war. By all accounts it's going just about as well as Afghanistan did. Ooops.

Well over one hundred thousand dead, wounded, and missing soldiers--if unpaid, untrained cannon fodder can be called "soldiers"--the most elite units in the Russian Army shot to pieces. Using T62's, instead of the much vaunted Armata T14.

No, this is a war. One that the Russians seem to be losing. Grave miscalculation on the part of Putin. Ooops, again.

Here’s one.

April 2, 2023, 23:00. We hoisted a Russian flag with the inscription “To the good memory of Vladlen Tatarsky” and the flag of Wagner on the city administration of Bakhmut. Legally, Bakhmut is taken. The enemy is concentrated in the western districts. — Prigozhin

To the memory of a bank robber and criminal that liked to say some rather nasty things maybe, don't know about good.

Anyhoo Bakhmut has yet to fall in its entirety as far as I'm aware, how's that working out for Wagner?

And it doesn't look like you have managed to address any of the questions posed nether.

Any idea which group is responsible?

ALSO...we had a guy on ATS who said he was a Russian writer/blogger.
I remember him from some threads.
He sort of vanished a while back.

He wasn't anyone important, just a guy talking # like people do on here.

Propaganda is the conduit through which wars are won or lost. He was apparently important enough to be killed.

I have nothing concrete to base this on, but I suspect the woman involved got the statue from someone she knew, probably someone with ties to Ukraine. Governments go after dissidents, not supporters. Vladlen Tatarsky was a supporter of Russia.

This was foolhardy as all hell if I am right. We cannot withstand a full-on Russian assault. We might win, but the cost would be enormous. If we keep using Ukraine to poke that bear, it WILL lead to a full-on Russian assault on the USA (and probably the UK).
