When did it become okay to murder people over property, especially when that property might be canned soda and diapers?

Murder people? As in, defending the home from those people that loot and will probably murder you and your family to get what belongs to you?

Dude seriously, you are all out of sync with reality. I am not surprised though with all the drivel you write and your queer views on how the world works or should work.

It's very simple, stealing and looting is a crime, being able to exercise the 2nd is a right. When those two things interfere with each others, plan being shot.

Why do you support looters and rioters and give them the benefit of the doubt over the victims? If some one try looting my place, there's a baseball bat waiting to meet their face, it's very simple. Cause and action.

Are you a nihilist?

This exactly. When someone is mobile enough to go out of their way into harms way, to get some food and water, they as well can go to official places and not wade around in water and go enter other peoples home "for survival".

The chances of JAGs scenario becoming the truth is very little, crocodile tears all over again.

Maybe they should go to a recovery center, or go ask their neighbors for food/water...lol Geez Its more about people driving around with pickup trucks filling up whatever they can find that would sell.

You think some of these people can get to recovery centers? Have you been to Florida?
Some of these places are completely cut off and rescues are still underway.

No it’s not just about people going into houses, as we saw with Katrina. I provided the actual link. They called people trying to survive looters!

False, this has happened in every major natural disaster.
WHY do you think Desantis changed his tune. His people probably told him it would cause unneeded
Violence.

When they decided that property was worth more than their life, sit down clown

So you are trying to say that the majority of the people entering strangers homes to take things is just for survival and not for personal gain?

Care to back that up with some evidence? This isn't Walking Dead, it's real life. The majority of the people going out of their way in such a situation to enter strangers homes is for personal gain, not survival.

In a situation where the homeowner is present to shoot at someone entering property, there's an easy way to avoid being shot if you're life hangs on a thread: Openly communicate your peril and ask for their help and not try force entering or sneaking into a home.

You picked a scenario that is very unlikely and low probability to happen in light of all the real looters and try defending it from that standpoint. Hence the crocodile tears comment.

Please show me a documented incident when someone has been killed for stealing diapers. I'll wait.

So some thief should be able to steal my babies diapers?

Nope.

It's ALWAYS been ok to defend your property from thieving maggots, always should be too.

I know this will fall on deaf ears, but I'd like to offer you and those who 'THINK" like you a little help.

the same people who would shoot you for stealing from them, would also give you whatever you needed that they had, if you just asked. So while you rail on about your right to take other folks things, just remember, there is a way to do this without being blasted to hell.

Awesome! Someone who is thinking ahead. I didn't even think that would cross someone's mind but you never know. We did not get hut by Hurricane Ian, we are in the big bend area, and my husband firmly believes because we had a cold front coming in, we didn't get hit by the hurricane.

Oh you're one of those that would allow someone to steal from businesses because that poor mother or that poor kid. Am I right? Yeah the classic liberal stance, it's okay to steal because Capitalism is evil.

See I have morals and was taught we don't take things that belong to you, unless you're willimg to pay. Idc how poor you are, you just don't steal. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Weird, I've been watching live meetings with the Sanibel mayor and city planner. Unfortunately from satellite photos it seems as if our place was completely destroyed. So sad. Anyway someone mentioned they heard people were going into some of the standing homes. The police chief stated he heard that it was some teens and they are probably just up to mischief. Any idea why island residents are just mischievous and Fort Myers or Tampa residents are considered looters?

The vice-president said DeSantis' statement was racist. Interesting that she assumed the looters would be black.

When you have no idea if they will just settle for the property.

Your argument is crap.

It is always the owner of the property who is asked if what they have is worth someone's life. Never is the criminal asked. Well the person taking the property needs to ask if what they are taking is worth THEIR life.

Katrina is a BS example. For every person seen taking necessities, there were ten hauling off big screen televisions, booze, Nikes and other non-essential items.
