I'm going to hold tight and see if any of the people who reject the mRNA shot will take this one, or if they will find some reason not to.

I'm still waiting for a rational explanation as to why anyone except a small minority of vulnerable people need any shot. Especially ones that don't stop infection or transmission.

Owning a gun won't 100% guarantee that you won't experience a home invasion, but if you do you will be awfully glad that you made the investment.

If you check out the links in my signature you will see statistical evidence that the vax not only reduces symptom but that it also reduces the risk of transmission.

It could reduce you being sick in bed for a week to you just feeling a little run down. For a lot of people these days a week sick in bed is a weeks worth of shifts that they can't do, which is the difference between them making the rent and them having to miss meals for a month to make up the shortfall.

We all have heard of reports from other places that this is happening.

If anything the death rate is being under reported. Can you honestly imagine places like China or Russia giving accurate death counts?

This number could be 5 or 6 million if you include under reporting from secretive countries, or countries like India and regions like Africa that don't have the capacity to count deaths accurately.

We already know that New York tried to cover up deaths in care homes. Do you think that that is the only place under reporting?

For the last year people have steadily been moving the goal posts. From people claiming that Trump pushed the companies to producing the vax to fast to get it out before the elections, to it hasn't gone through trials, to it's not fully FDA approved, to it's not been in use long enough to I simply don't trust mRNA vaxxes and am waiting for an old fashioned on.

This stopped being about the vaccine itself a long time ago, if it ever was about it. People have become so bedded down in their political views that even people who get other shots will refuse to get it purely because they don't want change their mind.

Assuming that's a good verdict after five years I hope?

Don't wait five years and take it if a #load of people died because of it.

Just started reading this thread and I had to reply.

My reason is that I'm fairly young and healthy and don't consider it a big enough threat to get the vaccine.

That's a benefit/risk analysis.

Hopefully that will suffice for you?

Or do you think we've found the cure for the "novel" common cold? Or do Coronavirus' mutate to infinity?

Anyway, I don't argue about it anymore, you do you, and I'll do me.
