Sec. 171.204. PROHIBITED ABORTION OF UNBORN CHILD WITH
DETECTABLE FETAL HEARTBEAT; EFFECT. (a) Except as provided by
Section 171.205, a physician may not knowingly perform or induce an
abortion on a pregnant woman if the physician detected a fetal
heartbeat for the unborn child as required by Section 171.203 or
failed to perform a test to detect a fetal heartbeat.

What abortion ban?

Abortion is allowed for six weeks until the human little being has a detectable heartbeat. Killing the tiny human at his point is murder.

It is a murder ban.

Oh I’ve read it multiple times, and that’s why I asked for citation because just saying 6 weeks is a false truth as the heart fully forms around 10 weeks, the bill specifically defines this as well, see below, the steady and repetitive rhythmic doesn’t happen until 10 weeks.

SUBCHAPTER H. DETECTION OF FETAL HEARTBEAT
Sec. 171.201. DEFINITIONS. In this subchapter:
(1) "Fetal heartbeat" means cardiac activity or the
steady and repetitive rhythmic contraction of the fetal heart
within the gestational sac.
(2) "Gestational age" means the amount of time that
has elapsed from the first day of a woman's last menstrual period.
(3) "Gestational sac" means the structure comprising
the extraembryonic membranes that envelop the unborn child and that
is typically visible by ultrasound after the fourth week of
pregnancy.

Most ectopic. Pregnancies aren't found till later.
I suppose we should just let the women wither in paid till a fallopian tube bursts.

Well then, have fun explaining that to the bounty hunters because I am pretty sure alot of them will be interpreting it as I am. As most do.

Here's what the bill says:

(1) "Fetal heartbeat" means cardiac activity or the
steady and repetitive rhythmic contraction of the fetal heart
within the gestational sac.

WEEK 4
(6 weeks after the first day of the last normal menstrual period)

The embryo is about 1/6-inch long and has developed a head and a trunk.
Structures that will become arms and legs, called limb buds, begin to appear.
The brain develops into five areas and some cranial nerves are visible.
The eyes and ear begin to form.
Tissue forms that develops into the vertebra and some other bones.
The heart continues to develop and now beats at a regular rhythm.
Rudimentary blood moves through the main vessels.

ldh.la.gov...

It's true that the heart is still developing at 6 weeks. It's also true that at 6 weeks, the "unborn child" in question is still an embryo, not a fetus. So, there is no "fetal heart beat" because there is no fetus at this point.

But Pro-lifers don't care about facts. They care about raw meat and raw emotions.

An acorn isn't a tiny Oak tree. It's a potential Oak tree. An embryo is NOT a tiny person. This isn't a sponge toy that gets bigger when you add water.

An embryo is developing into a fetus, and a fetus is developing into an infant.

Not according to the law.
Otherwise, it would have child support payments due it, if it was found to have disabling defects, it would be eligible for social security payments and death benefits if there was a miscarriage.

Early development of the heart During the first few weeks of pregnancy, your tiny embryo is shaped like a flat disk. By 5 weeks, two tubes that will become the heart have formed. The two tubes fuse together and blood flows through this tubular "heart" as it begins to beat.

It's not a heart, it's an embryonic "heart".

In human embryos the heart begins to beat at about 22-23 days, with blood flow beginning in the 4th week. The heart is therefore one of the earliest differentiating and functioning organs.

The heart begins very early in mesoderm within the trilaminar embryonic disc. The heart forms initially in the embryonic disc as a simple paired tube inside the forming pericardial cavity, which when the disc folds, gets carried into the correct anatomical position in the chest cavity.

embryology.med.unsw.edu.au...

An embryo is the early stage of human development in which organs are critical body structures are formed. An embryo is termed a fetus beginning in the 11th week of pregnancy, which is the 9th week of development after fertilization of the egg. A zygote is a single-celled organism resulting from a fertilized egg.

www.lisenbyretirement.com...

At 6 weeks, an embryonic heart has two tubular chambers. A fetal heart, at 9-10 ten weeks has a 4 chamber heart with valves!

Science is hard.
Pro-lifers are counting on your ignorance.

You can argue with the mayo clinic all you like.
Science defining viability is excellent imo.
You claiming a child with a heartbeat isn't a child is outstanding .
Why do you advocate murdering children?

Why are you advocating allowing a embryo, fetus, whatever stage it is in,
to assault a young girls body?
Even if you want to consider the unborn whatever growing inside her, you are still stripping one girls basic rights for the rights of the unborn child within her.

What? Please cite where the MAYO Clinic contradicts anything I posted there.

Otherwise, like I said, "Science is hard, and pro-lifer/forced birthers are counting on your ignorance.

You are arguing in support of this crazy arse law that has no exception for rape or incest.

You are saying that a conceive egg, is a person, or maybe it becomes a person once a heartbeat exist.
If it is a person it has that same exact rights as the young girl that it is growing in.
And then you are saying that it is murder if the pregnancy is terminated. The right the young girl should be stripped away. Her right to adequately nourish her body. Her right to not have her schooling interrupted. Her right to ensure the proper functioning of her organs. Her right to not choose to risk her own life.
And yous seen to think that masks and vaccines is an equivalent? Yous post no links to prove your claim that you are being forced into anything and I have about four schools in just my neck of the woods that have canceled in classroom learning because they are over run with covid and the parents are just claiming exemptions and the school can't ask for documentation!
Yous are afraid of a mask or a vaccine, or oh. It's my rights...
But, just look at how courageous you expect young incest victims to be. Just look at how easy it is for yous to throw their rights away.

The law yous are debating in favor of is a poorly written piece of crap written by a legislature predominately made up of man, signed into law by a man and it appears that they don't have much knowledge about pregnancy.

Cry us a river. Like I said at the beginning of the whine fest, you guys threw out the “My body, my choice” argument a while ago. Have fun with your own politics biting you in the ass.
