That movie Shutter Island stuck in my head for years, more so than "Inception" which came out the same year. Same with me. I was all hyped up over Inception just because Shutter Island was so good then was very disappointed with inception. I liked the concept of Inception, I just wasn't on the edge of my seat or anything.

I'm still perplexed as to why I feel the sadness so strong at the juncture. I've know what the Dr. Evils were doing and planning on doing for almost 30 years. Honestly, haven't really followed this enough to have much of an opinion. But, if the last 9 months has been any indication they will probably be released for time served and deported back to Saudi Arabia or wherever. I'm with Cranky on this so-called military tribunal pre-trial nonsense. Those guys should have been sentenced or executed or deported many years ago. Obvious something far more to the story about these 5 guys (or however many they have detained) and what they know that TPTB do not ever want to leak out. Some kind of bargaining chip between US and the Saudis.? Perhaps keep dragging out the dog & pony show until they all drop dead; maybe they're already dead. 20 years worth of lies and obfuscation of truth & facts. The whole fiasco stinks to high heaven.

I agree, they should have been taken care of long ago. The Rock was a good movie. I have watched so many movies I don't remember the majority if them until someone else mentions it. I've started a list today of older movies that I like enough to re-watch. I enjoyed the video on slavery very much. My mothers family was from the area of Arkansas that borders Louisiana, and Mississippi and she took me around to the different farms she had worked on picking cotton when she was a child. There's a lot of heritage down there. Anyway, I was just curious about whether you thought the additions to Gitmo were as they are being reported of if they are for something of a bigger scale....

Unless I'm missing something, there is no byline or source for their work. I also didn't see any legal disclaimer, so it appears they are not even pretending to take any responsibility for what is written.

Articles are described as "posts," and sound very much like the stuff from RealRawNews (I think it was) that resembled fan-fiction about tribunals and executions.

Color me skeptical.
