I believe that it's up to the State's governor to decide who takes the vacant place. Allowing the spouse to hold the office has been just a gesture that was given in the past but isn't a law or requirement.

File under "every conspiracy theory will come true if you wait long enough" or "we such good friends that our kids look like them instead of us."

There is House precedent, rather famously. Sony Bono died, his wife Mary, who wasn't a thing, replaced him and oddly seemed more a black widow after the switcheroo in retrospect.

It has always bothered me that political replacements do not require a vote in most cases, and, in some the replacement can be a different species, let alone political party.

Regardless, the positioning of the pic suggests, as I suspected, Fetterman will only wipe his butt with permission from his handler wife, who will get her marching orders from elsewhere. Total sham.

Promises of campaign funds—including cash up front.
A Cabinet post or ambassadorship for himself to Serbia.

There's a lot of room for abuse in these Senator replacement issues.

Somewhere in these chapters is something about someone turning over his laptops. Cornpop? Events have been moving slowly but still much faster than the first 5 years. Have a hard time thinking things are going to be different given how elections still work.

I'm not sure it would be allowed but I was raising the point that is what I had heard is she was the real target and not him. I wouldn't put it past them to at least try it. Its interesting she is from Brazil and the current situation in Brazil. Could her influence be used to mold some policies and sway public perception? Interesting times for sure
