Wherever you go, I would suggest that you go because you have been invited and wanted. Otherwise you may be swapping one war for another.

The last place you want to be is a place that is strange to you, that you are do not know, so cannot traverse safely if the need arose. And you surely don't want to be a stranger to the people who are already dealing with an increase of strangers that they already are leery of and angry about.

Personally, I believe, dead is dead. I would rather die in a land that I know, and where I have people that I love and that love me. When TSHTF I do not want to be a stranger in a strange land. The stranger in the strange land is usually the first to bite the dust.

Australia is the West's secret weapon for that whole theater, mine as well be a huge unsinkable aircraft carrier sitting off the coast of all the worlds hot spots.

Timing is everything... who delivers the goods the fastest you know.

All this of course hidden in the outback which would become a dead zone.

Best for you to hole up if you're already in the S/SE coasts.

I have some land on the east coast
Some of the most secret bases America has are here in Australia where no one ever looks... Area 51 is nothing compared to what's hiding down here
Fortress Australia.... I also have a saying . I live in the belly of the beast .. very fitting that is what Australia is

Jerusalem is still around in the end per scripture. It may be attacked but will never be destroyed.

If you truly think the end is near, it is more about where you are before it happens. Certain places (like England) will be nearly impossible to leave. Learn how to navigate, fly a plane, fish, hunt, build basic shelter. Actually minus the plane, study any tactics used by Native Americans, Inuit, or any other nomadic group as the old ways will once again become the norm.

I just think Hawaii, Japan, even Taiwan can all be decimated, they don't have to be sunk or anything like Democrats would have you believe, but Aus will endure and persist no matter what's thrown at it.

Australia is very much so a protected asset.

Yeah, but it's pretty much an ethnostate for people seeking long-term residency in Yerushalaim. Like, check your DNA passport credentials if you want to shelter there in case of Doomsday, Armageddon, Ragnarok, Sixth Kali Yuga, Great Reset, Grey Goo, End Credits, Fade to Black, Kingdom Come, the Nothing, etcetera.

Some very interesting points and thoughts have been shared here! Plenty I hadn't personally considered or was aware of, although I am recently awaken (or certainly waking up, at the very least).

Thank you all for the topics discussed so far, I look forward to more.

Particularly interested to see any further thoughts on the Australia topic, more so from a knowledge expanding perspective then that which directly answers the question I posed. If I could jump on a plane, I'd certainly head to South America, possibly Chile (the Argentians would send me back!). The dog would most certainly enjoy the mountain hikes, if I could sneak him through airport security!

Deterrence is the key there, it'll likely never get hit. It doesn't just have that iron dome but like Australia anything incoming from orbit is going to be way up there on priority I'd guess, like the worlds financial centers.

Of course we are talking about old school nukes in this thread but I could only imagine like in 2035 when we are all driving around in electric cars and combustion personal transportation has been outlawed... the death and destruction alone from all the vehicle accidents during an EMP attacks would be catastrophic.

I made a SHTF threat map of the U.S. (I wish I still had it) that covered every major threat like, EQs, droughts, wildfires, floods, hurricanes, Yellowstone super volcano, fallout from major cities that get nuked, fallout from reactors, everything I could think of and came up with the safest area to live in the States. That area was north of Duluth Minnesota near the Canadian border. The western UP of Michigan just east of there would be about as good, but I'd have to get to that area first, a problem with all those lakes in my way unless I go across the Big Mac or around Chicago and back north (a no go zone for sure).

If the word is true, then death is not to be feared.

KJV Revelations 9
6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

I'd stay right where I'm at. I'm far enough from every major city that a nuclear bomb SHOULDN'T effect me, and armed enough to protect my family for a little while. Other than that, there's really nowhere for me to go unless it kicks off in about 5 or 6 years. Then I'll have my bunker in place.

Being in canada theres lots of places to run to but now that our governments have shown their true colours it really looks only like alberta might be decent, as they stood up to the mandates in some areas and now their government is opposing digital id, as is saskatchewan.

Around here, I live pretty near military bases that would get hit. In fact, my parents house in Comox even has a bomb shelter that some previous owner added during prior wartimes. Not that it would work for nukes, but for conventional shelling.

Anyhow, hate the weather here so Id rather go somewhere warmer. Always wanted to go to South America. Know enough spanish I could build on it. Long way away though so not likely in an emergency.

At the beginning of the mandating, with all the hate surrounding me regarding vaccination, I wanted to flee. All my life going north seemed the way to freedom but while canada is a big place, it is most assuredly messed up now.

I'd stay right here between several strategically important military bases. Surely one of the first bombs would strike here, and that's just fine with me.

Nukes are MAD I don't even know if it's still a thing.

I think we're all well in the midst of the so-called Gen5 and biological's are the things to come... but who will be attacking you?

Besides we've all had our recent training, the new duck & cover... won't actually do squat but make ya feel some security.

I was just thinking about this... where would I like to live if the SHTF.

From what I can gather, you'd need to be pretty far out away from any major population area. It isn't just nukes you have to worry about but stragglers from cities and even the local meth heads and opportunists. The reality is there is a very thin veneer keeping things civilized and once it is clear that there is now law or consequences, pretty much anywhere with other people will be dangerous, especially if those people have no way to care for themselves. Even in very rural areas, you will find evil people you need to deal with... in fact, it may be even worse as there really won't be an law and order around compared to more densely populated areas.

I often dream of having an off grid cabin, but when I think about it, I don't know where I can go that wouldn't be found eventually. If there are people around and a road or trail, your bug out spot can be found and it simply isn't realistic that I can pack up and move to the wilds of Alaska, Rockies, BC or anywhere so secluded that there is practically no access. Then you also have to take into account being self-sufficient which isn't as easy as is it sounds.

Ideally, I'd like some place in southeast mountains.... I could see going up north to Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine as well. I figure you need a place that is far enough away that it is a pain to get to on foot and not very practical for even a car. Then you want to be far enough off any main road that someone wouldn't likely to happen upon your place by accident. How to conceal a driveway or trailhead to your place that is maybe a mile or two deep in forest off a main road?
