He has used every single reason under the sun to try and justify it, but no amount of spin can disguise it for what it really is; expansionism.

I am fully aware of the events prior to the invasion....but none of it excuses the ongoing death and destruction.

Putin caused it and Putin could stop it, but he chooses not to.

Just using examples but you generalized history and I guess rightful citizenship. You've used it to say Russia has a point, I don't agree. Rather opposed to the way they're going about it too and couldn't see myself agreeing with it.

The West should have pulled back too from rubbing Russia's nose in it post 1991 especailly when attempting to take the FSU. No good was ever going to come of the coloured revolutions, hence, Russia acting out a defensive act right now. They had to act before NATO took another FSU region. It took two to tango and tango time it is. Not agreeing with either side just a mere observation, plus please FB.................... I respect other people's opinions, especially if they are considered and at least take the time to think about other points of view and perspectives.
Far too many people aren't doing that when judging this invasion.

They either support Putin because they have a patholigical self-hatred.
Or that because of their intense dislike of Biden they have to oppose every single one of his policies even if that means supporting a de facto dictator who is diametrically opposed to the very principles they allege to so passionately support.

Critical Thinking... something ATS hasnt really had much of for around 12 years (or at least in the forums on ATS I tend to watch). I think alot of people dont realize you have to be critical even of the stuff and people you agree with especially if they are making extraordinary claims or claims so far out of left field to everything else, and being critical isnt just saying 'thats crap' to everything you dont agree with (unless of coarse its so clearly 'crap' even a blind man could see it). I believe in UFOs, ive seen a 'ufo' personally, ill never say i definitely did see a 'ufo' to anyone, and I only tentatively believe about 3% of anything in the UFOlogy field since almost none of it (even the really good stuff) has enough evidence to back it even 50%... to me that is critical thinking on a subject.

Although a thing like a war and its events are far more easily verifiable than UFOs.

It reminds me of the Election forum and Pandemic forum a year/6 months ago (and probably today, havent visited those ones in a while). All you got was links to bitchute videos of odd balls spouting BS and disingenuously edited footage/news segments to not show or hear bits that gave the real context, or links to website articles with laughable bad graphs and charts as proof... but the moment you read past the first paragraph or got to the end of the video (or watched the original FULL video), looked at the data or graphs presented from multipal sources, or looked into affiliations of said bitchute video makers or websites they'd fall to utter pieces evidence wise... hell some you could find gapping flaws in, within 10 seconds of reading easily... although its funny that the majority of culprits in those forums are the same ones in here on the pro putler side.

But since it wasnt the MSM, and it was spouting what they personally believed.. it was all truth. If theres one good thing to come out of this, its that some people have shown just how readily they are to jump with both feet down the rabbit hole before taking a look at whats actually down there and whats even sadder is they seem to double down on it when shown proof or their claims or view is reasonably and reliably countered.
