At times like this, it’s important to remember these bad cops exist, but are few and far between.

And yet 5 of them managed to turn up at the same time and beat a man to death for his troubles.

What are the odds of that happening?

Because from my way of thinking they should be astronomical unless the problem is indicative of the force.

Your correct all the same as there are good and bad people in all walks of life, the thing is in a position of power such as the Police, a few bad apples tend to spoil the batch or at least severely diminish any sort of trust and respect.

It's not even February and we've already had two major extrajudicial killings by police that occurred under mysterious circumstances.

It's a good question.

Looking at what they did, i would not wish to defend them, union lawyer, or otherwise, i think they are pretty much screwed.

Have to wonder also why they would even attempt such a thing when they must have known that there were bodycams active?

Extremely rare incident in the USA but the immature media does it’s best to convince everyone that this type of stuff happens all the time. It doesn’t, it’s very rare. Prosecute those cops and let the justice system work

And the media should probably concentrate on broadcasting more of the good things officers do, they save the day every day somewhere somehow but you never hear about that.

The media is creating this world, and they're doing a terrible job.

You do hear about it through.

Plenty of vids that show Police buying homeless people the likes of food or trainers.

Even ones that show them buying bikes for wayward kids and the like.

Thing is, it hardly cancels out, or makes up for the likes of the horrible things Police perpetrate, aka torture and murder, especially when caught red-handed and on video.

The videos that show them doing good things, and committing kind acts, simply make it look like they are kind of trying to polish a turd from a certain angle as unfortunate as the case may be.

Obviously, there are good police out there but when people see some of them committing torture and murder on camera to the tune of 5 on 1 it hardly bodes well regarding trust credibility, or respect.

The good outweighs the bad yet that is not the current perception and the media has already committed the crime because the damage is done. The public has been groomed to view police and authority in general as bad guys regardless of the situation.

Maybe it would be easier to celebrate the things "good cops" do if they didn't rally around and defend the bad cops every time they kill someone.

We're all being molested and groomed by the media, surprised more people don't see the parallels with how sexual predators and media outlets use the same tactics.

It doesn't matter if the good outweighs the bad.

People should not have to play spin the bottle with Police iamthevirus.

They are there to uphold and implement the laws of the land.

Not make up their own rules and execute members of the public for sport.

If you show the public Police killing people for god only knows what reason other than sick perverted fun.

They will form opinions based on what they see them do aka commit murder.

And this is hardly an isolated incident or a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence.

Personally I want these building gone... I want to watch them burn. The news should be reporting and having live coverage of their partner and rival outlets in flames.

Maybe then they'll clean up their act.

I have no reservations shooting the messenger, I'll kick their ass right down the well like Leonidas. The root of all evils in this s#it show are the journalists, the talking heads and their employers.

Surely you are not endorsing shooting people and blowing up buildings because you don't like what they are saying???!!!

Because those are terrorist acts of depravity iamthevirus.

And the scum that commits such horrendous evil acts.

Are something to be wiped off the bottom of ones shoe by my guesstimation.

Give me a break. I am sorry this man is dead. It’s sucks. But, the snowball of actions started with him. He fought. He ran. There is a very simple common denominator to all of these. It’s fighting and resisting arrest. There’s a saying “better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6” or as I told my kids, I’d rather bail you out than bury you. The problem is the lack of acknowledging the authority that police have. Did this guy deserve to die, no. Did he initiate the situation that eventually led to his death. Yes. Has he just accepted his ticket or arrest, he would still be alive and these officers would never had come in contact with him. Do the officers deserve punishment, absolutely. You don’t get to beat someone because they ran. Police need to be able to remove personal feelings about things like this. The perpetrator isn’t personally running from you, just running and that is the problem. There seems to be a certain subset of the population, and I’m not talking race, that seem to refuse to comply with law enforcement.

Police sure a s#@t did not give the victim any sort of break unless it was of the broken bones sorts.

I don't know if i would have wanted to exit the car given the screaming of what sound like obscenity never mind the way he was dragged from the vehicle.

As to running away, well that seems to have been for his life, which those five spurious bastards then took from him.

I don't think it would have mattered much if he had chosen to play nice, seems on this occasion Police's intentions were rather clear.

They were hitting him ffs whilst claiming he was resisting arrest which he clearly was not doing and on the floor.

I don't see how this can be justified by claiming noncompliance with authorities given their clear intent, which seems to have been serious assault and murder.

Just think, if the guy didn’t die he’d be in jail right now facing serious charges.

Just think of it - They got diverse police and discovered that ain't the problem. There are still crooks and the cops are still a mess.

Maybe it's people?

They murdered that kid. All of them. Trial. Convict. Die in prison.

Should he have initially run? No. Actions have consequences but it should be jail time not a funeral.

The problem we have now is that people have been conditioned to be afraid of police and to run or act this way. The media. Our own elected officials. Music. Movies. Media.

Please, someone tell me, why things like this have gotten WORSE and not better? This did not happen in the 80's and 90's the way it see it now. Did people get worked over? Sure. Were there deaths? Sure. It was not like this though.

You used to be taught to listen and respect police. Now ACAB. This empowers cops like these 5.

I had a very violent encounter with police and I was a bystander in my own home. Called them about a attempted suicide of my girlfriend at the time. I almost died in the back of a police car because they broke my nose, pepper sprayed me till i Could not breathe and after beating me put me in the back of a car. I had an asthma attack and if a para was not there to hear me and open the door and help me i would be dead. As I was trying to scream and bang the window the cops were looking back in the window smiling. They threatened me in the car and at the hospital that if I said anything about what they did they would come arrest me again. My best friend was shot to death in a domestic by cops and he was unarmed. Another friend shot during a traffic stop unarmed. No reason for either.

Even after all of that, I do not teach my kids to hate cops. I do not teach them they are evil. I teach them that in every profession there are good guys, bad guys and those who don't care. Cruelty has no skin color and neither does hate.

Watching that video made me sick to my stomach.

How do you tell a good cop from a bad one? You cant; and that's why the default is to assume the worst....Kind of like how cops treat almost everyone they interact with. They could burn their unions to the ground, that would be a nice start to earning public trust. But they need to know that trust is earned, not given; something very few of them can get through their thick skulls.

I don't hate Cops, I don't hate Democrats and I don't hate my neighbors, regardless of race or color.

I am just exercising a concept which may be foreign or even quite shocking to those across the pond... it's called freedom of speech.

People should bite the hand that feeds them if and when that hand is feeding you poison.
