Watching St George's Chapel.
Charles will never 'fill the Queen's boots' sadly. His history as Prince precedes him. He is more his father's son than his mother's.
We can but speculate what Charles will be like adjusting to being King and Monarch.
God bless ma'am, rest well, you have more than earned it.

Big boots to fill, indeed.

I wasn't going to watch the funeral but then the missus put it on and the bagpipes were playing which resonates with my Scottish roots.

It was pretty epic.

though to be fair he is more of this generations feeling trump everything else than his mother..

I hope the weight of what now rests on his shoulders helps him grow from the prince in waiting he was..

I think he could be a good king and hope he doesn't emulate his unlucky namesakes..

Hope so but his late mother is quite an act to follow.

He believes in depopulation and forced veganism.

Let's pray that he remains powerless.

Aye that was quite cool.

What used to be considered to be an outlawed tune, played on an outlawed instrument, by dudes wearing outlawed kilts, and at the Queens own funeral.

If that's not progress, im not sure what is.

Jokes aside she loved Scotland, hence her fascination and attendance at Balmoral.

R.I.P Queen Elizabeth.

Its hard for leopard to change its spots, especially at his age.
I wouldn't be that surprised if after a period of time he'll feel compelled to try and influence government policy....I hope not.

His namesakes weren't 'unlucky';
Charles I was a pompous, arrogant man who was given every chance. I could go on but today's not the day.
Charles II was very well liked, but many would consider him irresponsible given his rather 'hedonistic' lifestyle.

I'll give Charles a chance, we'll see.

Princess Ann is quite the supporter of Scottish rugby, I believe.

Scotland was the Queen's favourite place.

I can understand why. Scotland was great when I visited. The people were certainly easier to understand.
