Granted, but as a libertarian surely you believe in their right to eat themselves to death as long as they're footing the bill.

Absolutely. But I have a feeling the taxpayer will be on the hook for the inability to limit shoveling food in their gobs.

I suppose the point of this thread is that we're approaching Day 1 of SHTF.

We aren't, it's just more silly doom porn that people are gobbling down as fast as they do BigMacs.

What industry would that be? The department of misinformation and propaganda?

Groceries? I thought that was pretty clear given the context of the thread.

I've got my fingers crossed too. I understand and appreciate the value of hot water coursing through the pies in my house.

Big Mac, large fries, apple pie, medium Coke (not that diet crap either) ... those were the days. I think Burger King went to that fake meat crap didn't they? Alas, those franchises are so far away, it's hardly worth the cost of gas to fuel my full-sized 4X4 redneck truck.

Gonna grill me up a nice lean venison back-strap for dinner tonight.

I have zero concern that there will be food shortages, it's just doom porn fetishization. There is nothing I haven't been able to get food-wise in the past year.

In reality the food industry has the same supply chain issues as everyone else, some brands are in shorter supply than others but food in general absolutely isn't running low.

How disappointing, I was hoping we'd all have to resort to barbarity in the coming months and eat 'exotic' foods.

Maybe it’s because the workforce is full of retards…. The society we live in is not of the sharpest kind.

Poor practice with chemical storage, planning , and untrained personnel.

Employees having a gut full of their jobs thanks to the economics from an invalid government.

Who knows, but a planned agenda I feel might be a small percentage of what’s going on.

How can you be THIS ignorant in 2022???? You feel it's a small percentage because you haven't even bothered to look deep into said agendas. If you had, you would see they began to be rolled out in 2020. It's seen 2 YEARS of this sh!t, how can you still be clueless??

Don’t be fooled by my join date dear squire, ive been around along time. It appears you have mistaken me.

What I’m truly trying to say is that you’re pissing in the wind.

Take it how you will I’ll be here tomorrow.

Hey now, that's not fair! A bidet is a very useful item to have around the house. No need to go insulting bidets by comparing them to the jackass currently occupying the office of the President.

The only thing I've had trouble finding in stock is the Premium brand oyster crackers. Everything else has been in stock in some fashion, even other oyster crackers. They're just not as tasty as the Premium ones, so I go without until I can find a few bags in stock somewhere.

While those are a lot of headlines there is nothing indicative of total, wholesale destruction of food processing plants.

If you think brief interruptions at about twenty different plants around the country will completely disrupt the food production chain you have a woefully inadequate scope of how large that industry is.

How large is the US food processing industry? Well, it has about 21,000 companies and $750 billion in revenue!

To put that in perspective, worldwide processed food sales total about $2 trillion. So, the US accounts for 37.5% of all sales. Other large markets include Western Europe and Asia, with China growing fastest.

AN OVERVIEW OF THE STATE OF THE FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRY

In Fiscal Year 2018, there were 835 federally inspected, livestock slaughter plants in the U.S. An additional 3,773 plants process red meat, but do not slaughter. There were 2,979 federally inspected poultry slaughter and processing plants in the U.S.

The United States Meat Industry at a Glance

The United States is the world’s largest grain producer and exporter and its biggest ethanol producer...

U.S. corn production is now forecast at 362.4 million tonnes in 2019-20...
Barley production in the United States in 2019-20 is forecast at 3.4 million tonnes...
Production of sorghum is put at 8.5 million tonnes...
The IGC’s forecast for U.S. rice production is unchanged at 6.9 million tonnes...
The IGC’s forecast for the U.S. soybean crop is unchanged at 114 million tonnes...

Focus on the United States

Hmmm. I would, at that point, try making my own for fun. I like challenges.

Exotic foods, like those grown locally in your native climate. Probably by farmers whose land you pass on your way from A to B without thinking anything of it.

One of the reasons that you're in this mess is that you're eating all kinds of imported food, or processed food that has ingredients drawn from all over the place.

Looks like you're going to have to rough it, Pork and Potatoes, Steak and green beans. Beer from your local brewery.

How will you manager without your Avocado Latte, and your microwave tofu fries?

Anyone worried about a doom agenda with our food supply has the choice to start prepping and learning to grow your own food.

Pork and Potatoes, Steak and green beans..........OMG im so hungry now.......not seeing any major shortages here, but prices are creeping up and the odd item here and there are missing or very low stock, but could be a number of reasons for it at the moment just like the fuel shortage 'scare' not so long ago that made everyone buy more fuel and create the shortage 🤦‍♂️ a reply to: AaarghZombies

You're right about what you say, but who hires an idiot in a responsible position.
I honestly wouldn't hire someone like that in a responsible position in the first place, unless I have a plan to destroy everything and in the end it's not my fault but someone else's.

Manufacturing hasn't really gotten over the good old days of "employee churn" where companies routinely treated people as disposable. Since Covid they're finding no applicants an those that eventually do show up are virtually useless just walking around breathing till payday.

So yeah...PLENTY of idiots in responsible positions because any body is better than no body.
Companies are also finding training isn't a cure-all if those employees aren't even bothering to engage in the work at hand. The days of meaningful disciplinary action have been over since Covid cause there's no one to replace workers who shouldn't be there to begin with.

No clue if food plants are being targeted or if they're just suffering because older employees weren't able to prevent another industrial accident instigated by lackadaisical newbies.

For people like me that have access to local grown products without the harmful additives and chemicals found in processed food, this will not affect me that much. I even can get raw milk when I want it.

But then again I live in rural America, those that live in big cities will be harder to get by, it is something going on, since the democrats took over and it seems they want nothing but chaos, mayhem, riots and dead for the American people.

Soo far the democrats in power have no done a darn thing for American but stealing tax dollars, while America struggles.
