It's probably been mentioned but I saw a twit, and I'm thinking they're right, that some of the "police force" were private contractors i.e. paid thugs. Maybe that's why they didn't have to give names or badge number on some of the video?

National guard dressed like local police to disguise Biden's interference in Canadian welfare?
“I don’t necessarily believe that the employment of private contractors is a problem, we are talking about the employment of private contractors with sketchy or terrible humanitarian background or track records,” Dr. David Borys told me in an interview. Borys studied the private military contracting world for Canadian Armed Forces in a 2016 report. Writing in an official Army journal, he outlines Canada’s broad use of “Private Military and Security Contractors.”
And that includes companies like Academi.
“I don’t believe that Canadians are at all aware of the widespread use of PMSCs by the Canadian government, and in most cases, not aware of the questionable track records of some of the companies that we hire, and specifically Academi as an extension of the old Blackwater,” he said. “I think that is an area where most Canadians, are frankly naive.”

You have to have that many citizens convinced it's necessary.
Sadly, I expect that many of them think this is the kind of problem that won't touch them. We've already had at least one of those posters on this site bragging about how he lives so close to Ottawa and none of this has bothered him thus far.
"First they came for ..." Shades of Niemoller and all that.
What's the deal with Academi under Trudeau?
Under Trudeau, payments to Academi have doubled to the tune of millions. In other words, a defence contractor whose previous iteration has a history of war crimes and allegations of an assassination program with the CIA got a bump in payments from the new Liberal government.

I wonder how is going to look when the Canadians start to flow the US running away from Trudeau dictatorship, my daughter told me that Florida is full with Canadians, this not new many own summer homes, but she said this early in the season is no common.
They call them the Canadian geese, mostly retirees,
