I wish I was about ten years younger so I could do more than I can do now. But overall, I am satisfied with my lifestyle. I exited the rat race, how great that feels now. I can do things if I want to, and if I don't want to...I am retired...I can say I don't feel like it.

There is one thing I dislike most of all. Going to doctors when it is not necessary to go. I decided I will not be coerced into going when I am not sick and I will never be intimidated by a doctor again. I will research the tests they do, but I look for ways to normalize things, not just keep on screwing up and take pharmaceutical drugs. My blood pressure jumps way up at the doctors, the top number goes up thirty to forty points and the lower number goes up ten points....seems that going to the doctor is bad for my health.

Eastern philosophy and wisdom on medicine: eat right, sleep right, live right, love right.

Western: “take two of these and call me in the mornin”

And Now; get your shot

My own grama use to try and get us kids to go to the Dr. for any cough or sneeze.

Now I just want sunshine and deep breaths. Hmm

I thought this would be a good question because it would think about ourselves and not all the BS we are surrounded by daily.

For me, I've downsized my life style due to a few factors that I really had no control over, but with negative I had to look at the positive approach of making things better or at least seeing the bright side of life in its changing living environment.

Once outdoors ( safe environment that is ), nature is like a painters canvas with so many joyful colors of expressions. Each color is like a new movement in our surrounding as we wonder among the nature that someone created for us to survive in. Not much can be seen in the large cities unless redevelopment is taking place, but in nature it always a changing path and moving of life. Lets enjoy life to its fullest.

Really nice message! S&F!

Definitely something we all should be thinking about more often than not!

Thank you for this!!

Nope, I feel like giving up every day. But I feel like I’m here for a reason and I won’t surrender. Nothing to lose at this point so I will stand up for what I believe in

I have had the most difficult 2 years of my life, but you know what? I’m still kicking!

I love my life ❤️
I have a very fortunate blessed life.
My husband is amazing and spoils me rotten, my kids are incredible and actually good people. I even have a great dog and a dream house. The only thing to complete the circle for me is some grandkids. I don’t know if that will happen.

Other than the covid bs in our faces constantly, then yes, I am happy with my daily life. I quit my job two weeks ago because the boss was blaming the unvaccinated for masks continuing on, but the angst I feel over it will go... there's tons of work available at the moment.

I used to be endlessly depressed and frustrated but when I was 50 I had a magical turnaround with being diagnosed and medicated for adhd. In the testing there were other profound learning disabilities that have truly set me back in life without me even knowing, hence the endless frustration. With all of this out front now, I've learnt coping methods I didn't even know I needed, I've asked for accommodations based on my disabilities and all that has come of it has been support from other people. The meds clear my head to the point I can take care of things so it doesn't build up like in the past and there is a distinct before and after to my life. I can finally keep a job, well until I quit, but I'm well pleased to have achieved this small bit of normal.

I hate everything covid, and I've been in tears many times over these last years but oddly it wasn't about me this time. The system is broken but I got fixed. It's a very weird juxtaposition.

Gotta play the hand that has been dealt my friend , worst case scenario would be that you are just here to enjoy the ride.

I had to look up ADHD, thanks.

I feel like I don't quite have enough time to do everything I'd like to do. Partially because I do procrastinate fairly often and partially because I have a ton of interests and hobbies that take loads of time. I feel like I get to dabble a bit in some of them but never all of them, which is only realistic I suppose.

Career wise I'm in the best spot of my life, with a cutting edge team that is in the process of building out an amazing business practice. Getting to be part of that is frightening and exciting all at once.

Built and bought my only house before 40 so that's something to be proud of considering the cost and size of the place. I'm not 100% happy with the build and am dealing with some legal issues with my contractor, but it's getting better every day.

The most fortunate side effect of the pandemic for me is getting to spend as much time as I do with my wife. I enjoyed my travel for the most part but always hated that she couldn't always come with me. Not going to an office is a huge plus and being able to sleep in on Monday morning is always a plus.

So I would say that I haven't been happier but I've also never been under as much pressure as I have been before.

I'm very happy with my life right now.
I've said this many times here on ats , that my life has been getting better and better over the last 15 years.
These years have been the best of my life.

As we get older, life does get better. At least I think so. We struggle when young, but seems like at a certain age we begin to think about playing again like a grown child.

Quite the opposite for me . My life was best as a child and has steadily declined each year. Especially once I hit 30-35

Now I'm in my 40s and I don't see a future, especially with all that's going on in the world.

just lying in bed while the sun is shining outside, checking the news and listening to tocotronic. going for a coffee soon, then i'll meet my girlfriend and we'll cycle along the river. tonight i'll play one or two hours of gran turismo online with a buddy and later i'll write a bit. i'm in my late 40s. tomorrow i'm going to the mountains with my sister - our mother runs a small hotel there. i'll work a little in the garden and around the house, my mother always has work for me(: my life is good. but there are #ty days too.

Which is why I still exist!

Sure is hard to enjoy this ride with everything going on, albeit it does seem like we are on the down slope side.

I was retired but took a sound beating in the mkt back in o8 and forced back into the employment line. Best thing that ever happened....blessed to have a 2nd career doing something I would do for free...it's that much fun.
