But just how can a force like this make such a breathtaking advance through Russia along, of all things, a motorway?

Who knows what they might actually do.

I follow some of this on the Ukraine subreddit, and it appears the trending posts from the frontline is of various soldiers watching their cell phones and eating massive amounts of popcorn.

Masters at trolling the Kremlin.

I also read something about Lukashenko fleeing to Turkey, and Putin fleeing to St. Petersburg.
Though the suspected Putin express turned off transponders. The info came from one of those flight tracker sites.

I don't disagree, there doesn't seem to be a lot of resistance, assuming everything we're getting wind of is true.

I also saw a few reports that Putin went to St. Petersburg. Is that a more easily defensible city than Moscow?

Food is usually crap and expensive.

Prigozhin denies Putin's accusation that he is a traitor, he says the traitors are the ones stealing the money that is supposed to be paying for ammunition. No wonder he can never get enough ammo!

Well of course they won't turn themselves in, lol. At least not until they give it a go first.

I don't think it's based on what's defensible, I think it's because Prigozhin is going to Moscow, but anyway spokesperson Peskov says Putin didn't leave and is still in Moscow, but who knows, usually if his lips are moving, he's lying.

If I was leading troops on that front in ukraine I would quietly reach out to the ukrainians and go for a hot meal and a dry place to sleep we will lay down weapons.

Carewemust, on another thread, thinks that Russia is winning the war. That should tell you everything you need to know about them. Oh and apparently they believe that based on 'reports from the front'. Yeah, right, says everything, right?

In other news, what's going on in Belarus? There was talk to Generals having a good old argument, while Lukashenko sweats in a corner.

Pure speculation, but is it possible this is all a ploy to give Putin an excuse to get out of Ukraine, kind of a face-saving move? "Oh we need to focus on back home, so you're lucky Ukraine." kind of thing.
