Welcome to the legal system. It's all about splitting hairs and nuance. It is not a judge's place to define terms, especially complex ones. It is their job to hear arguments why one interpretation of the Constitution is correct and render a judgment.

The fact that you want a judge to make their rulings based on their preconceived beliefs and not the case presented before them is kind scary.

By the way, since you guys seem so fixated on the biological definition of gender, the biological criteria for something to be considered alive is that it must be able to maintain homeostasis. A fetus does not become viable outside the womb until 24 weeks. Thus, based on the biological definition of living, a non-viable fetus is not alive. Do you think that any judge that doesn't adhere to this definition of living is an idiot?
