Because apparently the unprecedented and outrageous $40 billion that the Senate just approved for Ukraine aid wasn't enough, the Biden White House has just announced $100 million more in military assistance to the Ukrainian government Thursday afternoon.
As The Hill emphasizes, this came literally "moments after the Senate sent a $40 billion supplemental aid package to the president’s desk." More, more, more will now be the order of business, the American taxpayer and debt placed on their children's children be damned.
Reuters: US wants to give Ukraine “advanced anti-ship missiles” to defeat Russia's naval blockade. The White House is looking to arm Ukraine with Boeing Harpoon and Naval Strike missiles made by Kongsberg and Raytheon Technologies, Reuters reports, citing U.S. officials.

Manoeuvre warfare isn't taking place in Ukraine: The limitations of Russian and Ukrainian armed forces prevent them from taking a sledgehammer to a nut. Russia's main effort switched to Mariupol, which fell into their hands over the last 48 hours. So the territory regained by Ukrainian counterattacks is offset by the loss of Mariupol.
Moreover, the loss of Mariupol industrial centres will hurt the Ukrainian war effort. One of Russia's goals is to seize Ukraine's industrial and population bases. Yet Russian forces reduce those Ukrainian areas to rubble and massacre civilians, proving how, like Hitler and Stalin, Putin is a deranged tyrant.
At most, the 40 Bushmasters could transport 400 troops, but that doesn't factor in combat losses or vehicles undergoing maintenance. So that represents a battalion and not a brigade and divisional level operations. Moreover, if Bushmasters arrived in sufficient numbers, they would increase the Ukrainian's response time to put out spot fires.
But my hunch is that the Ukrainians have specific roles in mind for the vehicles. So the versatility of the vehicles provides scope for innovation. But that is depended upon the number of vehicles obtained.

This topic came up recently with Peskov (Putins mouth piece). He was briefing the press / people and commented that Russia has no territorial issues with Finland or Sweden. He then said they will have territorial issues with Ukraine, which is something he has never said before. People are thinking that the Russian government is not only preparing its people for the loss of Donbas, but Crime as well.

True but better to bluff if it means tying Russian forces up in defense of something that wont be attacked. Putin took a lot of crap from the Russian people when he annexed Crimea. A LOT of money had to be shifted from other projects to pay for Crimea and thus far it seems that Crimea is nothing but a black hole for money.
The fact that Russia had to redeploy 4 BTG's in the northeast to try and stop Ukraine's advancement speaks volumes.
Key Takeaways
* Russian forces are intensifying operations to advance north and west of Popasna in preparation for an offensive toward Severodonetsk.
* Russian and proxy authorities in Mariupol are struggling to establish coherent administrative control of the city.
* Russian forces reportedly attempted to regain control of the settlements they lost during the Ukrainian counteroffensive north of Kharkiv City.
* Russian forces are bolstering their naval presence around Snake Island to fortify their grouping on the island.
Russian forces are continuing to suffer shortages of reserve manpower, causing the Russian military command to consolidate depleted battalion tactical groups (BTGs). An unnamed US defense official reported that Russian forces still have 106 BTGs operating in Ukraine but had to disband and combine some to compensate for losses.
Russian media and local Telegram channels reported deliberate acts of arson against military commissariats in three Moscow Oblast settlements—Omsk, Volgograd, Ryazan Oblast, and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District—between May 4 and May 18.

Then where do you draw the line if he knows all he has to do is threaten the use of nukes?
When Putin decides he wants Alaska back? Or Western Canada.
Or the Pacific Northwest?
All those territories used to be owned by Russia and Putin is on the kick of claiming land that used to historically belong to Russia.
