I don't disagree with anything you've said there, I imagine my ideas of going to Ireland or North or even West would be a pipe dream!

I think mentally, I was answering "Where would I relocate too if it seemed like WW3 was imminent?", rather than if it had started, so I've failed to answer my own actual question! I can't break my own rules so East Sussex countryside will have to do!

I have enough homebrew cider to get through a few weeks, then who knows!

I remember reading that southeast Oregon has no critical strike targets and would not be impacted by fallout based on the location away from critical strike targets. It's not where I would go if WW3 happened; making it across the country would be impossible. So I'll stay here in rural SC and take my chances; it's where my home base is.

I can take you to plenty of places in the US where they might know who the president is but not know the cabinet, policies nor maybe even the VP. They may even say they are devote Christians, but can’t tell you that Ahab was the husband of Jezebel nor that he was a King of Israel.

Not that they are stupid. Just they have more day to day concerns with a smaller worldview. And what they consider fluff, is really none of their business so they don’t care about it. Think Hobbits, more than morons or simpletons.

South Africa and Namibia. Both southern hemisphere and one can zip between both. Easy to go under the radar in South Africa, harder in Namibia which is a bit iffy about foreigners yet loads of space to hide, 1.6 million British over there to blend into, lots of wildlife to hunt also fish and food stuffs and kind of out of the way, also not Aussies

I'm thinking one of the moons of Saturn or Jupiter might be nice.

Assuming one could find a country accepting refugees in the midst of WW3, I'd move to the southern hemisphere, as most of the nuclear threats are in the northern hemisphere. The more southern, the better (except Antarctica). Wind currents should keep nmost of the fallout in the north.

For me it's simple...stay put .. I live in Australia .. we are an isolated island with a lot of land ...yes Russia can reach here with weapons ....Australia has got tensions with China for years now.... But I look at Australia as an asset for the global power structure
It's a small population ( easy to control ) lot of land and resources.... Tucked away down the bottom of the world ... Plus my community is here .. say you run off to a foreign land. You are a foreigner and in times of war who will help you ? People become the biggest asset who will stand shoulder to shoulder with you that you can trust ?

I’d stay put, I just need to come up with a scheme to persuade everyone to move out first. You know make them believe the grass is greener over there.

During the peak of madness during the plandemic
In Australia it looked badd. I was kinda getting ready to be put in a camp for refusing the jab...I thought I that was coming
I got some land in Colombia and a half built house there rainforest on the beach ... I was arranging a private jet to get myself out of here with my wife (who was pregnant at the time ) and some close friends we were going to go and live there..... Turned out I stayed .....which is extremely lucky.... The area I have land..... Became very very baddddd ... There is paramilitary and the gov going at it ... My friend on the ground there(he's half Colombian half Mexican ) had to flee to Mexico ... There was a lot of action after he got out...this was a peaceful place till then.... Point is... You never know what may come and what seems like an attractive option to go...may turn out to be your worst nightmare.....

That may be so .. many years back ..while in the military. We asked why is our army so tiny ?
The officer smirked and said ...we don't need a large army ... We have assets to ensure nothing can ever reach our shores (he gave us a look like he knew something we didn't know ) .,. Also look beyond conventional warfare...where has the trillions of dollars gone that has been funneled into black projects for decades and decades ....
