Prediction:
College tuitions next year rise $10,000 across the board.
The figures show that 662,000 fewer students enrolled in undergraduate programs in spring 2022 than the previous spring – a drop of 4.7%, which is steeper than the decline in fall 2021. To date, the undergraduate student body has dropped by nearly 1.4 million

Sending out $1,500 to every adult citizen to congratulate us for making it through covid-19, would have avoided so much controversy and generated Goodwill.
Biden will cancel $10,000 of federally held student loan debt for all borrowers who make less than $125,000 a year, and $20,000 for recipients of Pell Grants, which are need-based. The policy will impact up to 43 million people and cost the government at least $300 billion (in all likelihood, it will cost much more than that). Ultimately, U.S. taxpayers—many of whom did not take out loans to pay for school—will be on the hook for the money. A very conservative estimate of the cost per taxpayer is $2,100.
According to Biden, forcing all Americans to help pay the debts of college borrowers is an unfortunate necessity
Well if paying for somebody else debt is what you are into, then you agree with a socialist utopia.
If it were me we would have the most fiscally conservative government the world has ever seen, and the most
socially liberal!

As I said in another thread, my future children will no longer be able to afford college.
I think this is the first solid action to show college isn't affordable right now.
It can go in two directions..
Some countries have a system that after high school you take a very intensive test to see if you should go to college. If you pass, you go to college for "free". It seemed to work well and be well accepted.
OR-
College will only be for the rich. I think right now for most areas that means people earning around 400K or more a year.
so if you think our tests are "intensive", you may as well just kill your kids, because they're bound to be braindead anyway after going through your education system.
US college graduates are a bunch of morons, possibly even dumber than before they got in in some aspects. what you consider top tier education, in many parts of the world is considered pathetic at best.
Hong Kong Protesters Call for U.S. Help.
During the 2019-2020 school year, approximately 1,075,496 foreign-born students were enrolled at U.S. colleges and universities, representing 4.6% of the total U.S. student population. Students come to the U.S. from roughly 200 different countries

Isn't it funny that the whole damn world BEGS us for our "braindead" help when needed.

That's why so many foreign parents would give their left arm to have their kids attend school in the US.

The USA is bankrupt.
People agreed to loaning out the money and agreed they would pay it back.
US colleges and universities are sitting on BILLIONS of dollars. Here is a list of 10 that all have over 10 BILLION dollars laying around:
And? PPP loans were given out to mostly the rich and forgiven, but that's OK?

Most of the US’ $800 billion in paycheck protection funds went to the richest 20%
Why aren't people up in arms over this?
