China is currently seeing a massive covid wave. Word is that infections are around 205 million (18% of the population). The R number is around 20, dwarfing anything previously experienced in the West…

Source:

Now we hear that China is about to lift travel restrictions…

After almost three years of closed borders, this will reopen the country to those with work and study visas, or seeking to visit family.

China ends Covid quarantine for travellers in January Published

Chinese New Year brings huge movement of people around the globe, as family members from every nation return to the homeland to visit relatives. The quarantine restrictions that have been in place would’ve deterred many from making this journey.

With this massive covid wave infecting hundreds of millions of Chinese the pragmatic response would be to wait until after Chinese New Year and then gently ease restrictions as this wave burnt itself out. But to instead seize that very moment to lift all restrictions seems incompetent at best and begs the question, do the people making these decisions want covid to spread? If you wanted a pandemic, then this Chinese travel tradition is the perfect vehicle, as already demonstrated in 2020.

At the same time it’s been announced that governments have made deals with big pharma to produce hundreds of millions of vaccine doses every year for the next 10 years. Let that sink in… ten years!

Putting these things together isn’t difficult. There’s massive amounts of cash and future profit tied up in covid, with investments made that expect/need covid to stick around for the next decade. Isn’t it lucky that these investments have already been made if we just happen to get another global wave beginning around February!

This wave may or may not remain a relatively low mortality virus (in the global hot house of mutation who can really predict that?). But even in its current form such a wave would probably break all healthcare systems; a variant with an R number of 20 would be an unprecedented tsunami of infections hitting societies almost overnight, triggering lockdowns - a return to the total control of society and cancellation of your freedoms.

The 2 videos I’ve posted as sources are Dr John Campbell in the U.K. He’s been steady and balanced, basing all of his opinions and conclusions on science & stats. He’s been mostly pro the establishment response throughout in pragmatic fashion. However, in his recent uploads he’s become increasingly concerned with the obfuscation of information, disturbing manipulation of the narrative away from the stats and the science that appear to serve a private profit agenda. Most of us have been concerned throughout, but when Dr Campbell’s airing grievances then I'm really worried.

I know this may come across as doom porn and I’m sorry - we’re getting used to seeing covid in the rear view mirror, so no one wants to hear this. But looking at the scenario painted above I don’t see another outcome.

If indeed covid’s designed to do something then it’s to control people, to make more money out of people and perhaps to some extent euthanise particularly unprofitable demographics.

Save the eliminating the human race plots for the next Bond movie.

It seems they found their favourite game now. "Lockdown" they shout and billions of dumbasses lock themselves into their homes.
We didn't last time and we won't this time. No masks, no self incarceration, no weird concoctions in our veins.

Tell me again when It's something really deadly, like the bubonic plague...oh hang on, you wouldn't have to tell me anything, because I'd do it all voluntarily, as part of my self preservation.

Thank God we learned that lockdowns are idiotic and don't do anything but prolong the inevitable. I'm glad our nations have learned this, and understand that we now have data to back up decisions and can make much better plans in the future.

I post this as the obvious, in case anyone wishes to go back to lockdowns.

Lockdowns are dumb and for sheep. I would risk Super Mega COVIDCANCERAIDS that causes an extremely violent death by explosive dysentery than do that lockdown crap again.

And thank god Putin has decided pull out of Ukraine and donate his offshore trillions to rebuilding it.

Thank god Biden has had his name and address tattooed on his butt in case he gets lost on the way from the door to the desk.

Thank god Gates has given all the farms he bought back to the farmers free of charge.

And thank god the U.K. finally has a PM who isn’t a greedy, ambitious, out of touch bampot. Thank god!

Yes, but it's dwarfed by the losses that businesses and economies are making due to the disruption caused by covid.

From a business perspective, covid is a disaster. From a government perspective, the loss in revenue through taxation due to covid is a disaster.

However much you think that you can make selling vaxxes and PPE, I can make substantially more selling access to sports and entertainment venues, and all of the things that go with it.

Something as simple as reducing the number of visitors to a large theme park can have a substantial knock-on effect to a dozen industries. From the takings at the gate to companies that supply the food and cleaning staff.

Even big pharma is losing out. Not all pharma companies make vaxxes or things that are in demand due to covid, many depend on sales of things like cosmetics. When everyone is locked down or wearing masks sales of these things drop.

Sorry, misread your original post as sarcasm. Personally I don’t believe anything’s been learned by tptb in government and elsewhere except how to tweak the business model to milk even more money and freedoms from the masses

No, here "you" go again.

We vaxxed heavily and early, and have achieved herd resistance. Life here has been more or less back to normal since 2021.

At most we're going to have advise to wear masks on public transport and to socially distance, but defiantly not mandates. Covid is just the flu for us due to vaxxing.

Oh thank god they finally lifted the travel restrictions just in time for the worst part of their pandemic.
That sounds real sensible.

Tedros must be in full support I guess?

Nothing shady about this at all.
They are not trying to spread it to the whole world again, and force upon us the next round of authoritarian controls-honest.
And all our governments in the west are not in on the whole plan-honest.
