Abortion laws have always been a political patriarchal power grab. Banning them, or "granting" them the right to have one is usually dictated by mostly men.

Sorry gals, your civil liberties aren't on par with the boys, better let them decide for you.

Contraception doesn’t always work. Women carrying severely handicapped babies won’t always know they’re pregnant at six weeks. Young girls who are raped, or victims of incest might not even now about abortion pill or are too scared to ask.

It’ll be fun if mistresses get pregnant on purpose knowing their married boyfriends will want abortion. Get it on film and get a reward! merika!

So many possible abuses with the vigilante bounty crap. So god damn backward.

Hell, soon they’ll try to out law birth control, wouldn’t surprise me one bit.

If she is making it up, so aren't abunch of legal talking head on tv.
According to them if I sent money into the state to pay the bus fare for a pregnant women I might be opening myself up for a lawsuit. Weather or not they would win that lawsuit is debatable but that wouldn't matter because my answer to the court would be rather short and to the point...
Screw you, I can't afford to fight a legal battle in your state and quite frankly don't have $10,000 in cash or assets for you to squeeze out of me. I also don't recognize the validity of this law, your jurisdiction to scrutinize just what I do with the little money I so have, or the plaintiffs ability to prove I knew just what the women was intending to do.
Oh, and I have a gun to enforce the no trespassing sign in my yard I intend to use on any deputized bounty hunters that come around asking questions.

It has been determined by the court to be when the fetus is viable.. as long as there are exceptions for extreme defects (which in many cases means the fetus will never become viable), the life and health of the mother, and rape and incest.
The matter of viability can. And has been tweaked... but there is no way you can claim that a 6 week fertilized egg is viable! It cannot survive outside the womb no matter how much modern .medical care you give it.

That’s your opinion and that’s great, don’t get an abortion.

I think it’s evil to force a women to have a baby she can’t take care of. The child is hurt the most in that scenario. I think it’s evil to force a women to have a seriously handicapped baby she knows she can’t take care of. The child will suffer the most.

I don’t know of any incidents like you speak of so I really cannot say. My sister in law loves her “seriously handicap” child and everyone I know wants their child, so yea maybe I just don’t get it because of the people I surround myself with.

I’ll help you keep the elephant out of the womb if you help keep the donkey out of the 30 round magazine.

Deal?

There are two groups of people..
One group doesn't want the pregnancy itself.
The other doesn't want the baby.
We could do alot more to address the latter group.
Wages that will enable the workers to afford giving the kids a decent life....
Cheaper more available choldcare.
Society realizing that motherhood often is a 24/7 job in and of itself.
Improving and expanding the foster care system.
People, both men and women, being more responsible about who they have sex with, and when.
Decent and affordable healthcare for all.
Men taking more of an interest in birth control.

But as far as the women who just don't want to go through the nine months of pregnancy, short of investing a ton of money in medical research and development to find a way to provide a fertilized egg an alternate host, sorry..

Even though marijuana is not legal in Indiana, Indiana cannot arrest me for smoking it in another State. Isn't that how State Laws work? Why would this particular Law be any different than any other?

Umm. But what I heard from the talking heads on tv, it sounds like just an intent to help someone get to the abortion clinic is enough to find you slapped with a lawsuit. No need to take any action.

I wonder how many times someone was reported to the police for expressing the intent to go on a shooting spree but the cops just let him go on his merry way to murderous rampage??

Biased a bit aren't we?
How many abortions have you had?
How many of those abortions do you regret?

Why do those who are PRO baby murder care so much about 1 state (Texas), yet those who are AGAINST baby murder aren't bent out of shape over states that allow teenage girls to get abortions without informing their parents...or anyone?

See "District of Columbia" on this list: www.plannedparenthood.org...

I bet those who are butting in to Texas's business, are also the ones who snitch on those who do not wear masks, or submit to the potentially dangerous Covid vaccines.

Not that it Is any of your business.
I was molested as a.child. then I was raped soon after I gave birth to my firstborn son..

Banning abortion from young rape victims is just plain cruel!!

I really think parents should know that their daughter has had an abortion performed... abortion is safer than birthing a baby, but it isn't 100% safe and I would feel more comfortable with a parent watching our for any problem that might arise.
What do you think about crazy prolife peeps chasing kindergartners and first graders down the street shouting at them about how the construction site across the street is killing babies? That happened in DC also.

And, I don't get out much but by what I hear both from my liberal and conservative sons...
No one is really enforcing the mask mandate and no one is forcing anyone to get the vaccine... at least in my area.

I’ve never claimed to be pro choice or pro life.
I have on the other hand commented frequently on the ridiculous claims and arguments from both sides of the topic.
We will never have a resolution to the conflict until both side are willing to sit down and have a calm discussion with both sides willing to give a little on their viewpoints and make compromises.

All or nothing will get us nowhere.

Even though marijuana is not legal in Indiana, Indiana cannot arrest me for smoking it in another State. Isn't that how State Laws work? Why would this particular Law be any different than any other?

Sec. 171.208. CIVIL LIABILITY FOR VIOLATION OR AIDING OR ABETTING VIOLATION.

(a) Any person, other than an officer or employee of a state or local governmental entity in this state, may bring a civil action against any person who:

(1) performs or induces an abortion in violation of this subchapter;

(2) knowingly engages in conduct that aids or abets the performance or inducement of an abortion, including paying for or reimbursing the costs of an abortion through insurance or otherwise, if the abortion is performed or induced in violation of this subchapter, regardless of whether the person knew or should have known that the abortion would be performed or induced in violation of this subchapter; or

(3) intends to engage in the conduct described by Subdivision (1) or (2).

Not only is actually having an abortion or helping someone have an abortion illegal; it's also illegal to even consider helping someone get one.

So not only does this law allow any random POS file a civil lawsuit against anyone who may have helped any person with a uterus obtain an banned abortion, it also allows them to sue literally anyone they think might have ever even MIGHT have considered helping someone get an abortion.

I don't see anything that protects a person in Texas paying for a bus ride or plane ride to another state from getting sued. I doesn't protect the victim's mom, for example from her internet search on abortion clinics out of state.

Also, people can be sued for up to 4 years after the suspected event, over and over again by different people. So, a friend of a friend that a pregnant woman confided in, who learned about the event through the grape vine, can sue anyone involved, like the woman's husband to drove her to the out of state abortion clinic. Then that person's brother can sue him, his sister, cousin, mother, father, neighbor, coworker, and Amazon delivery person can sue the husband again and again, for up to 4 years.
