I don't think its my wishes you will have to contend with turretless.

I'm not stupid enough to go off to fight anybody that's not invading my nation.

If you wish to go and fight for an ars*hole like Putin be my guest.

Just don't be surprised when its not all its cracked up to be.

Or if you end up screaming for your mammy at some future date.

In some foxhole whilst artillery shells and missile strikes burst around your ears.

War is hell apparently son and the road to such paved with good intensions.

Russians in Donbass were killed for 8 years.

If you haven't noticed this, then buy new glasses.

Did russia invade Ukraine 8 years ago?

Are Ukrainians not allowed to defend their country?

All these years, Russia has been trying to negotiate with Ukraine to stop these killings. This was called the Minsk agreements.

Are Ukrainians allowed to kill Russians?

turretless if you have an ounce of sense you will try and find a way out of going wherever Putin wants to send you.

Honest question how many people do you imagine Russia can realistically muster, arm, equip, and train, with this mobilization?

Russia is acting like every other nation would in this world. They are not different, but the media makes them seem as different. This is classical war propaganda that has existed since printing press. I remember when Soviet Union started to position themselves in Cuba, then US threw the same words around.

However, I am more inclined that we should leave them alone, so that they leave us alone.

If the West learns to leave anyone on the planet alone, then this will be its great achievement.

Did the West invade Ukraine?

Politically - YES.

I think everyone in the USA that wants to fight for Ukraine should Man up or women up or non binary up and fly to Ukraine and volunteer in their foreign legion to fight the Russians. I am so so sick and tired of hearing leftists calling for WW3 with Russia.

One could equally say that people of the right are so deluded by national politics they've became totally ignorant of an international crisis.

Lefties invaded Ukraine
Lefties threaten the western world with nuclear weapons
Lefties are under your bed!

Nobody wants war with Russia, everybody with a brain wants Russia to stop it's illegal invasion of the Ukraine.

I'm not sure if it's the track record of liars-in-chief you've had in the US or just the divisive politics but it has y'all thinking a nation can lie repeatedly on a world stage about serious things like it's nothing.

You're absolutely deluded to think anyone forced Putin to "Ruse" an invasion whilst constantly lying and flip-flopping on its reasoning.

Pointless posting this I know because I'm to be assumed as a leftist.

So what other nation is threatening the use of nukes because they are getting their arse handed to them in this day of age?

And i think you may find the Soviet Union positioned first strike nuclear missiles in Cuba hence Americas stance on the matter, so there was that.

US not only threatened to use Nukes in Cuban Crisis, but did use nukes twice in WW2.

I do not want a Nazi state to exist next to Russia, the main driving force of which is Russophobia.

The important point is: Most Ukrainians are not Nazis.

An additional circumstance is that the Nazis are in power and have the ability to give orders (and control their execution) to the entire population of Ukraine.

I see it as a war against the rulers who came to power in Ukraine as a result of a coup and tried to make Ukraine a Russophobic country in every sense.

If people do not like you (for whatever reason) do you act kindly to change their minds, or kill them? Do you ever ask yourself why people might not like you, and prefer someone else? Is it something you said or did, perhaps?

In any case, whilst you may consider the war far more justifiable than I ever will, I hope you remain safe (and ideally fail the medical!)

They did indeed, and i don't necessary agree there nether as to dropping atomics in anger.

Apparently the use of nukes saved a lot of young men's life's by way of staving off a conventional invasion of the Japanizes mainland.

And certainly gave Russia pause for thought.

The USA would not have required nukes to alleviate the Cuba problem and possessed an air force army and navy that could have blown Russian forces out the water and off that island with ease should they have chosen to do so.

The Soviets are the ones who would have responded with nukes if that had gone pear-shaped first.

The Scottish have a high % of Anglophobic people does that excuse me to invade the place? Especially considering in the next 5-10 years there's a strong chance they'll become independent?

Personally I insist they get every opportunity to express democracy unhindered, maybe if the full kingdom got the privilege we'd vote Westminster out... One can dream eh?

Ukraine is a nation, show it the respect that should be given to sovereign nations that wish to define their own destiny. If that destiny doesn't involve Russia maybe you should've been nicer to your neighbours.

Aye, after trying to deny the dude was even really Russian if memory serves.

And offering up every excuse you could muster regarding his antics.

End of the day the fellow was of Russian origin, clearly a piece of Nazi scum, and sent to fight.

Aka one of your own beloved Nazi pieces of #.

Conflicts are always two sided. The conflict between Japan and USA was escalating for quite some time, similarly to Russia and NATO countries right now, where sanctions were made, diplomats are sent out etc. Some even say that it doesn't make sense that US intelligence didn't predict the attack on Pearl Harbor.

I try to keep myself from taking sides as much as I can. I try to be on the side of human life, as corny as it sounds. Because I know that the moment you feel like one side is Good and the other one Bad, then you have been hooked by some puppet master. You are letting someone else define your understanding of good and bad.
So, I don't consider any nation as evil. There is a constant game for power, and throughout history, those who currently yield the most, are also the most arrogant.

I think the main reason for this conflict is the screwed up finance and economy. The financial policies for the past century have been insane and were on a direct path to disaster. With Covid, they made an already dire situation a lot worse by slowing down the economy and speeding up money printing on an unprecedented level. Now everything is fcked, and inflation is out of control, with most companies trying real hard to continue work with these fluctuations in price.
So, now they need this war narrative in the media in keeping the simple people busy and as a reason to blame the economic situation on.
Putin also became a strong supporter of the Covid narrative, curiously, mostly after meeting with Biden. So, I wouldn't be surprised if both Russian and US politicians were like: "Hey, we are pretty f*ked and soon the hungry people with pitchforks will come after our heads. But.. I have an idea.. it involves making some noise".

Let's not drift any more away from the topic at hand tho

Shoigu said in the interview that Russia's mobilization resource is about 25 million people - www.abovetopsecret.com...

I'm not in a position right now to look for any figures confirming or refuting this.
