This was and is part of the plan.

You and I are meant to pay much more than we have been paying for gas.

This dirty little secret was let out of the bag way back in President Obama's first term.

President Barack Obama’s Energy secretary unwittingly created a durable GOP talking point in September 2008 when he talked to The Wall Street Journal about the benefits of having gasoline prices rise over 15 years to encourage energy efficiency.

“Somehow,” Chu said, “we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe.”

This being Obama's unofficial 3rd term now, we're finally seeing the fruition of the plans laid way back in the early 2000's. It's just taken longer to let everything unfold, as there was a tiny interruption [2016-2020) from the playbook.

Every time you hear a "journalist" or Kamala Harris or some other functionary or official deliver a lecture to the American people on how (fake-sympathetic look into the camera) "this is your small sacrifice for the Ukrainian people", you can understand the context for what they mean.

On 3/5 they were at $3.99 a gallon, today they are $4.29.

Democrats, are you happy now? You did everything you could to interfere with Trump and his America First platform. Is this what you had envisioned? Was this your goal? If you say yes - you are as unamerican as can be. If you say no - you are admitting your POTUS failed and led you in the wrong direction.

So I ask you democrats - which is it?

Almost 5 bucks a gallon for the cheap stuff here in Oregon.

It'll be 7 dollars or higher in two months.

No doubt. It's been going up 20 cents a day, for at least the last week here.

Off topic but, I miss Oregon. Unrelated to gas prices... Funny to hear people in Maine talk about mountains. I'm like, "What mountains are you talking about?" Because I go outside and look around, and don't see a single one. I think their old church steeples are the tallest things they have here, lol. No hate on Maine, it is def a beautiful State, and I obviously enjoy living here enough to stick around.

But.. home is where the heart is I guess. Mine is Oregonian through and through. (Born and raised)

Same here. $4.49 a gallon yesterday. $4.69 a gallon today. Chicago suburbs.

I take a picture of the sign thinking it's a record that will not be broken anytime soon, only to come back the next day for my daily coffee and see that it's 20 cents higher.

I have like 20 photos of record high gas prices on my phone from the past year.

Thank you Joe Biden.

You guys are lucky. Today the price here, Sweden, was $2.5 for diesel and $2.2 for gas, per LITRE!

Thats somwhere between $9-$10 per gallon.

Perspective, however, where I live it would take an hour to walk to the closest gas station/store.
There is nothing in walking distance.
We have to Drive!

$ 3.69 for regular in Central Illinois.

$ 3.19 in Kentucky. [ just got back ]

Got detoured driving through Kentucky, saw the most beautiful pastoral lands I’ve ever laid my eyes on.
The highways pretty much keep you away from the beaten path and all the beautiful places.

This is the reason I chose to move back to Kentucky when I retired...it is a beautiful state and fairly cheap living.

They'll never admit it, some how to them this is still President Trumps fault.
