Taiwan is not a defenseless country. They have a very capable Air Force and Navy. AND, Taiwan is allied with the US.

Surprise attack, tactics or weapons could catch us off guard and do harm in short term.

This is always the case, even with best efforts to prevent.

But CCP is nowhere near being able to duke it out with U.S.

Most of PLAN would be sunk in first 72 hours.

3:1 or 10:1, their ships are just not that capable, and our forces are. Fish in a barrel.

Most CCP air forces would be destroyed in 1 week.

And few would get past island's air & missile defenses.

Beijing would be rubble in 2 weeks, without nukes.

Any ground forces trying to reach the island would be easily slaughtered before arriving.



The ONLY reason CCP has not already done this, is that CCP knows the above, and much more.

As a CCP hater, I actually wish they'd try.

I have no idea if they have stolen blueprints or not I bet there's more they want but if they get it outright your talking the workers machines engineers even there own chip arcitechs

The machins being of the most importance the duch won't sell to China gaining asml machines is of high importance to them to continue advancements

Yea we had Taiwan help us build a plant In az with Asml machines not to say we can't do it on our own but if you want a good semiconductor manufacturing plant u still would be much better of with Taiwans help no Taiwan no help much longer time frame for new plants

Taiwan is a global leader in production of all sorts of advances manufacturing equipment, and loss of such would hurt for a while, but would not be catastrophic.

We already have some electronic shortages due to Covid and the Trump tariffs and plain old transportation logistics. Seen a 32” TV (same model) go up $35 in about six weeks time. Prices would go up due to shortages. But maybe that would be a good thing in the long run for quality reasons.

From a military viewpoint, China would be stupid to attempt to invade Taiwan.
Their invasion force would likely be obliterated at sea.

On the other hand, when China places sanctions on imports to the west, it will cripple the American economy.
It will cripple the Chinese economy as well but they will recover decades faster.

When trump was talking about his America first strategy, he was absolutely correct in understanding how much damage China could to to our country. We should have never let so much vital manufacturing leave our shores.

China likely won't do a direct attack - the world would see it coming weeks in advance, and invading Taiwan wholesale as an occupying force would take a million Chinamen.

But what about a decapitation strike? Drop in 1,000, 2,000, 5,000 special forces into the capital, on the military bases, etc.

I have no doubt China has access to real-time information about where most of the civilain and military leadership is at all times.

Parachute in all in one night, kill the top military and politicians so a counter-strike can't be authorized and launched, then do some kind of "administrative" invasion force to replace them.

Let's remember that was it today or yesterday that our own fearless leader all but gave up Taiwan to China in his remarks?
