Secret tech? I doubt..there are many desolated locations in the US where the test could have been conducted with zero witnesses except for the test site staff.

Why assume a test ?

There is albeit mostly anecdotal evidence that the allied forces had a highly secretive VLO aerial surveillance platform that was operational at the start of the gulf war (which was 2 days earlier) and was capable of painting targets for laser guided weaponry.

I believe there is a good chance the testing was the year prior and some of which was in Belgium airspace (search the Belgium triangle flap) there being what was practically a confession to that from a senior US forces figure boasting about the ability of laser painting a cathedral under the Belgium Air forces nose.

Will try to find it ... but there was a video with Vinnie Adams, Dr David Clarke and 2 others from middle of last year discussing this topic and the relevation of getting hold of an actual copy from the press officer, Craig Lindsay and all the story behind it including the search for the photographer, Kevin Russell. From this I think there was an associated page with all 6 photos which I then downloaded onto my PC, where I file all cool photos like this including the McMinville UFO etc.

I recall someone from the Daily Record being on that video discussion the photo processor/developing machine the newspaper had at the time, he mentioned its limitations (not being the clearest/sharpest) and also that the negatives if they still exist might be useless as they might be so degraded by now.

Looks like the video I saw was from the Disclosure Team with Vinnie, Dave Clarke et al, there is one regarding the Calvine discussion with premiered on 10 March 2023, but its not the one I saw regarding discussion with someone who worked previously for the Daily Record. Pretty sure it was from one of these videos that I followed a link in the description which took me to a website with these photos. In the video I mention above of the 10th March there are some links and "All My Links" gives you a list and I think it was the one for UAP Media UK that I followed which now conveniently says that the website has expired!

I'll keep digging!

Sorry about all these posts but finally got to the bottom of this.

Okay, video of these photos and discussion is on YouTube, under the subscriber Alien Addict and the title of the video is " Calvine UFO, Ex Press Photographer, has seen all 6 pictures" I think I followed a link in this to get to site where the photos were although that seems to be "locked" by the user. At least the video shows each one of the photos.

Enjoy the viewing if you havent see this before.

Yes, here's the video that contains the slides you posted. Those extra five images are mock-ups, done from memory, by photographer Stu Little who apparently saw the six negatives back around 1993 at the Daily Record building in Glasgow.

Go to 00:11:26 in the video where he starts explaining the process.

really looks like the 117's linage

the fact the US AF paid for the pics mean something real was spotted

we only see the side on view, we would need more than one view of the craft to make a better guess

but i would assume something out of SINOR PROM, the hopeless diamond or something in that like of faceted building model

The US does test alot of stuff in the UK and Scotland and the military escort is likely taping the test flight and running security

I think it might be three ships in triangle formation. The two took off and the one remained on its path.
Watching ISS feed one day, I saw three bright dots over the Atlantic, forming a perfect triangle. Must have been three vessels networked together for a reson that seems like they are amplifying each other's resources or creating some sort of a field.
It was just a thought.

A men in black attack.
Didn't we have a thread on this one back in the mm days?

I jumped to the conclusion that this was a test of some 1980's phased array technology.
Friend who was in the air force back in the 70's said they didn't have that over the horizon stuff under the nose cone back then.

Back in the 1950's for the Oxcart project they set up a big reference mock up in area 51 to see how far away it could be recognized by radar.

The Russian submarine Kazan is visiting Cuba next week, that is what got me looking at this thread.
The Kazan uses some new kind of detection system that replaced an expensive Sonar array in the nose of the sub.

One of the possible hoax suggestions is that it was a star shaped decoration suspended in the air. With the tail fin being an eyelet.

You would need to apply some trick photography or be rather innovative in some other way. Not something I would think was an obvious choice for someone planning a hoax. Not in August anyway. But you never know where the inspiration might have come from if this was a couple of pranksters.

... that or something similar still seems like the most likely explanation IMO.

Cant get too excited about the evocative design because Rendelsham and Cash Landrum had both been reported as Diamond shaped UFO's long before Calvine.

Gibson's north sea tri sighting must have been less than a year before Calvine so pointy classified black projects were very much on peoples minds.

If it turns out the current "ET Threat" flap is in fact about "secret tech"- I wouldn't be entirely surprised if some of the engineer-able outputs manifested as sightings reported across the US and Europe during the 80's.

ETA Where is MM??

David Clarke seems as close to this as any researcher and in the past, he has waffled about whether it might be a hoax or not. I don't know if he still is that ambivalent about it, but his more recent writings lean more toward it not being a hoax, though who knows?

If it's a hoax, the Harriers or whatever they are are harder to explain than if it was a black project test. But the Harriers might also be hoaxed, at least the UK claims they have no record of Harriers in that area during the time the photos were allegedly taken, though I don't know how much to trust that claim, like what if they had Harriers in the area they have no record of...? LOL. Their wording gives them an out for that possibility.

Personally I don't rule out it being a hoax or a test of a real experimental craft, until there's more evidence either way. It doesn't seem very alien, except the claim it accelerated straight up and vanished but there's no photos of that and I'd have to see it to believe it. In fact the only video out of all the numerous claims of incredible acceleration I've seen is the "FLIR" video released by the pentagon, and in that case, the apparent acceleration is a misperception, so I'm wondering if all the claims of such acceleration are misperceptions (if not hoaxes).

Then there was a hoax where some pranksters attached a flare to a balloon and set it aloft. When the flare burned out, an eyewitness, who seemed credible and was a pilot, claimed he saw sudden acceleration when it disappeared, but we know that didn't happen because we know exactly what the UFO was. The pilot eyewitness seemed sincere so I don't think he was hoaxing ot lying, I think he said how it appeared to him, which must be a misperception since we know a flare attached to a balloon doesn't make maneuvers like he described.

MM never made it back here after the great purge of 2023, and he's not the only one. The site seemed dead and even when we got back in, we were being told it's on borrowed time so some people probably thought "why bother"?

ETA Where is MM??

Jukiā€¦..Some members moved onto the Deny Ignorance website after the great purge of 2023.

I was also locked out during the purge, I only got back in by creating another account so I could P2P to a moderator to help reset my passwordā€¦.which worked. I was able to get back into my original account.

The mod, I believe did something to deactivate my newly created account to prevent double use.

Others that left or gave up ā€¦.may not have known or tried to create a new account for the sole purpose of P2P a moderator for help.

Others here simply created a new account using a modified username by adding a letter or number to their original username.

And some just gave up forevermoreā€¦ā€¦probably if not going to Deny Ignoranceā€¦..then Twitter or Reddit.

As for MM who knowsā€¦..for ATSā€¦.he was the consummate Skepticā€¦.especially when it came to documentā€™sā€¦imo.

My recommendationā€¦ if ATS should do another purge and not completely shut down the next time aroundā€¦.open a new account and immediately contact by P2P a moderator for help getting your original account re-established. Avoid making posts or threadā€™s on the new account. If ATS shuts down permanentlyā€¦.Iā€™ll consider moving to Deny Ignorance.

Deny Ignorance is imo, a spin off website to ATSā€¦.presumably the thoughts behind is several ā€¦one being sick and tired of ATSā€™s mishaps.

At some point Iā€™ll stop posting altogether and probably close my accountā€¦ā€¦based on proof positive worldwide news that NHIā€™s Dead or Alive are out of the shadows. At that point many aspects of UFOlogy then falls into place as being true, imoā€¦.and thatā€™s enough for me. I can die, hopefully of old age, knowing itā€™s been for real all alongā€¦..the past, the present, and most likely the future.

The Fat Lady would have sung.

Neither you nor anybody else answered my question about NHI'shere, but if the answer is yes, I don't see how it has anything to do with the fat lady singing. In fact I never heard all this discussion about NHI until Grusch went public, and by that time, AI was already a thing.

Iā€™ve replied to your post at the link you providedā€¦.

As far as the Fat Ladyā€¦..

"It ain't over till (or until) the fat lady sings" is a colloquialism which is often used as a proverb. It means that one should not presume to know the outcome of an event which is still in progress. More specifically, the phrase is used when a situation is (or appears to be) nearing its conclusion.

Lots of folks have some sort of ā€œuntil the fat lady singsā€ in their livesā€¦.pertaining to many other things and situations.

For my personal ā€œfat ladyā€ concerning UFOā€™s and Aliensā€¦ā€¦the government acknowledges UFOā€™sā€¦..my fat lady will sing when the second shoe dropsā€¦..and thatā€™s proof of ā€œgovernment definedā€ NIHā€™s to the world.
