Clearly some folks know we are being played one way or another already. But if by “people” you mean the majority of the general public, it could take a while. It will be a progressive realization. It may depend on how much and how effectively governments lie about what is happening.

There are lots of people who don’t trust their government to some degree. But the idea that officials, even worldwide, out of the blue, would suddenly support genocide or a complete fascist boot on the neck of their own civilians is pretty hard to swallow for most. Especially those that live in relatively free-ish societies. And those who don’t know much history about the Nazis or the Chinese Communist Party.

I even find myself, when trying to put events into perspective, reaching blindly for some extraordinary underlying reason to explain the insanity-- some end of the world scenario that would justify to any extent a culling of average people and the protection of a lifeboat population.

It’s so hard to believe.

Some people claim that the Bible prophecies such events. I have to wonder if that is not because of some psychic vision of the future, but because of knowledge of the hidden history of the past. Knowledge of human nature tells the wise that when a cyclic Earth catastrophe periodically comes due, the secret controllers of the world that know will inevitably react in an utterly predictable way. Their playbook may be much older than we realize.

He has some views that the Supreme Court Judges cannot just walk away from so maybe not all is lost.

That would require the lawyers arguing the case before the court to actually make those arguments.

Are they? This is how extraordinarily bad precedent is set - get one or more cases before the court, and argue them the exact wrong way, in order to get to a decision that gets you where you want to go (in this case tyranny).

Hopefully Thomas, Alito, Gorsuch etc are up to the challenge.
