If you followed what happened to Koresh and the FLDS, you will realize Texas isn't a very safe place for unusual beliefs.

I know many people in Texas talk about freedom from government. Unfortunately there are enough people in Texas (I said enough and not all) who thinks that means only conservative views. I actually saw a post from Texas saying all religions should have to register with the government to receive protection. They were completely serious.

BTW, the same goes for ultra left places like SF. Those people only believe that liberal views need protection.

You get in trouble when a group doesn't fit into the left or right.

Who knew this thread was about Joe Biden!

Doesn't almost every thread go that way?

And they bang on about TDS?

Shocking.

If you asked a democrat back then the answer was: We should be allowed representation based on the number of people we have in our state, slave or not.

If you asked a republican back then the answer was: There should be no slaves so you should have no representation for allowing them in your state.

These are the two relevant answers and totally align with what I said, at this point I don't know what you're arguing.

Didn’t you vote for him?

Overt racism not a deal breaker huh? Figures.

My point is to address your obviously flawed line of reasoning. The thoughts posted in the following text you posted.

Ask yourself this: Who founded the Republican Party, conservative southerners or progressive northerners? Who was the Confederacy, same two choices? Who started the Klan, same two choices? Who was for Jim Crow, same two choices? Who constitutes the current parties (for the most part), same two choices?

Can you answer those honestly?

I don't think very many southerners are owning it, they pretend that because they're Republicans now they can disassociate form the past when their relatives were Democrats. If they saw the original Republican Party platforms from the 1860's-1910's they'd think it was Obama running the Party.

So southern conservatives are at the root of what you listed. At least you were honest.

It isn't a party thing, it's an ideology thing.

Now go ahead and re-read my post and let me know if you now understand how you had it all wrong.

I'll quote my post here so you don't have to change pages:

If you ask a democrat today your answer will be: We should be allowed representation based on the number of people we have in our state, illegal or not.

If you asked a democrat back then the answer was: We should be allowed representation based on the number of people we have in our state, slave or not.

If you asked a republican today your answer will be: There should be no illegals so you should have no representation for allowing them in your state.

If you asked a republican back then the answer was: There should be no slaves so you should have no representation for allowing them in your state.

Nothing you posted has disproved that. As a matter of fact, the reply where you highlighted how both party members thought above 100% proves it.

Thanks.

No. I didn't vote for him. Duh... I'm a Brit. How does that figure?

Your political system is broken. To run for Prez in the US you need billions to throw at TV ads etc.

Here in the UK we place more reliance on actual policies and rational debate when it comes to our elections.

No wonder you end up with narcissistic billionaires who are completely bonkers ruling over you.

A President ‘serves’, Presidents dont ‘rule over’ anyone

An biDen may be completely bonkers (and racist) like you say, but he’s no billionaire

I'll have some of what you're having. This is impressive. When confronted with your own words saying the party ideologies are completely different now and evidence that you seem to wholly accept, and which proves that the ideologies are pretty much unchanged, your response is that you were originally correct?

The party ideologies most definitely have not changed

Nobody is dumb enough to claim that they have

The racists are the dEmocrat party, viewing the black community as somehow ‘less capable’

Republicans view every person as equal and seek to treat them as such. No special leg-ups or assisting

Your President "serves" and does not rule? No executive decisions? Really?

Some

biDen holds the record for EO’s, like a true fascist

But a President ‘serves’ the people. Yes.

You've lost the plot.

The current one seems to be, yes

But yes, the idea is that a President ‘serves’

You’re claiming thats not true. You’re claiming the President is a ‘ruler’

Funny

A self serving President who gave away every cent he was paid for the job, yep.

And the current one is a pro-segregationist who didn’t “want my kids going to school in a racial jungle’

‘progress’

When he was a senator, he openly opposed allowing Black kids into schools with white kids

That’s not disputed

And his close dear friend, senator Byrd (of the KKK) was honoured by joe at his funeral

He’s an overtly racist person, unlike the last President
