If you’re going to ask a question like this shouldn’t you first prove that JC existed? So without sourcing the bible where is your evidence that JC ever existed or if existed was divine?

Proof is subjective. JC is a belief. However, I recall learning of other cultures mentioning a man such as JC, if one is to believe that JC was a travelling man and a shape shifter (might explain the resurrection).

A newly deciphered Egyptian text, dating back almost 1,200 years, tells part of the crucifixion story of Jesus with apocryphal plot twists, some of which have never been seen before.

Written in the Coptic language, the ancient text tells of Pontius Pilate, the judge who authorized Jesus' crucifixion, having dinner with Jesus before his crucifixion and offering to sacrifice his own son in the place of Jesus. It also explains why Judas used a kiss, specifically, to betray Jesus — because Jesus had the ability to change shape, according to the text — and it puts the day of the arrest of Jesus on Tuesday evening rather than Thursday evening, something that contravenes the Easter timeline.

www.livescience.com...

Where better to look than within Egyptian texts?

And what of The Christ of India? From the source below it all makes sense to me in explaining some of JC's behaviour, goals and teachings.

Jesus of Nazareth was an Essene, as were most of his followers, including the twelve Apostles. When Jesus said “I will build my church” (Matthew 16:18), the word used in the Greek text of the Gospels is ecclesia, which literally means “the called out” or “the separated” in the sense of “the aliens.” It is not far-fetched, then, to wonder if the correct translation should not be: “I will establish My Essenes.” Many elements distinguished and even separated the Essenes from the rest of Israel.

1. In your last message you made it made quite clear that you are talking from a political platform, not for true interest in history and knowledge. And I respect that, but it would have been better if you made it clear from the go and avoided all this charade, friend. You are a supremacist who is afraid that people call myths and legends into question that put in doubt your political positions. Clear as water. Don't need to hide it, be proud of who you are.

2. Anyhow. This is what these distorted versions of history generate. Division. Jews, Muslims, Arabs, and who is valid and who is invalid. The way I criticize zionists supremacists, the same I do in the case of Arabs and Muslims who have the same type of speech. I'm a pacifist. But lies lead nowhere. What your small mind doesn't seem to get is that ALL HUMANS are valid, and trying to twist history to deny that speaks very low of the people who attempts that. However, anyway, if this lets you sleep at night, fine by me.

3. When I talked about Palestinians, since you accused me of being antisemitic, I'm referring to the people who today call themselves Palestinians or Syrians, as well as those who call themselves "Jews". I'm not giving those labels, they use them themselves. I was not referring to who was allegedly there 2.000 years ago, that's ridiculous. What would be the point of me being antisemitic with people who died 2.000 years ago or more?... Don't be so silly...

Anyway, this being said, there is plenty archeological record of Romans talking about Syria= and Palestine, but no records of Romans talking about "Hebrews", "Israelites", or "Jews". That's a historical fact, sorry, I know that you probably don't like to hear that, but facts are stubborn things, baby.

Now, yes, bye. Good luck in the next war. People with your type of mentality always end up in one.

You can't play the freaking pacifist of virtue when you come off a mocking tirade about the insidious false history and grand Jewish lie conspiracy. That's not the higher ground, that's instigation to play the martyr. Deception all around.

I am taking issue with the disregard and dismissal of ancient Israel and it's many incarnations throughout history. You called David, Solomon, Israel, all lies. And while there are liberties taken we know they existed as much as Any other ancient King and Kingdom. The more we dig the more we find. Archaeology is validating that the narratives outline is somewhat accurate. That bugs me from a historical standpoint and what is known about Ancient kingdoms and supporting evidence. Israel seems to be the one you focus on as fake.

While absolutely your right to say you should be prepared for the Zionist to think and argue, "Are you really trying to argue Israel is a lie, Wow!"

If you really think that sharing facts is an "insidious", "instigative", "deceptive" thing to do... even if I respect your choices 100%, let me tell you that I pity you so much. I still wish you the best though, don't mistake me. The first interaction you and me had was about spirituality, we agreed how truth and honesty was all it mattered. I liked that person. This one... it's a hard one to swallow.

I know you don't like the facts I share, that it "bugs you", because the narrative that you were told was designed for you to feel this way when you hear my words. That's exactly my point. All I wish for the Middle East is peace and happy co-existence among all peoples in the area. Like it used to be in the past, complete co-existence between jews, muslims and christians, until all changed when governments arrived with their supremacist narratives and distortions. That's what I'm fighting.

Beliefs are personal and no one should be attacked for what they believe. Beliefs are the crutches that help many people go through life on a daily basis. Every belief should be respected. But that will never happen while people sustain self-comforting lies to justify hate and violence against one another, and that goes to ALL sides. And you can still believe in Yahweh, celebrate Hanukah and Yom Kippur, without needing to lie yourself about any land or mythical empire. Beliefs are based on faith, not on facts, and as a believer, all that matters is where you are going, not what happened 2.000 years ago or more.

The solution is that EVERYONE, trough truth and honesty, recognize their flaws, their crimes, their misinterpretations, their abuses, and start acting to fix that. Otherwise, all you have ahead is more war, and more death.

PS: Israel, today exists as a country. I don't believe in countries, they are artificial creations by the powers that be, to keep the world under their dominion and divided. The ancient kingdom of Israel, there is no evidence of such place, we already established that. The most probable thing is that this area of the world was populated by different groups of people, with different beliefs and deities, but sharing one matrix (the Canaanite culture), that used to live in relative peace until the Romans arrived. But there was no magnificent ancient Jewish empire that has the "right" to claim the lands, or invade what it wants when it wants, or anything of that sort. As well as no Muslim or Christian can either.

We are all humans, we all deserve to live on earth, in any land. That is what the people in the region needs to go back to. To the times where no one questioned who had the right to take which land from others. So, it's time to stop telling self-comforting lies and acknowledge that everyone has a right to live where they please, without being attacked for their belief, or ethnicity, or what ever label you can think of.

All the leaders, from Israel, Lebanon, Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, etc. keep benefiting of the division and the conflict, they grow richer everyday, while people die and suffer. Don't you see that that's their business?... While Israel bombs Gaza, the Hamas leaders are multi-billionaires living in luxury hotels in Qatar. It's all a huge war scam.

Oh lord. What I say is not an opinion, it's A FACT.

Archeological records show (since ever) that Romans only referred to a region, not a people or a culture, which they called Judaea first, and Syria Palestine later. This Judaea encompassed a large territory that was populated by Canaanites that had a very diverse belief system with many deities part of the pantheon of the Phoenician head god EL. That's all there is.

If there were "Hebrews", "Israelites", or "Jews" in the area, the Romans left no evidence of such thing. In fact, not even these "Hebrews", "Israelites", or "Jews", left any evidence of themselves neither, apparently they were like ghosts and didn't write about themselves... There is simply no physical record of them, from anyone, nada, rien, nothing...

But, if you claim that I'm lying, do it simple, friend: If you have the archeological evidence that Romans talked about "Hebrews", "Israelites", or "Jews". Bring it on. Uncountable amounts of archeologists have been digging for that evidence over 200 years (in the Levant and in Italy) and never found it. Maybe you did and no one realized! :-D

I do find it funny that your "evidence" for this is an opinion piece from a website called "myjewishlearning.com".... very funny, thanks for the laugh.

Who is Jesus to me?
The same as He is for Everyone regardless of anyone's point of view.
To know who Jesus truly is, we have to study. Don't take other peoples' word for it. You have to find the truth yourself.

With the people that say Jesus died for our sins, like WTF? Jesus did not die so I could steal a candy bar or do many of the messed up stupid stuff I done growing up.

Well....
Yes He did and No He didn't.
He was the sacrifice.
He paid the price so you would not have to.

In order to understand, fully, you need to be familiar with the Old Testament and the use of sacrifice.
While He did not die SO you could steal a candy bar, He did die to pay the price of you stealing that candy bar.

The message it sends is don't screw up.

That is not the message at all.
He died because He knew you would screw up.
He died because He knew that when you screwed up, you would not be able to pay the price alone.
The message is actually one of forgiveness and grace.

I see it more that Jesus lived to give us direction and hope.

This is also the reason He died.

Jesus, in short, is the Way, the Truth and the and the Light.
For all of us, if you accept Him.

I know what you mean, but those are not archeological records. Those are written accounts, most of them from documents that are no more than 1.000 years old, and documents that are continuously put into question regarding their authenticity, many has been discovered to be apocrypha, fake, or deeply altered.

To give you a clear example of how this works, coming back to Christianity for a second, it is pretty much proven that 7 of the 14 Pauline letters are fake (and the other 7 are also in question...). These letters are considered the KEY foundational documents of the Church, the very core of it. There were a lot of people who created many lies, fake documents, along the way to push their agendas. More than you can imagine. It's literally a minefield.

Archeological records are the ONLY way we have to confirm history. That's why you have all those crazy archeologist digging and digging, some even dig until they die, poor martyrs. And, even archeological records can be faked as well, and they have been, but today carbon dating and other sciences have solved much of that issue, but it's still possible. Written documents are a complete different animal. If the news are full of lies, imagine the history books...

Ok darling, no issue. I don't care what other people say, think or believe, fine by me. Since I'm what you can comically call a "truth warrior", lol, I'm totally used to piss people off, been doing it all my life, it's practically a hobby at this point. If I cared about other people's "love for lies", by now I would be quintupled mRNA boosted and wearing 20 masks at the same time, while hiding under the bed and waving an Ukrainian flag. Not happening any time soon my love.

Then, bombs, besides creating death and suffering, change nothing really, they simply solidify the way things are going. Some people believe in violence as a form of activism, I'm fully against it. It never helps, just makes things worse since it promotes fear, not a good spiritual state at all.

IDEAS, on the other hand, change and shape the world. We are in the 21st century and we have internet (the library of Alexandria) at our very hands. Lies won't and don't last long, truth comes through faster than ever.

And I'm not the only one who knows about these facts I've been telling you about, many people know this, for decades, and more people know this as everyday passes by. Just like now, I've probably just informed you (or others) about things you were probably not very aware of... so, information is flowing, which is what matters. And neither you, or anyone, can do anything to stop that "wave". The question that you should ask yourself (in my opinion), before it's too late, is on which side of the ocean you'll be standing when the wave breaks... I hope you choose well, I mean it.

Even if I consider that you are not thinking straight right now, because of your emotional attachments to certain beliefs, I can see how passionate and smart you are, people like you is always needed. We all make mistakes, we all do. Just today I made the mistake of spending too much time on this website! :-P, but maybe it was worth it.. maybe not for you, but maybe for someone else. Anyway, the world keeps spinning and every action has a reaction.

Much love.

And we do worry, don't we?... Yes, helpless. But, as we have our paths, the world has one of its own. Sometimes, even a rain drop or a gust of wind can make a difference, a small one most of the time, sometimes a big one and we don't even realize how big it can be... Anyway, who can judge what's big and what's small (besides the girls, of course, lol)? And the heart is always looking. And love is always strong (and hard-headed)!

Much love

If He ever comes your way, give up your life to him and he will in return give you his life.

The virgin birth can be explained nowadays as parthenogenesis in humans (very rare), however I doubt artificial insemination was practiced back then. Or it can also be explained through mistranslation.

Oh, I was not trying to say that the artificial insemination was brought about by the Earthlings, I doubt the earthlings had too much to say about any of that going on with the birth of Jesus, even poor Mary, who was quite stunned to find herself in such situation.

I already answered you this question. But I'll try again, even though I suspect that you won't accept it, but well, for any curious mind around then.

The reason why Romans occupied those lands but never spoke about "Israel", or "Hebrews", or "Jews", or "David", or "Solomon", is because:

a) Even though the invaded the whole area, Romans never ran across such thing or, if they did, they never considered relevant to write it down.

or

b) "Israel", "Hebrews", "Jews", "David", "Solomon", are just legends from a fictional mythological kingdom that never existed. Just like Christians tell themselves these stories about this Jesus guy who could walk on water and turn water into wine and throw fantastic parties. Or like Muslims, Buddhists, Taoists, have they own myths and legends. Even, most of what you consider the "official history" of the country you live in is probably a myth too, or a deformation of the truth. This is proven almost on a daily basis.

Myths are legends are abundant, diverse, complex, etc. They are all over the world. Humans love to create narratives, characters, and stories to teach each other lessons (some cheeky ones do it to promote agendas), that's what culture basically is. What all these myths have in common, nevertheless, is the lack of archeological evidence to support them. And some, even have much evidence against them, although people stubbornly defend them with all their emotions.

And again, some of these myths and legends could be true, that's why archeology keeps digging and digging. I will never deny the possibility that places like Atlantis could have been a real, for example. Plato's chronology for Atlantis aligns with the Younger Dryas event, that's simply amazing and impossible to deny. But in the case of the ancient kingdom of Israel, the entire western world has tried consistently to confirm it for centuries, and always failed.

Sometimes, if it walks like a dog, barks like a dog, and wags a tail... it's because it's a dog. But well, you're free to see a cat if you want to, no issue. Meow.

Am I missing something? Because I must be missing something.

Flavius Josephus fully defected to the Roman side and was granted Roman citizenship. He became an advisor and friend of Vespasian's son Titus, serving as his translator when Titus led the siege of Jerusalem in 70 AD. Since the siege proved ineffective at stopping the Jewish revolt, the city's pillaging and the looting and destruction of Herod's Temple (Second Temple) soon followed.

Josephus recorded the First Jewish–Roman War (66–70 AD), including the siege of Masada. His most important works were The Jewish War (c. 75) and Antiquities of the Jews (c. 94).[5] The Jewish War recounts the Jewish revolt against Roman occupation. Antiquities of the Jews recounts the history of the world from a Jewish perspective for an ostensibly Greek and Roman audience.
